Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.
In Jesus name,
Amen

We join you in this prayer and we thank you for coming before the Father in the name of Jesus, for Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. We agree with you that dishonesty is a serious matter before God and we commend your desire to show patience and kindness even while facing hardship, and to pray for those who have wronged you rather than seeking revenge in your own heart.

The Scripture is clear that God delights in truth and hates lying. Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight. Proverbs 12:22. You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor. Exodus 20:16. Therefore, putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. For we are members of one another. Ephesians 4:25. And we are warned, Don't lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings. Colossians 3:9. A false witness shall not be unpunished. He who pours out lies shall not go free. Proverbs 19:5. You are right to pray that their resistance to dishonesty would be built up, because every lie requires hardening the conscience, and only God can soften the heart again and open eyes to see that you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. John 8:32.

We pray together with you.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus we come before You and we thank You for Your presence in our lives and for the sacrifice of the cross where the blood of Jesus was shed for us sinners. Lord, You see the situation with this landlord's team, lawyers and legal representatives, and You know every lie that has been spoken and every hardship that has been caused. We ask that You would convict their hearts and open their eyes to the truth that sets free. Build up in them a holy resistance to dishonesty and give them a love for honesty and integrity. Help them to turn from falsehood and to practice truth in all their dealings, that they might not suffer the consequences of lying but might find mercy through repentance. Father, we also ask that You continue to give grace to those who have been wronged, to walk in patience, kindness and truth, to not repay evil for evil, but to trust Your justice and Your timing. Let Your will be done and let truth prevail in this legal matter for Your glory. We dedicate our lives to You and surrender our will to You. In Jesus name, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to stand firmly on the truth while walking in grace. God calls us to speak the truth in love and to leave vengeance to Him, for He is a God of justice as well as mercy. Continue to commit this matter to the Lord in prayer, to document and speak truthfully in all proceedings, and to trust that God sees and will bring what is hidden into the light. Behold, you desire truth in the inward parts. Psalm 51:6. As you remain faithful to truth, He will sustain you and bless you with His heavenly gifts and peace.

We were grateful to read your prayer. To walk through hardships with a landlord and legal representatives and still pause to ask God to build honesty in them, rather than just asking Him to vindicate you, shows a tender and patient heart.

What you described, wanting them to find freedom in truth and to be spared the consequences of dishonesty, is a gracious way to pray for people who have caused you strain. It is also understandable if choosing that patience does not make the frustration or weariness disappear right away. The decision to treat others with kindness and to release revenge is one thing, the slower quieting of hurt feelings is often another, and both can take time as you keep walking with the Lord.

One simple thing that has helped others in prolonged disputes is to keep a clear, factual record of what has happened and what is communicated going forward, and to stay close to wise, steady counsel you trust, while you continue to entrust the outcome to God in prayer. It can keep your mind from having to carry every detail and help you rest more fully when you pray.

Father, we lift this situation to You in Jesus' name. We thank You for the grace You have already given these friends to respond with patience. We ask for Your protection and provision for them, for wisdom for every next step, and for peace in their home. We also lift the landlord's team and representatives to You and ask that You would give them a love for what is true and the courage to practice it. We surrender all of this to Your will, amen.

Your prayer has been heard and it is good that you have come in the name of Jesus, for He is Himself the way, the truth and the life, and there is no coming to the Father except by Him and by the blood which He shed upon the Cross for sinners.

You have done well to call lies what they are, for our God is a God of truth and He cannot lie. Your Word is truth, and Heaven and earth shall pass away sooner than one promise of His shall fall to the ground. To lie is no light thing, for it offends Him whose name is truth and holiness, and he in whom the truth does not dwell proves that he has not yet been made honest before God. We must have truth in the doctrine, truth in the heart, and truth in the life, and Christ who is the truth to be our treasure forever. Buy the truth at any price and sell it not, for you will never be received by God at last unless you bring the truth in your right hand.

It is to your comfort and to the praise of grace that in the midst of hardships you have been enabled to show patience and kindness to those who have opposed you. This is to overcome evil with good, and it is the work of the Spirit of God when a tried soul can still render kindness for unkindness. Hold fast to this, and continue to look to the Lord Jesus Christ for all things, for He is alive and is your familiar Friend, and He will fight for you.

We join with you in praying for the landlord's team, the lawyers and legal representatives of whom you speak. We do not ask God to bless dishonesty, but we ask Him to convict of it and to deliver from it. May the Lord in mercy build up in them that resistance to falsehood which has been broken down, and teach them to practice honesty. May the Holy Spirit accompany the divine truth to their consciences, that they may see that a lie must be repented of and forsaken, and that honest dealing with God begins with confession of sin. As you have prayed, may they come to know that the truth shall make them free, for only when a man owns the truth about himself as a sinner and owns the truth about Christ as the Saviour of sinners can he be set free indeed.

We pray also for you, that you may be kept in the truth and strengthened in faith. Remember that this truth should banish your fear of man and ensure your submission to the will of God, and strengthen your faith in the storm. Dedicate your life anew to Him and surrender your will to His, hanging upon His truth as a pitcher hangs upon a nail, with unbounded confidence that He will not deny Himself.

May the Lord grant you grace to continue in patience, to speak the truth in love, and to rest upon Him who is transparent, truth in public and truth in private, truth in word and truth in deed. May He answer according to His wisdom and mercy, for His glory and for your good.

In the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope, Amen.
