Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the former landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.
In Jesus name,
Amen

We join you in this powerful and Christ centered prayer and we are encouraged by your heart to pray even for those who have wronged you, including the former landlord's team and their lawyers and legal representatives. This is the very love of Christ in action, to show patience and kindness even while facing hardship and dishonesty, and to desire not their punishment but their repentance and freedom in the truth.

You are right to call lies serious. The Scripture is very clear that God hates dishonesty and loves truth because He Himself is truth. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and also You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. John 8:32. Lying is not a small matter before God. Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight. Proverbs 12:22 and we are commanded Therefore putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. For we are members of one another. Ephesians 4:25 and Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings. Colossians 3:9. The enemy is the father of lies, but our Lord is the God of truth, and when a person must break down their resistance to dishonesty to continue in it, their conscience becomes hardened and they are in great spiritual danger.

We also hear your grace in wanting God to build up their resistance to dishonesty again. That is a prayer for their conscience to be awakened and for conviction to lead to repentance. We pray with you that God would open their eyes to see that truth brings freedom while lies bring bondage and consequences. A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he who pours out lies shall not go free. Proverbs 19:5. Yet God desires mercy and repentance over judgment.

We also want to encourage you to continue to entrust justice to the Lord while you walk in integrity. We know you have faced hardships, and it is right to seek truth and lawful justice, but we also remember the word, Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord. Romans 12:19. We can pursue what is right and true through proper means and at the same time release bitterness and leave the final judgment to Him. Be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32.

We pray together now.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus we come before Your throne of grace and we thank You for Your presence in our lives and for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts. Thank You for the sacrifice of the cross where the blood of Jesus was shed for us sinners. Lord, You see all dishonesty and every false word spoken by this former landlord's team and their lawyers and representatives. You know the hardships that have been caused. We ask that You convict every heart that has chosen lies and that You by Your Holy Spirit rebuild a holy resistance to dishonesty within them. Open their eyes to see that You hate lying and that truth alone sets us free. Bring them to repentance, that they would turn from falsehood and practice honesty and walk in integrity before You and before man. Lord, we also ask that You guard our own hearts from resentment and keep us in Your truth, that we would continue to show the same patience and kindness that You have shown us, while also standing firmly for what is right. Let Your justice and Your mercy both be revealed in this situation. We dedicate our lives to You and surrender our will to You. Let Your will be done and let Your name be glorified. In the mighty and saving name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

We appreciate you bringing this before the Lord so honestly. What stood out to us is not just the hardship you endured with your former landlord and their legal team, but the way you are choosing to respond with patience and kindness and to pray for them to walk in truth. That is not easy when lies have caused real harm.

Choosing to let go of the desire to get even and to treat those who hurt you as people still made in God's image is a real decision of the will, and it often comes before the heart fully feels at peace. It is normal if anger or hurt still rises up at times even while you have decided to forgive. Both are part of the process, and God is patient with you as you walk it out.

If legal matters are still ongoing, we encourage you to continue to keep clear records and lean on wise, trusted counsel in your community or church as you navigate next steps, while you keep entrusting the outcome to God.

We are praying with you.

Father in Jesus' name we thank You for this heart that wants truth and mercy. Heal the wounds left by dishonesty, guard them in Your peace, and work in the hearts of all involved to love honesty and turn from what harms. Lead each step ahead according to Your will. Amen.

We join you in prayer before the living God who is light, and in him is no darkness at all. You have done well to come in the name of Jesus, for he is the way, the truth and the life, and there is no other name by which sinners are saved. We thank God with you for his presence, for his heavenly gifts, and above all for the blood shed upon the cross for sinners.

You speak truly when you say that lies are serious. The Lord never misrepresents, nor has fellowship with misrepresentation. If we say we have fellowship with him and walk in darkness, we lie and do not the truth. There must be a laying aside of all insincerity, a dealing with God in truth, before the gracious God can put away our iniquity. Sincerity is indispensable to mercy, for how can the Lord be other than a consuming fire to hypocrisy. Every refuge of lies shall be tried by the plummet of his truth, and that which is not built upon Christ the precious cornerstone shall not stand.

We commend you for seeking grace to show patience and kindness even in hardship. This is to walk in the light. If we walk in the light with him, our condition will tally with his promise, that we shall see sin in ourselves and daily feel the blood of Jesus Christ cleansing us therefrom. Continue in that light, confessing your own need of that cleansing, and dedicating your lives anew to him and surrendering your will to his.

We pray with you for the former landlord's team, for lawyers and legal representatives. We do not ask God to wink at dishonesty, but to deliver from it. May the Lord who dealt with adversaries of old and who is not playing with sinners, open their eyes to see that truth alone sets free. May he build up in them a holy resistance to falsehood, grant them repentance and honesty, and bring them to deal fairly with their own souls before him. The difficulties do not lie with Christ, for he is able to forgive and to renew, but with the heart that will not trust him. May they be led to trust the Saviour with their souls, and so learn to love truth because they have first been loved by the Truth himself.

