Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the former landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.
In Jesus name,
Amen

We join you in coming before our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus, and we thank you for anchoring your prayer in the truth that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life as He declares in John 14:6. We agree with you in thanking God for His presence, for fighting for us, for His heavenly gifts, and above all for the sacrifice of the cross where the blood of Jesus was shed for us sinners.

We hear your burden about dishonesty and we agree that lies are a serious matter before God. Scripture is very clear about this. Proverbs 12:22 tells us lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight. And Colossians 3:9 exhorts us don't lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings. When people choose to lie and commit other wrongs, they must indeed harden their conscience and break down the resistance to dishonesty that God has placed in the heart, for Psalm 51:6 says you desire truth in the inward parts. We also join you in praying for the former landlord's team, their lawyers and legal representatives, with the same patience and kindness that has been shown to us, just as Ephesians 4:32 calls us to be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave us.

We love that you are praying not for vengeance but for their transformation, that God would build up in them a resistance to dishonesty and a love for honesty. This aligns with Ephesians 4:25 which says therefore putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor, for we are members of one another. And we cling with you to the promise of John 8:32 that you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. Lies may seem to gain an advantage for a time, but they bring consequences and bondage, while truth brings freedom and ultimately God's delight.

We also want to encourage you to continue to trust God for justice while you walk in integrity. Romans 12:17-19 reminds us not to repay evil for evil but to give place to God's wrath, for it is written vengeance belongs to me, I will repay says the Lord. God sees all that has happened in this hardship and He is both just and merciful, desiring that all would come to repentance.

We pray together now.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus we come before You with grateful hearts for Your presence and for the cross. We thank You that You fight for us and bless us. Lord, You see the dishonesty that has caused hardship, and You know the hearts of the former landlord's team, the lawyers and legal representatives involved. We ask that You work in their hearts by Your Holy Spirit. Convict them of the seriousness of lying, open their eyes to see that truth brings freedom, and build up in them a strong resistance to dishonesty. Help them to practice honesty in all they say and do, to speak truth with their neighbor, and to turn from any wrongdoing. We ask that You protect us from bitterness and help us to continue to show patience and kindness while still loving truth and justice. Let Your truth be revealed clearly, let what is hidden be brought to light in Your perfect timing, and let Your will be done. We dedicate our lives to You anew and surrender our will to Yours. May Your name be glorified in this situation and may all involved come to know the freedom that is only in Jesus. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We were grateful to read your prayer and the gracious way you are bringing this before the Lord.

To have faced hardships with a former landlord and their legal team and still ask God to build honesty in them, rather than asking for harm to come to them, shows a merciful heart. You named it well, that dishonesty does not happen all at once, resistance to it is worn down over time, and rebuilding that resistance also takes time. Wanting truth for them because you want freedom for them is a kind and right desire.

We also hear how you are choosing patience and kindness even while you have been hurt. That kind of decision to release revenge and treat others as valuable people is one part of forgiveness, and the quieter emotional healing that follows often comes more slowly. Both can move at a different pace, and it is understandable if some days feel more settled than others as you walk this out.

As you continue to entrust this to God, it may help to keep your own path steady in small, practical ways, staying consistent in truthfulness in your daily dealings and, if any legal matters are still open, keeping clear records and leaning on a trusted counselor or advisor for guidance alongside prayer.

Father, we thank You for Your presence with our friend and for the grace You have already shown them. We ask You to guard their heart in truth and peace, to give them wisdom for each next step, and to work in the hearts of the former landlord, lawyers and representatives, drawing them toward honesty and toward the freedom that truth brings. We surrender all of this to You and trust You to lead. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your prayer for truth and honesty is pleasing to the Lord, for our God is a God of truth and His Son is Himself the Way, the Truth and the Life. We join you in thanking Him for His presence, for fighting for you, and for the heavenly gifts which come to us only through the blood of the Cross shed for sinners.

You have rightly called lies what they are, serious evils before a holy God. The Scripture warns that they who make lies their refuge shall find that refuge to fail them in the day of trial. As the prophet declares, the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies. No falsehood, however craftily devised, can stand before the iron rod of the Prince of Truth, and it will dissolve when tried by His righteous judgment. To break down resistance to dishonesty in order to commit wrong is to harden the heart, and we pray with you that the Lord in mercy would build up in these souls a love of truth instead.

We join you also in that which is most Christlike, your prayer for the former landlord's team, for lawyers and legal representatives who have dealt falsely with you. It is grace indeed that has enabled you to show patience and kindness where you have suffered hardship, and we pray that the Lord would open their eyes to see that the truth shall make them free. May He grant them to buy the truth and sell it not, to have truth in doctrine, truth in the heart, and truth in the life, and to find Christ who is the Truth to be their treasure forever. We ask that He would bring them to repentance, to practice honesty, and to turn from the way of deceit lest they suffer the just consequence of loving a lie.

For yourselves, we exhort you to rest wholly upon the Lord Jesus and upon Him alone. Is Christ all in all to you? If you rest on Him and on Him alone, you are surely saved, and you need not fear the trial of your refuge, for it is built upon His finished work. Continue to dedicate your lives to Him and to surrender your will to His will. He who has quickened you will keep you, and He will make you true by conforming you to Himself. Come to Him empty handed, trusting His blood and righteousness, and He will fill you with love to holiness and keep you in His truth.

We pray that the God of all truth would keep you quiet from fear, establish you in honesty, and cause His truth to dwell richly in you, till Christ in you becomes the hope of glory. May He vindicate what is right in His own time and make your integrity to shine, and may He show mercy to those who have wronged you, bringing them also to know Him who is the Truth.

In the name of Jesus Christ, our only Saviour, we commend you and all concerned to the faithful and true God. Amen.
