Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the former landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.

We join you in this prayer and we are deeply encouraged by your heart to come before the Father in the name of Jesus with thanksgiving even in the midst of hardship. You have rightly acknowledged that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life as He said in John 14:6, and that it is only through His name and the shedding of His blood on the cross that we have access to God and the forgiveness of our sins. We thank God with you for His presence, for fighting for us, and for blessing us with heavenly gifts.

We agree with you that lies are serious before the Lord. Scripture is very clear about this. Proverbs 12:22 says Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight. Colossians 3:9 says Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings, and Ephesians 4:25 says Therefore putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. For to persist in dishonesty one must indeed harden the heart and break down the conscience that God gave, and we must rebuke that sin while praying for repentance, because Proverbs 19:5 warns that a false witness will not be unpunished, and he who pours out lies will not go free, and Revelation 21:8 shows the serious eternal consequence for all liars apart from repentance.

We also see the grace of God at work in you, that even while you have faced hardships with this former landlord's team, lawyers and legal representatives, you have been given grace to show them the same patience and kindness that was shown to you. That reflects the love of Christ and we encourage you to continue in that spirit while still standing firmly for truth and justice, for God is both merciful and just.

We love that you prayed for them to have their resistance to dishonesty built up and to practice honesty. That is a godly prayer, because Jesus taught in John 8:32 You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. Dishonesty binds and destroys, but truth brings freedom and life.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus we come before Your throne of grace and we thank You for Your presence in our lives, for fighting for us, and for the sacrifice of Jesus whose blood was shed for us sinners. Lord, You see the situation with this former landlord's team and their lawyers and representatives. You know every lie, every scheme, and every hardship we have endured. We ask that You would convict their hearts by Your Holy Spirit, open their eyes to see that You hate falsehood and love truth, and build up in them a holy resistance to dishonesty. Help them to turn from lying, to repent, and to practice honesty in all they say and do, so that they may not suffer the consequences of unrepented sin but instead find freedom and forgiveness in Christ. Give us continued grace to walk in patience, kindness, and truth, to not repay evil for evil, but to trust You as our defender and judge. Help us to dedicate our lives to You daily and to surrender our will to Yours. Let Your truth prevail in this legal matter and let Your name be glorified. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to remain steadfast in truth, to continue to speak truth in love, and to trust the Lord to bring what is hidden into the light, for Luke 8:17 says For nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light. Keep abiding in Christ who is the truth, and rest in His promise to work all things for the good of those who love Him.

We were grateful to read your prayer and your heart behind it. Wanting truth to prevail while also asking God to help those who have been dishonest toward you is not easy, especially when you have walked through real hardship with a landlord and legal representatives. That you are asking for their eyes to be opened and for honesty to take root, rather than asking for harm to come to them, says a lot about the grace God is already working in you.

Carrying both the practical consequences of being lied to and the personal hurt that comes with it can be heavy. Choosing patience and kindness in that place is a real decision you make before God, and the lighter feelings of peace around it often take more time to catch up. It helps to give both parts room, continuing to walk honestly yourselves, and also giving your own hearts time and support as you process what this season has cost.

One steady step that may help is to keep clear, simple records of what has happened and to stay connected to a trusted pastor or wise counselor as you navigate any next legal questions, so you are not carrying the burden alone and can make decisions with clarity.

Father, in Jesus' name we lift this situation to You. We ask You to guard these friends in truth and give them wisdom, steadiness and peace as they continue to choose honesty. Work in the hearts of the former landlord, the lawyers and all involved, drawing them toward a love for what is true and away from deceit. Lead all of it according to Your will and bring freedom that only truth can bring. In Jesus' name, Amen.

We join you in thanking our gracious God that He has shown you His presence and His patience in the midst of hardship, and that you have been kept to show patience and kindness to those who have dealt dishonestly with you. This is the fruit of grace, to render good for evil and to pray for those who have wronged you.

