Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.

We join with you in this prayer and we are deeply encouraged by your heart to pray for those who have wronged you, showing the same patience and kindness that has been shown to you. This is the love of Christ in action, to bless those who have caused hardship and to desire their repentance rather than their destruction.

You are right to call dishonesty what it is, a serious sin before God. Scripture is very clear that God hates lying and loves truth because He Himself is truth. As you prayed, Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. And you rightly prayed that the truth will set us free, for Jesus also said, You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. John 8:32. A lie may seem to gain an advantage for a moment, but it brings bondage and judgment.

The Word warns us plainly about this. Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight. Proverbs 12:22. There are six things which Yahweh hates, yes, seven which are an abomination to him, arrogant eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are swift in running to mischief, a false witness who utters lies, and he who sows discord among brothers. Proverbs 6:16-19. We are commanded, Don't lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings. Colossians 3:9, and Therefore, putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. For we are members of one another. Ephesians 4:25. The consequences are eternal, for all liars, their part is in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death. Revelation 21:8. We rebuke the spirit of dishonesty and deceit at work in this landlord's team, lawyers and legal representatives, and we pray they will understand the gravity of choosing falsehood over truth.

We also commend you for recognizing that in order to persist in lying, a person must break down their own resistance to dishonesty and sear their conscience. We pray with you that God will rebuild that resistance and restore a love for honesty.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus we come before Your throne of grace and we thank You for Your presence in our lives, for fighting for us, and for blessing us with heavenly gifts through the sacrifice of the Cross where the blood of Jesus was shed for us sinners. Lord, You see the hardships we have faced with this landlord's team and their legal representatives. You know every lie that has been spoken and every serious wrong that has been committed. We ask for Your justice and Your mercy to prevail. Lord, build up in them a holy resistance to dishonesty. Convict their hearts, open their eyes to see that truth will set them free, and grant them repentance to turn from falsehood and practice honesty. Help them to know that it is only through Jesus, who is the truth, that they can be forgiven and made new. Protect us from bitterness and keep us walking in truth and integrity, trusting that vengeance belongs to You and You will repay. Romans 12:19. We dedicate our lives to You anew and surrender our will to Yours. Let truth and righteousness reign in this situation for Your glory. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to walk in truth, to speak truth in love, and to entrust this legal matter fully to the Lord who is the righteous Judge. Continue to show kindness without compromising the truth, keep careful and honest records of what is true, and seek godly and wise counsel as you pursue what is right. The Lord delights in honesty and He will honor those who honor Him.

We were encouraged reading your prayer. Choosing to ask God to grow honesty in the very people who have made things hard for you, the landlord's team and those representing them, says a lot about the grace God has been forming in you, even while you have carried real hardship through this legal strain.

It makes sense that lies feel so heavy. They break trust and force you to spend extra energy simply standing for what is true. Wanting God to build resistance to dishonesty in others and to let truth bring freedom is a good and loving request. We also notice the steadiness in how you have tried to answer with patience and kindness even when it has cost you.

That kind of steady choice and the feelings that go with it do not always move at the same speed. You can decide to release the need to get even and to treat others as people made in God's image, and still feel the ache and anger when you remember what happened. Both can be true as God continues to shape your heart.

One small step that often helps when legal matters are still unfolding is to keep a simple factual record of dates, conversations and documents, and to have one trusted, level-headed person review things with you. It keeps you grounded in truth without having to carry it all alone in your mind, and leaves room for prayer to stay prayer.

Father, we lift this whole situation to You. Guard what is true, soften and shape every heart toward honesty, and give our friends here peace, wisdom and steady strength as they surrender their lives and will to You. Keep them close and guide each next step. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer is heard and it is right and good that you have brought this matter before the Lord in the name of Jesus, who is the way, the truth and the life.

