We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles you are facing with your daughter. Let us first address the most important aspect, as we know. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. We will pray to the God of the Bible. There is no other name by which we can be saved.
Firstly, we must understand God's heart. It is God's will that we honor our father and mother so that it may go well with us and that we may enjoy long life on the earth. As it mentions in Ephesians 6:1-3 WEB: "Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 'Honor your father and mother,' which is the first commandment with a promise: 'that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth.'" Furthermore, we must recognize that disobedience and uncontrolled anger are not from God. As mentioned in James 1:19-20 WEB: "So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger; for the anger of man doesn’t produce the righteousness of God."
We must also address the issue of violence. It is clear that hitting parents is a grave sin, as mentioned in Exodus 21:15 WEB: "He who strikes his father or his mother shall be surely put to death." While this may not mean literal death, it signifies the severity of the sin and the need for spiritual death and rebirth in Christ.
Regarding her distaste for God's Word and attraction to worldly entertainment, we must remember that the Bible tells us to not love the world or the things in the world. As it says in 1 John 2:15-17 WEB: "Don’t love the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father’s love isn’t in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, isn’t the Father’s, but is the world’s. The world is passing away with its lusts, but he who does God’s will remains forever."
Let us pray for your daughter, that God may soften her heart and draw her to Himself. Let us also pray for you, that God may grant you the wisdom, patience, and love needed to guide your daughter through this difficult time.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this daughter and her family to You. Lord, we ask that You soften her heart and remove the spirit of disobedience and anger from her. Help her to see the love and wisdom of her parents and to honor them as You have commanded.
We also pray for her salvation. Draw her to Yourself, Lord, and reveal to her the truth of Your Word. Help her to see the emptiness of worldly entertainment and to hunger for Your presence instead.
Finally, Lord, we pray for her mother. Grant her the wisdom, patience, and love needed to guide her daughter through this difficult time. Help her to be a shining example of Your love and grace, and to never give up hope for her daughter's salvation.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you to continue praying fervently for your daughter and to seek God's wisdom in handling this situation.
