Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the former landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.

We join with you in this prayer before our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus, for we agree that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him, John 14:6. We thank God with you for His presence in your lives, for His fighting for you, for His heavenly gifts, and above all for the sacrifice of the cross where the blood of Jesus was shed for us sinners.

We hear your burden concerning dishonesty and we agree that lies are indeed serious before God. Scripture tells us plainly, Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight, Proverbs 12:22, and again, You shall not steal. You shall not lie. You shall not deceive one another, Leviticus 19:11. God desires truth in the inward parts, Psalm 51:6, and He has listed among the things He hates, a lying tongue and a false witness who utters lies, Proverbs 6:16-19. We are warned that all liars will have their part outside the kingdom unless they repent, Revelation 21:8, so your concern for the eternal consequences for those who have chosen dishonesty is right and loving.

We commend your heart that even after facing hardships you are asking God to give you grace to show patience and kindness to your former landlord's team, their lawyers and legal representative. This reflects the heart of Christ. We are called to love our enemies and pray for those who mistreat us, Matthew 5:44, and to not repay evil for evil, but to overcome evil with good, Romans 12:21. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good, Romans 12:21. And we are told, Therefore putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor, Ephesians 4:25, and Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings, Colossians 3:9.

Your insight is profound that in order to persist in lies and serious wrongdoing a person must break down every resistance to dishonesty that God placed in the conscience. We pray with you that God would rebuild that holy resistance in them and lead them to repentance and to practice honesty.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus we come before Your throne of grace. We thank You that You are a God of truth and that Your word is truth. We thank You for Your mercy to us through the blood of Jesus. Lord, You see all that has happened with this former landlord, the team, the lawyers and the legal representatives. Nothing is hidden from Your eyes, Hebrews 4:13. We ask that You would convict each heart where dishonesty has taken root. Build up in them a holy resistance to lying. Turn them from falsehood to truth. Open their eyes to know that truth will set them free, John 8:32, and that lies only bring bondage and judgment. Grant them repentance that leads to life, Acts 11:18, and help them to practice honesty in all their dealings. Let truth prevail in every legal matter, for You are a God of justice. At the same time, grant Your children who have been wronged Your peace that passes all understanding, Philippians 4:7, and strengthen them to continue in patience and kindness, not out of their own strength but by Your Spirit. Help them to surrender their will to Yours daily and to trust that vengeance belongs to You, Romans 12:19, while You will repay with righteousness. Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, Matthew 6:10, and let Your name be glorified through truth being revealed and through mercy triumphing over judgment, James 2:13. We dedicate all our lives to You anew and we trust You to bring forth justice in Your perfect timing, Psalm 37:5-6. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to walk in truth and to speak the truth in love, Ephesians 4:15, while entrusting yourselves to Him who judges righteously, 1 Peter 2:23. Keep praying for those who have opposed you, not only that truth would be exposed, but that their souls would be saved. God can use even this hardship to refine you and to draw others to repentance. Stand firm in honesty, for honesty honors God and keeps your conscience clear before Him, 1 Peter 3:16.

We appreciate you sharing this burden with us. Wanting truth to prevail while also praying for the very people who have been dishonest toward you is not easy, and it reflects a gracious heart.

We hear how heavy this has been with your former landlord's team and their legal representatives. When lies have real consequences, it is natural to feel both the hurt and the desire for justice. Your choice to ask God to build their resistance to dishonesty, rather than only asking for your own vindication, is a quiet act of strength. It also makes sense that you would still feel the strain. Showing patience and kindness does not mean the impact goes away quickly.

One thing that has helped others in similar places is remembering that forgiveness and reconciliation are not the same. You can choose to release the hold of resentment and entrust justice to God and to the proper processes, while still keeping wise boundaries and letting truth do its work over time. If legal matters are still ongoing, it can help to stay grounded with trusted counsel and clear records, alongside prayer.

We are standing with you as you keep surrendering your will to Him and asking for truth to bring freedom.

Father, we bring this situation before You in Jesus' name. We ask You to guard this friend with peace, to let truth be clearly seen, and to work in the hearts of all involved so that honesty is valued and practiced. Give wisdom for each next step and grace for each day. Amen.

Your prayer concerning dishonesty has come before us and we join our hearts with yours at the throne of grace, in the name of Jesus who is the way, the truth and the life.

It is a good and right thing that you have not given way to bitterness, but have sought to show patience and kindness even to those who have dealt hardly with you, to the former landlord and to those who represent him. This is to overcome evil with good, and therein is the spirit of Christ. We thank God for the heavenly gifts you have acknowledged, and above all for the sacrifice of the Cross where the blood of Jesus was shed for sinners, for there Justice itself is satisfied and mercy may flow freely to all who confess and forsake their sin.

You have prayed rightly, for lies are indeed a serious crime before the Lord, and He has said that lying lips are an abomination to Him. Holy Scripture is the standard of the Truth of God, and we are bidden to buy the truth and sell it not. By this we mean not only doctrinal truth, that your Word is Truth, but experimental truth within the heart and practical truth in the life, that our actions be consistent and of a right and straightforward course. Let all else go, but have truth in the doctrine, truth in the heart, truth in the life, and Christ, who is the Truth, to be your treasure forever.

We will pray with you that the Lord will build up in these persons a holy resistance to dishonesty and a love for honesty. That He who opens blind eyes would show them that truth will set them free, and that He would bring them to that confession which is abundantly sufficient for condemnation of self but which finds mercy at the Cross. For he that confesseth his sin shall find mercy, and when the Holy Spirit convinces the soul, that soul will no longer rail against God's justice but will smite upon his breast and cry, God be merciful to me a sinner.

Be strengthened in faith, for this truth ought to take from you all fear of man and ensure your submission to the will of God. Trust Him in the storm as well as in the calm, and continue to surrender your will to Him who fights for His people.

We commend you and those who have opposed you to the Lord.

O Lord our Father, in the name of Jesus we ask Thee to work truth in the inward parts of all concerned in this matter. Convict where there has been falsehood, grant repentance and a turning to honesty, and keep Thy children in patience and kindness while they wait upon Thy justice and Thy mercy. Let Thy Word prevail, let Thy truth cover this case as the waters cover the sea, and let all hearts be brought to bow before Christ who alone is salvation. We dedicate all to Thee and surrender our will to Thine, praying that Thy will be done. In the name of Jesus Christ our only hope, Amen.