We pray that the Lord will fight for you, keep you in his peace, and cause even this trial to work for your good and his glory. May you be kept from all refuges of lies, resting only upon the foundation which God has laid, even Jesus Christ.

Heavenly Father, we ask in the name of Jesus that thou wouldst cause light to shine where darkness has been, that thou wouldst make honest hearts by thy Spirit, and that thou wouldst keep thy people walking in sincerity and truth, cleansed by the blood of thy Son. Grant that truth may prevail and that all involved may come to know the freedom that is in Christ alone. In Jesus name, Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for sharing this prayer and for the humble and faithful spirit in which you have brought it before the Lord. We join you in thanking God for His presence, for His fighting for you, and for the heavenly gifts He gives, and above all for the sacrifice of the Cross where the blood of Jesus was shed for sinners.

You are right to name lies as serious. Scripture teaches that lying strips us of honor and credit and exposes us to shame, and that it wounds not only others but ourselves. The love of truth belongs to those who walk with Christ, for He is the way, the truth and the life, and it is the truth that sets us free. To speak truth with our neighbor is part of putting off the old self and putting on the new.

We also thank God for the grace you have shown in responding with patience and kindness to the former landlord's team, to the lawyers and legal representatives, even in the midst of hardship. This is the fruit of having received mercy yourselves, and it reflects the gentleness Christ teaches His disciples.

We pray with you now that God would work in the hearts of those you have named. We ask that He would build up in them a firm resistance to dishonesty and a love for honesty, that He would open their eyes to see that truth brings freedom while lying brings consequence and sorrow, and that He would lead them to turn from every false way. We pray that they would come to know the forgiveness that is found in Jesus Christ alone, and that they would learn to speak and act in truth.

For you, we pray that the Lord would keep you steadfast, guard your own lips from any untruth, and help you to continue to surrender your will to Him. The best path is first to avoid sin, and when we have sinned, to acknowledge it plainly before God and amend our ways, trusting in His mercy. May He give you continued grace to live openly in the truth, to find your consolation in Him, and to know the peace that comes from a clear conscience before God.

We dedicate this whole matter to the Lord with you and ask all these things in the name of Jesus, who alone saves, Amen.

Your honesty before the Lord in this prayer is precious and right. God invites that kind of openness. You can tell Him plainly when you are afraid, when you are disturbed, when you are angry and grieved by what has been done. He already knows your heart, and when you bring those honest feelings to Him, He can deal with them and bring His peace.

Thank you for the gracious spirit you have shown in the midst of hardship. To respond with patience and kindness when you have been wronged is to walk as those who have embraced Jesus Christ are called to walk, in honesty and purity and holiness. That stands out, especially when the surrounding culture has little sense of honesty or decency. Your life is bearing witness to the gospel, which is the good news that God forgives sin through Jesus Christ and His shed blood on the cross.

You are right that lies are serious. Scripture speaks of lying vanities, empty lies that people follow, and warns that those who follow them forsake their own mercy. A person may think he can hide the truth or run from the presence of God, but that is itself a vain hope. To keep lying, a person has to break down every inner resistance to dishonesty, and in doing so he only brings more misery upon himself and invites the consequences that God has warned about. No life and no society can be maintained apart from integrity and honesty. Lying lips that speak proudly against what is right will finally be put to silence, and trusting in lying words will never save anyone.

It is also true that a lie is never made right by the good a person hopes to gain from it. God is not glorified by deceit, even if someone claims it will help his case. The call of God is to speak truth, because truth is what sets people free. As you prayed, Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, and it is the truth that makes us free.

So we join you in praying for this former landlord's team, the lawyers and the legal representative. We ask the Lord to build up in them a renewed resistance to dishonesty and a love for truth, to open their eyes to see that honesty is the path of freedom and mercy. We pray that any false testimony would be exposed and silenced, and that what is true would be made clear. One purpose of prayer for those involved in legal and governmental matters is that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty, for the purpose of authority is to preserve what is good.

We also pray that they would come to know the grace of God through Jesus Christ. We do not relate to God on the basis of a legal record we try to keep, but on the basis of a loving relationship made possible because Jesus bore our sins. That forgiveness is offered to all, including those who have lied, if they will turn from their sin and trust in Him. God loves and forgives because of faith in Jesus, and that is where true peace and joy are found.

Father, in the name of Jesus we lift up this situation to You. Thank You for Your presence, for fighting for Your people, and for the heavenly gifts You give. Thank You for the cross where Jesus shed His blood for sinners. We ask You to work in the hearts of these men and women who have dealt dishonestly, to convict them, to give them a hatred for lies and a hunger for truth, and to keep them from suffering the bitter consequences of deceit. Give to the one who prayed continued grace to walk in honesty, to surrender all to Your will, and to rest in Your justice and mercy. Let truth prevail and let Your name be honored. In Jesus name, Amen.
