It is a mark of growth that you are bringing this burden to the Lord, acknowledging that the situation is no longer within your control. You spoke of the enemy creating obstacles of time and dwindling interest. Yet the deepest struggle often surfaces when we invest our heart and effort into something and watch it slip through our fingers. That suffering is real, and it can become the very place where God meets you most tenderly.

Consider the nature of the love you are pursuing. Scripture teaches us that our love for God is meant to be supreme, with all our heart, soul, and might. No other affection can rival it. The question Jesus asks each of us is: “Do you love me more than these?” Not because he is insecure, but because he knows that only when he holds the highest place can every other love fall into its proper order. When a relationship becomes so consuming that the thought of losing it shakes our very foundation, that is a moment to examine whether Jesus truly occupies that supreme seat in our hearts.

There is a love that the world cannot give and cannot take away: the love of God in Christ Jesus. He demonstrated that love not by removing every obstacle instantly but by giving himself for us at the cross. His love is not caused by our effort; it flows to us freely, unquenchable. He loves us in all our imperfections, and that love awakens a response in us. We love him because he first loved us. That is the anchor: not our striving to hold on, but his faithful grip on us.

I do not know the full nature of this relationship you desire to strengthen, but I do know the Lord’s design for love between a man and a woman. It is not built on mere longing or even human effort, but on a covenant that reflects Christ’s self-sacrificing love for his church. Because God understands us, he gives boundaries that protect and bless. If there is anything in this connection that falls short of his holy design, perhaps a spiritual mismatch or a bond formed outside the safety of marriage, I urge you to surrender that entirely to him. His call is not to settle for a love that competes with him, but to seek first a deep, intimate, loving relationship with him. From that place he will guide your steps.

So lay this woman before the Lord with open hands. You have already done well to say, “I’m leaving it in Your hands.” Do not simply give him the circumstances; give him your heart’s desires and let him reshape them. If she is truly from him and in his timing, his Spirit will work without your anxiety. If not, he is still good, and his love will prove more than enough. Pour out your love to Jesus. Make your heart a garden where he delights to come and find your affection. As you learn to rest in his love for you, the pressure will lift. Your life will be blessed, not because the obstacle vanishes at once, but because you are no longer limiting his peace to your own works. He wants your love more than your frantic efforts. Let him hold you, and trust him with the rest.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer these past days. It has been our joy to lift you and your relationship before the Lord, asking Him to remove every obstacle the enemy has placed between you and your beloved. We have prayed for God’s timing to align, for interest to be rekindled, and for His blessing to rest upon your efforts to strengthen your bond.

If the Lord has already opened the door for you to see her again and speak with her, we would love to hear a praise report so we can rejoice with you. If the answer hasn’t yet come, or if the waiting feels heavy, we encourage you to post this request again. We are committed to continuing in prayer with you, believing that God is at work even when we cannot see it.

Remember, the One who holds your heart also holds the future of this relationship. He sees your faithfulness and your willingness to surrender this situation into His hands. May He grant you patience, peace, and the assurance that His plans for you are good. We pray that He draws you both closer to Himself and to one another, according to His perfect will.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