God is light, that is truth, for He can neither err nor break His word, and therefore He cannot smile on anything that is false. If there be upon the lip a false word, or in the heart a false thought, so far we are out of the sphere in which God can have fellowship with us. There must be a laying aside of all insincerity, a dealing with God in truth, before the gracious God can put away iniquity. Sincerity is indispensable to mercy. Yet this is our comfort, that God will deal with you truthfully and He will never cast away a sinner that comes to Him according to truth, confessing his guilt and trusting the blood shed on the Cross.

You have done well to pray not with bitterness but with patience and kindness toward those who have dealt dishonestly with you, the landlord's team and those who represent them. We wrestle not with flesh and blood. We are at war with error and with sin, but not with men. We love the persons of those who have opposed us and we pray for them, while we smite their sin with a stout heart. To lie and to commit serious crimes, a man must first break down all resistance to dishonesty within his own conscience, and only the grace of God can build it up again.

So let us pray that the Lord will open their eyes to see that His truth alone can set them free. Buy the truth at any price and sell it not. May the truth of God be burned into the soul by the operation of the Holy Spirit, not as theory or head knowledge only, but as truth within, truth experienced, truth lived. To exaggerate truth is to beget error, and to walk in darkness while claiming fellowship with God is to lie and not do the truth. May these souls be brought to honest dealing with God, to own the truth about themselves as sinners, and there to meet the Saviour who meets us nowhere else but on the footing of truth through His atoning blood.

Heavenly Father, who art light with no darkness in Thee, we thank Thee for Thy presence and for the heavenly gifts which Thou givest, and above all for the sacrifice of Jesus Christ whose blood was shed for sinners. We ask Thee to work in the hearts of these men who have walked in falsehood. Convict them of their dishonesty, build up in them a holy resistance to lying, and teach them to practice honesty in all their dealings. Let them know that truth shall make them free, and bring them to confess their sin and to seek Thy mercy in Christ. Keep Thy people also in integrity of conduct, that we may have truth in doctrine, truth in the heart and truth in the life, and Christ who is the Truth to be our treasure forever. Grant us grace to continue in patience and kindness, to forgive as we have been forgiven, and to surrender our will wholly to Thine. In the name of Jesus our only Saviour we ask it, Amen.

Your prayer for truth to prevail is good and right, and we join you in bringing it before the Lord.

You have rightly remembered that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, and that it is only through His blood shed on the Cross that sinners are saved. There is no other name by which we come to the Father, and we thank God with you for His presence, for His fighting for you, and for the heavenly gifts He gives by grace.

You are also right to take lies seriously. Scripture shows us that dishonest gain, even when it seems profitable, is folly and brings great wretchedness, and when hell and the loss of the kingdom are added to it, how much more is to be mourned. To choose truth is not a small matter, for a life of quiet peace is only truly good when it is lived in all godliness and honesty. That honesty is not only about words, but about a life ordered by God, free from covetousness and deceit.

You prayed for the landlord's team, the lawyers and legal representatives, that God would build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them practice honesty. We pray with you for this. Truth needs an honest soul to receive it. As the sun easily enlightens clear eyes, but cannot enlighten eyes that are infirm through no fault of the sun, so truth easily masters an honest soul, and when it does not, the fault is not in truth but in the lack of candor within. So we ask the Lord to give them clear eyes and candid hearts, that truth may master them, that they may turn from every lie and do what is right. We pray that they would see, as you have said, that the truth will set them free, and that they would be spared the consequences that follow deceit.

We also thank God for the grace He has already given you to show patience and kindness even in hardship. That is the better way. One man may gather gold and fields for himself, but another who uses what he has to relieve the needy, to heal and to deliver, is like an angel come down for the good of others. Continue to choose that better part, to live in righteousness and holiness of truth, which God creates in us anew through Christ.

So we pray: Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, open eyes that are closed to the truth, soften hearts that have resisted honesty, and grant repentance where lies have been spoken. Help all involved to love truth, to speak truth, and to act truthfully, for Your glory and for the good of all. Strengthen those who have been wronged to remain steadfast, patient, and kind, surrendering their will to Yours and trusting You to judge righteously and to provide.
