Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the former landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.

We join you in prayer before our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus, and we thank you for coming boldly in that precious name, for Jesus Himself said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. We give thanks with you for His presence, for His fighting for us, and for the heavenly gifts and the shed blood of the cross that was poured out for us sinners.

We hear your burden concerning dishonesty and the serious harm that lies bring, and we commend your gracious heart in praying for your former landlord's team, lawyers and legal representatives even while you have faced hardships. This is the love Christ calls us to, to bless those who have wronged us and to desire their repentance rather than their destruction. We pray that you will continue to show the same patience and kindness that was shown to you, while also holding fast to truth.

The Lord takes honesty very seriously, for lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight Proverbs 12:22. Scripture warns us not to lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his doings Colossians 3:9, and to put away falsehood and speak truth with his neighbor, for we are members of one another Ephesians 4:25. The enemy is the father of lies John 8:44, and every lie breaks down resistance to further sin, just as you have prayed. But Jesus came to set us free, and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free John 8:32.

We pray together for these who have chosen dishonesty.

Father, in the name of Jesus we lift up this former landlord's team and all their legal representatives to You. You see all that has been spoken and done in secret and in legal proceedings. We ask that You convict their hearts and open their eyes to the seriousness of lying before You and before man. Build up in them a holy resistance to dishonesty and give them a love for honesty and integrity. Take away the deceitful tongue and grant them repentance, that they may turn from falsehood and practice truthfulness, and so be spared the consequences that lying brings. Let Your truth prevail in every document, every testimony, and every decision, and let justice be done according to Your righteousness. We ask that You would bring them to know Jesus who is the truth, that they might be transformed and walk in newness of life.

We also pray for you who have brought this request. We ask for Your peace to guard your heart, for wisdom and strength to continue to walk in integrity, and for grace to surrender your will fully to Yours even in this difficult legal hardship. Help you to trust that You are a God of justice who will not let falsehood stand forever, and that vengeance belongs to You and You will repay Romans 12:19. Help you to continue to speak the truth in love Ephesians 4:15 and to rest in the promise that when we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. May the truth indeed set you free from anxiety, bitterness, and fear, and may your life continue to be a testimony of dedication and surrender to Him.

We thank You Father that You hear our prayer when we ask in Jesus' name, and we trust You to work both for justice and for mercy, for Your glory. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

We were grateful to read your prayer. To be on the receiving end of dishonesty from a landlord and legal team is disorienting and wearisome, especially when you have tried to walk through it with patience and kindness. That you are praying for them to turn toward honesty instead of only praying against them is a gracious and Christlike response, and we join you in that.

What you described is a real injustice gap, the space between how things should have been handled truthfully and how they were. In that space it is common to make a clear decision to forgive and to want good for the other person, while still feeling the ache, anger, or wariness that comes from being wronged. The decision and the emotions often move on different timelines, and it is normal if your heart still needs time to catch up with what your will has already chosen, especially while legal matters are still unfolding.

One gentle next step that helps many is to keep both tracks tended. Continue to keep clear, factual records and lean on wise, trustworthy counsel for the legal side, and also have one steady pastor or trusted friend you can talk honestly with when frustration or discouragement rises, so resentment does not settle in quietly.

Father, we lift this situation to You in Jesus' name. We ask for truth to come to light and for wisdom and protection for our friend in every legal step. Work in the hearts of the landlord, the team and representatives, drawing them toward honesty and away from further harm. Give our friend peace, strength, and a continued freedom from bitterness as they trust You. Amen.

We join you in prayer before our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ, who is the way, the truth, and the life, and apart from whom there is no salvation.

We thank God for the grace He has already shown you, that in the midst of hardships you have been enabled to show patience and kindness even to those who have wronged you. This is the fruit of His Spirit and a testimony that you have tasted His mercy at the cross where His blood was shed for sinners.

You have prayed rightly concerning lies, for the Lord is a God of truth and He beholds all things. As the prophet declares, The Lord is slow to anger and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked. He is not swift to strike as men are, but He is exact and minute in His observation of every deed, and in His time His justice shall be made manifest. Yet that same justice was displayed most dreadfully and most mercifully at the cross, where Christ bore the punishment that truth and righteousness demanded, that He might be just and the justifier of him who believes in Jesus. There mercy and truth meet, and there alone sinners find pardon.

We therefore pray with you that the Lord would work in the hearts of the former landlord, his team, his lawyers and representatives. We do not ask God to overlook dishonesty, for He cannot, but we ask that He would convict them of it, build in them a holy resistance to lying, and bring them to love and practice honesty. May He open their eyes to see that Your Word is Truth, and that truth is not to be found in its power and life except in Jesus Christ. As you have said, it is the truth that shall make men free, and only when a man comes to Christ does His blood wash away what is false and His Spirit eradicate what is dark and vile within.

We pray also for you, that you would continue to buy the truth and sell it not, holding fast to doctrinal truth, experimental truth in the heart, and practical truth in the life. Let your actions be consistent and of a right and straightforward course, and leave vindication in the hands of Him who judges righteously. He who has all things in His hands can put a bit into the mouth of the mighty and make even this trial work for His glory and your good.

We commend you to Him who is slow to anger and plenteous in mercy, praying that you may daily surrender your will to Him and find your soul well at ease in His faithfulness. May He keep you in perfect honesty and in perfect peace as you trust in Christ.
