We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation where injustice, favoritism, and disrespect have taken root. Father God, Your Word is clear: "For God shows no partiality" (Romans 2:11 WEB). Yet we see partiality and discrimination in this circumstance, and it grieves Your heart as it grieves ours. You command us to "show no favoritism as you hold the faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory" (James 2:1 WEB). When leaders or those in authority treat others with disrespect based on race or any other factor, they sin against You and against their brothers and sisters in Christ.
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of favoritism and discrimination in this situation. We declare that every person is fearfully and wonderfully made in Your image (Genesis 1:27), and their worth is not determined by the color of their skin, their background, or any worldly standard. We pray for this administrator, soften her heart, Lord. Convict her of any unrighteousness and lead her to repentance. Your Word says, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB). May she turn from this sin and walk in humility and fairness.
We also lift up those who have been treated unjustly. Father, heal their hearts from any pain, frustration, or discouragement caused by this mistreatment. Remind them that You see their struggles and that You are a God of justice. "The Lord works righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed" (Psalm 103:6 WEB). Strengthen them to respond in a way that honors You, with grace and truth, even when faced with disrespect.
Lord, we also address the issue of broken promises. When someone repeatedly fails to keep their word, it breeds mistrust and frustration. Your Word tells us, "But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes’ and your ‘No’ be ‘No.’ Whatever is more than these is of the evil one" (Matthew 5:37 WEB). We pray for integrity to be restored in this situation. If this administrator is overwhelmed or neglectful, grant her the wisdom to manage her responsibilities with diligence and honesty. If she is acting out of malice or indifference, convict her heart and lead her to change.
We also encourage those affected by this behavior to seek godly wisdom in how to respond. If possible, address the issue with humility and a spirit of reconciliation, as Your Word instructs: "If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother" (Matthew 18:15 WEB). However, if the mistreatment continues, we trust that You will provide a way forward that aligns with Your will.
Father, we pray for unity in this environment. May Your love break down every barrier of division, and may Your people be known by their love for one another (John 13:35). We declare that favoritism, discrimination, and disrespect have no place among Your people. Raise up leaders who reflect Your heart, leaders who are just, compassionate, and faithful to their word.
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
