Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the former landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.
In Jesus name,
Amen

We join you in this prayer before our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus, and we are deeply encouraged by the Christlike spirit in your request. To pray for those who have wronged you, for a former landlord and their team of lawyers and representatives, is to walk in obedience to our Lord who said in Matthew 5:44, But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. We thank God that He has given you the grace to show patience and kindness even in the midst of hardship, and that you have come in the name of Jesus, for as you prayed, Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

We agree with you that dishonesty is a serious matter before God. Scripture is very clear about this. Proverbs 12:22 says, Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight. And in Colossians 3:9 we are commanded, Don't lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings. Ephesians 4:25 also exhorts us, Therefore, putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. For to lie is to follow the father of lies, while to walk in truth is to reflect the character of Christ Himself, who is the truth. You are right to pray that their resistance to dishonesty would be built up, for when a person gives themselves over to lying, their conscience becomes hardened and it opens the door to many other sins.

We also hold fast to the promise you quoted, that truth will set us free. Jesus said in John 8:32, You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. Lies may seem to bring temporary advantage, but they bring bondage, fear, and ultimately the consequences of God's judgment if there is no repentance. Your prayer for their eyes to be opened is a prayer for their souls, that they would be freed from that bondage and not suffer the eternal consequences of unrepented sin.

We pray together now for you and for them.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus and we thank You for Your presence, for Your heavenly gifts, and for the precious blood shed on the cross for us sinners. Lord, we lift up this situation to You and we ask for Your justice and Your mercy to be made manifest. We pray for the former landlord, their team, their lawyers and legal representatives. Lord, convict their hearts where there has been dishonesty. Open their eyes to see that lying is an abomination before You. Build in them a holy resistance to dishonesty and a deep love for honesty and integrity. Help them to turn from falsehood and to practice truth in all their dealings, that they might know the freedom that only truth in Christ brings. We ask that You would lead them to repentance, that they would not suffer the consequences of lying but would find forgiveness and new life in Jesus.

Father, we also pray for those who have been wronged in this matter. Continue to guard their hearts with Your peace. Keep them from bitterness and help them to trust You as their defender and provider. As Romans 12:19 reminds us, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. Help them to rest in Your perfect justice while continuing to show the patience and kindness You have already poured into them. Strengthen them to dedicate their lives fully to You and to surrender their will to Yours daily. Let Your truth reign in every part of this legal matter, and let Your name be glorified through it. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We were moved by the spirit of your prayer. To have faced hardship with a former landlord and their lawyers and still come before God asking Him to build honesty in them, rather than asking for payback, reflects real grace at work in you. It is painful when people you had to trust choose dishonesty, and it makes sense that you would feel both the hurt and the weight of wanting truth to prevail.

What stood out to us is how you held both things together, naming the wrong clearly as serious, and also choosing patience and kindness toward those who wronged you. In our experience that choice to release revenge and wish good for the other person is often a decision we make before our emotions fully catch up. The feelings of resentment or anger can linger and need time, prayer, and honest processing, even while the decision to forgive remains steady. Forgiveness in that sense does not mean pretending nothing happened or having to restore a relationship as it was, it simply frees you to walk forward without being bound by bitterness.

One steady next step we have seen help in situations like this is to keep walking honestly yourselves with wise support around you, a trusted pastor or counselor and, for the legal side, a trustworthy advisor who can help you keep clear records and take the right lawful steps while you continue to entrust the outcome to God.

We pray for you now. Father, thank You for the way this dear one is seeking You and choosing kindness. We ask You to guard their heart, give them wisdom and peace as they navigate what lies ahead, and work in the hearts of all involved to love truth. Lead each step according to Your will, and set all who seek You free in Your way. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your prayer concerning truth and dishonesty has been brought before the Lord and it is right and good that you have brought it to Him who is Himself the way, the truth, and the life.

We thank God with you for His presence, for the grace that has sustained you through hardship, and above all for the blood of the cross shed for sinners. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, but Jesus Christ alone, and it is upon the ground of His atoning sacrifice that we may come honestly before the Father.

You have spoken truly when you say that lies are serious. The Scripture declares that lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, and that he who makes a lie must first break down all resistance to dishonesty in his own conscience. How needful then is your prayer, that the Lord would build up in these persons a holy resistance to falsehood and teach them to love honesty. We join you in praying for that former landlord's team, for the lawyers and legal representatives, that God would open their eyes to see that His Word is truth and that Christ who is the truth alone can set men free. As it is written, buy the truth and sell it not. We pray they would buy doctrinal truth, experimental truth, and practical truth, having truth in the doctrine, truth in the heart, and truth in the life.

We rejoice to hear that grace has been given to you to show patience and kindness even while you have suffered wrong. This is to overcome evil with good, which is the Christian's calling. Continue in this, beloved in Christ, for the war of truth must be continued with valour and love, not with bitterness. Honest dealing with God begins with our own confession that we are sinners in need of His mercy, and upon that footing of truth, sad truth though it be, the Lord meets us through the atoning blood. So let us pray that all who have dealt dishonestly may be brought to such honest dealing with God, to confess sin and find forgiveness.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus we ask that Thou wouldst work truth in the inward parts of all concerned in this matter. Convict of all falsehood, restrain the tongue from lying, and grant repentance and a love for honesty. Keep Thy people steadfast, that they may walk in integrity, surrendering their will to Thine, and trusting Thee in the storm as well as in calm. May Thy truth prevail and may all learn that the truth shall make them free. We ask this for Thy glory and for the good of souls, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