You have spoken truly when you say that lies are serious crimes. The Scripture declares that our God is a God of truth and that no lie can stand before His holy justice. Every refuge of lies shall be swept away, for the hail of His righteous judgment will break through every false shelter that men build for themselves. To lie is not a light thing, it is to offend Him who is the Truth, and to store up sorrow for the last day. Yet we also know that confession finds mercy, for He that confesseth his sin shall find mercy through the precious blood of Jesus shed upon the Cross. There is no limit to the power which lies in that divine expiation, and even the greatest sinner, if he turn and confess before God, shall find justice itself pleading for his pardon through the substitute, Christ Jesus.

We commend your prayer that the Lord would build up in these men a resistance to dishonesty and teach them to practice honesty. It is well to pray thus, for to buy the truth and sell it not is the wisest purchase a soul can make. The truth as it is in Jesus, the truth experienced in the heart, must be bought at any price, for without it no man is fit to live or to die. We pray with you that the Lord would open their eyes to see that the truth shall make them free, and that they would be brought to hate the false way and to love that which is honest and just. May the Lord grant them to see that what they do is of their own free will and that responsibility lies at their own door, and may He grant them repentance unto life.

Be encouraged to continue in that submission to the will of God and that strengthening of faith of which you have already given evidence. This truth ought to take from you all fear of man, for why should you fear man that shall die when your cause is in the hands of Him who judges righteously. When fear goes, faith comes in, and genuine faith trusts God in the storm as well as in the calm. Rest in the truth that Jesus is indeed the way, the truth, and the life, and that to believe His word to be true and to appropriate it to yourself is saving faith. He who has fought for you and blessed you with heavenly gifts will keep you still.

We pray together that the Lord will keep you in His truth, that He will guard your own lips and heart from all deceit, that He will bring justice tempered with mercy in this matter, and that He will use your patient testimony to show forth His grace. May He cause all who have walked in falsehood to come to the light, to confess, and to find mercy, and may He keep you looking unto Jesus, in whose name alone is salvation.

In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ we ask that truth may prevail, that righteousness may be established, and that your lives, wholly dedicated and surrendered to Him, may be kept in peace. Amen.

We join you in this prayer and give thanks with you for the presence of God in your life and for the sacrifice of the cross where the blood of Jesus was shed for sinners. It is good that you begin with this confession, for Jesus himself is the way, the truth and the life, and to know him is to know the truth that makes us free, not only from outward bondage but from sin itself.

We thank God that in the midst of hardships he has given you grace to show patience and kindness to your former landlord's team and their lawyers and representatives. This is the training of a gentle and human soul, which is itself a great gift, and it reflects the forgiveness we ourselves have received for much greater debts. As you have been forgiven, you are now called to forgive, and a great reward is laid up for those who do so.

Lies are indeed serious, and dishonesty is a heavy charge. Scripture teaches that the best thing is to avoid sin, and the next is to feel that we have sinned and to amend our ways thoroughly. For that reason we agree with you in praying that God would build up in these people a resistance to dishonesty and a love for honesty. We pray that he would open their eyes to see that truth brings freedom, while falsehood brings consequences that harm both the speaker and the hearer. May they come to confess their offenses plainly before God, so that they may know the greatness of his forgiveness and become grateful to their Benefactor.

We also pray for you, that you would continue to be comforted even in affliction. God comforts those who mourn for what is wrong, and his returns are always far greater than our labors. He does not only remove punishment and deliver from sin, but he makes blessed and gives abundant consolation. Your trials, though great, can become an occasion for gladness and for securing a noble hope laid up in heaven, where our true rest is.

So we pray: Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, grant to all involved a love for righteousness and holiness of truth. Lead those who have practiced deceit to repentance, to speak always in truth, and to be found faithful. Keep your people in truth, in patience, and in kindness, and help all to surrender their will to you. We dedicate every life concerned to you and ask for mercy, justice, and renewal through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
