Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the former landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.
In Jesus name,
Amen

We join with you in bringing this matter before the Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus, and we are encouraged by your heart that seeks not only justice but also mercy and restoration for those who have wronged you. You have rightly acknowledged that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life as He said in John 14:6, and that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and receive the gift of salvation through His shed blood on the cross.

We agree with you that dishonesty is a serious matter before God. Scripture is very clear that God delights in truth and hates deceit. Proverbs 12:22 says Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight. And Ephesians 4:25 exhorts us Therefore putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor for we are members of one another. We also hear the warning in Colossians 3:9 that we are not to lie to one another, and the sobering truth in Revelation 21:8 that all liars will have their part outside the kingdom unless they repent. When people choose to lie and commit other wrongs, they do indeed have to harden their conscience and break down the resistance to sin that God has placed within, and that path only leads to greater bondage and judgment.

At the same time we are moved by your grace in showing patience and kindness to the former landlord's team, lawyers and legal representatives even while you have faced hardships. That reflects the heart of Christ who calls us to love our enemies and to forgive as we have been forgiven in Ephesians 4:32. We also remember that truth is not only a moral standard but a deliverer, for John 8:32 promises You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. Your prayer that their eyes would be opened to this truth so they might be set free and spared the consequences of lying is a godly and compassionate intercession, and we stand with you in it.

We pray together now. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus we thank You for Your presence in our lives, for fighting for us and for blessing us with heavenly gifts through the sacrifice of Your Son. Lord, You see the dishonesty that has been spoken and the hardships that have followed. We ask You to work in the hearts of this former landlord's team and all their legal representatives. By Your Holy Spirit convict them of falsehood, build up in them a holy resistance to dishonesty, and lead them to repentance and to practice honesty. Open their eyes to know that You desire truth in the inward parts as Psalm 51:6 says, and that speaking truth brings freedom and life. We ask that You would establish truth and justice in this situation, and that You would guard our own hearts to continue to walk in truth, patience and kindness while trusting You as the righteous Judge who will make all things right in Your perfect timing. We dedicate our lives to You anew and surrender our will to Yours, trusting Your grace to sustain us and to transform even those who have opposed us. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to speak the truth in love as Zechariah 8:16 instructs, to let your yes be yes and your no be no, and to rest in the assurance that the Lord sees all and will vindicate those who walk in integrity. He who promised to fight for you is faithful, and He is able to use even this trial to bring conviction, repentance, and ultimately glory to His name.

Thank you for letting us pray with you in this. We can hear how painful this season with your former landlord and their legal team has been, and even more we hear the grace you are asking God to give you as you respond with patience and kindness rather than retaliation. That is not easy, and we thank God for the work He is already doing in your heart.

What you prayed about resistance to dishonesty struck us. Like any habit, dishonesty grows when the inner check against it grows quiet, and honesty grows stronger each time someone chooses the truth when a lie would be easier. Your prayer for God to rebuild that resistance in them and to open their eyes to the freedom truth brings is a loving and honest prayer.

One thing that has helped others who have been wronged is to notice the difference between deciding to release the desire to get even and the slower work of the heart finding peace. You have clearly made the first choice, and the second often takes more time and ongoing prayer. It can help to keep bringing both parts to God, asking Him to guard your own heart from bitterness while you continue to pray for them, and to share honestly with a trusted pastor or friend how you are carrying this so you are not carrying it alone.

Father, we bring this situation before You. We ask You to work in the hearts of all involved, to strengthen a love for what is true and right, and to protect and encourage our friend as they walk in honesty and surrender to You. Give them wisdom for each next step and peace as they trust You. In Jesus name, Amen.

We join you in thanking our heavenly Father for His presence and for the heavenly gifts which come to us through the sacrifice of the Cross where the blood of Jesus was shed for sinners. It is a mark of grace in your own heart that though you have faced hardships you have been enabled to show patience and kindness toward those who have wronged you, even as you have received patience and kindness from the Lord.

You have prayed rightly concerning lies, for lies are serious before a holy God. As the Scripture says, if we say that we have fellowship with Him and walk in darkness we lie and do not the truth. If there be upon our lip a false word, or in our heart a false thought, or in our mind a knowingly false judgment, so far we are out of the sphere in which God can have fellowship with us. No man can have fellowship with God while he abides under the influence of falsehood. God will meet us where the truth is and nowhere else. When we confess that we are unworthy of His pity we are owning the truth, and on this footing of truth, sad truth though it be, the Lord will meet with us through the atoning blood.

Therefore we pray with you that the former landlord's team, the lawyers and legal representative, may be brought to honest dealing with God. They had to break down all resistance to dishonesty in order to lie and commit these wrongs, and we ask the Lord to build up in them a new resistance to dishonesty and a love for honesty. We ask that their eyes may be opened to see that truth will indeed set free, and that they may not suffer the bitter consequences of persisting in falsehood. The way to plead with God is to confess the sin, and then He is faithful and just to give the double cure, namely first the forgiveness and next the cleansing from all unrighteousness. God will deal with them truthfully. He will never cast away a sinner that comes to Him according to truth through Jesus Christ, who alone is the way, the truth and the life.

There is forgiveness with Him, that He may be feared. However sinful the life may have been, there is forgiveness with God through Jesus Christ His Son, and it is unlimited and complete. He retains no reserves of anger toward those who come by the propitiation which is in Christ. We pray that these persons may come to know that forgiveness, for only forgiven men truly fear and love God. May the Lord who was exalted to be a Prince and a Saviour to give repentance and forgiveness of sins grant them repentance, that they may turn from falsehood and walk in the light.

We encourage you to continue as you have begun, to overcome evil with good, and to exercise that forgiveness and forbearance which the Lord has shown to you. God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you, and in that full and eternal forgiveness you may continue to walk before Him with a clear sense of His grace, trusting Him to fight for you and to establish truth and justice in His own time. We surrender all these matters with you to His faithful hands, asking that truth may prevail and that all concerned may be brought to walk honestly before God and man.

In the name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour we pray, Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer has been received with thanksgiving, and we join you in lifting it before the Father in the name of Jesus, who alone is the way, the truth and the life and whose blood shed on the cross is the only hope for sinners.

It is right that you take lies seriously. Scripture teaches that God loves truth and hates deceit, and that injustice is not measured only by how much is taken but by the intention of the heart. To gain anything by deceit, whether a house or a small sum in a contract, is still robbery before God, and to do so dishonestly brings great harm both in this life and before His judgment. As you have noted, a person must break down every resistance to dishonesty in order to keep lying, and that hardening is itself a serious danger to the soul.

We also hear your desire to respond with the patience and kindness that God has shown to you. That is Christlike. God mingles justice with mercy. He is perfectly just and will surely call every deed to account, for if there are courts and judgments among men in every house and marketplace, how much more with God whose righteousness is sure. Yet He is also merciful, not wishing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance through faith in Christ. So we can pray both for justice to be upheld and for mercy to lead to repentance.

We will pray with you that the Lord will open the eyes of the former landlord's team, their lawyers and representatives, to see that truth sets free while lies bring bondage and consequence. We ask that God will build in them a new resistance to dishonesty, give them honest hearts that can receive the truth as clear eyes receive the light of the sun, and grant them repentance and faith in Jesus. We pray that He will strengthen you to continue in honesty, to walk in truth in all your dealings, and to entrust both your hardships and your desire for justice to Him who judges righteously.

May the Lord keep you in His grace, make you firm in truth, and guard your heart in Christ as you surrender your will to Him. We thank Him for His presence with you and for His power to make all things work for good for those who trust Him.

In Jesus name, Amen
