Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.

We join you in thanking our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus for His presence, for His fighting for us and for the heavenly gifts He pours out, and above all for the sacrifice of the Cross where the blood of Jesus was shed for us sinners. We agree with you that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life as He said in John 14:6, and that no one comes to the Father except through Him. It is beautiful that you come in His name and surrender your will to Him.

We also agree that lies are indeed serious before God. Scripture tells us in Proverbs 12:22 that lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who deal truly are his delight, and in Exodus 20:16 we are commanded you shall not give false testimony against your neighbor. The Lord desires truth in the inward parts as Psalm 51:6 says, and He calls us in Ephesians 4:25 to put away falsehood and speak truth each one with his neighbor, for we are members of one another. A false witness shall not be unpunished and he who pours out lies shall not go free, Proverbs 19:5, and ultimately all liars will have their part outside the kingdom unless they repent, as warned in Revelation 21:8. Dishonesty is not a small failing, it breaks fellowship with God who is truth itself and it harms our neighbor and invites judgment.

We are encouraged by your grace in showing patience and kindness to the landlord's team, the lawyers and legal representatives even while facing hardship. That reflects the love of Christ and is pleasing to God. At the same time we join you in praying for truth and justice to prevail, not from a spirit of vengeance but from a desire for righteousness, for it is written in Romans 12:19 that vengeance belongs to the Lord and He will repay, and in John 8:32 that you will know the truth and the truth will make you free. We pray that their resistance to dishonesty will be built up and that they will turn from falsehood to practice honesty, that their eyes will be opened to see that truth brings freedom while lies bring bondage and consequences.

We pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before you in the name of Jesus and thank you for your mercy and your truth. We ask you to work in the hearts of this landlord's team and all their legal representatives. Convict them of any falsehood, grant them repentance and a love for truth, and build in them a strong resistance to dishonesty. Let them choose honesty even when it is costly. We ask you to bring forth truth in this legal matter, to expose what is hidden and to establish justice according to your righteousness. Give to those who have been wronged continued grace to walk in patience, kindness and forgiveness while still standing for what is true, and guard their hearts from bitterness. Help us all to speak the truth in love and to walk in integrity. We surrender our lives and this situation to your perfect will, trusting that you see all and will act in your time. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Thank you for bringing this before the Lord with such honesty and grace. We hear the weight you have carried through hardships with your landlord's team and legal representatives, and we are moved that even in that strain you are choosing patience and kindness and praying for their honesty rather than holding onto bitterness.

Wanting truth to prevail while also wanting good for those who have been dishonest is a difficult place to stay. Choosing to release revenge and to wish them to become people of truth is a real decision of the will, even when hurt feelings still linger. It is normal if peace comes gradually as you keep walking this out day by day.

One small step that may help is to keep separating what you can do from what only God can do. Continue to be faithful in what is yours to do, keeping clear and truthful records and seeking wise, steady counsel as you navigate the legal side, and keep entrusting the hearts of the others to the Lord in prayer, even by name when you can, asking Him to grow in them a love for what is true.

We are praying with you.

Father, we thank You for Your presence with our friend and for the grace You have already shown them. We ask You to guard their hearts in Your truth, give them wisdom and steadiness in the days ahead, and work in the hearts of the landlord's team and representatives to love honesty and turn from lies. Lead all involved toward what is right and bring Your peace and freedom. In Jesus' name, Amen.

It is a right and needful prayer you have brought before the Lord, for you have asked for that which God loves, that truth should dwell in the heart and govern the life.

You have done well to begin with thanksgiving, for the sacrifice of the Cross where the blood of Jesus was shed for sinners, and to confess that He is the way, the truth and the life. Apart from Him there is no truth that can save. Holy Scripture is the standard of the truth of God, and Christ Himself is the truth incarnate. To know Him is to know the truth that indeed sets free.

You rightly call lies what they are, serious crimes before a holy God. The Word tells us that if we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. Our deceitful heart will make the worse appear the better reason and will put the fashion of truth upon a lie, but God will meet a man nowhere else but on the ground of truth, where he confesses what he is, and where Christ is trusted as the atonement for sinners. It is there, through the atoning blood, that the Lord smiles upon the guilty.

Therefore your petition that the Lord would build up in these men, the landlord's team and lawyers and legal representatives, a resistance to dishonesty and a practice of honesty, is according to His will. Pray that they may buy the truth and sell it not, and that they may have not only doctrinal truth in the mind, but experimental truth in the heart and practical truth in the life, so that their actions may be consistent and straightforward before God and man. Such truth is to be bought at any price, for a man needs the truth in his right hand if he would be received by God at last.

I thank God with you for the grace He has already given you to show patience and kindness to those who have caused you hardship. In this you have learned that art of overcoming evil with good, which is Christlike indeed. Continue in it, and remember that this truth should also banish your fear of man and strengthen your faith, for the Lord reigns and He will cause all things to work for the good of those who are His.

We join you in prayer that the eyes of these men may be opened to see that a lie must ever be followed by many more lies to sustain it, and that truth alone brings liberty and peace. May the Spirit of God convince them of sin, bring them to honest dealing with Himself through confession and faith in Jesus Christ, and grant them grace to walk henceforth in integrity.

We commend you as you dedicate your lives anew and surrender your will to Him. May He keep you in His presence, fight for you, and bless you with heavenly gifts in Christ, and may you stand valiant for His truth until He comes.

Your prayer has been received and we give thanks to God for the faith and clarity with which you have brought this before Him. You have rightly confessed that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, and that it is only through His blood shed on the Cross that sinners are saved, and you have rightly named lying for what it is, a serious sin that wounds both the one who speaks it and the one who hears it.

We join you in thanking God for His presence and for the heavenly gifts He has given, and for the grace you have already experienced to show patience and kindness to the landlord's team, to lawyers and representatives, even while enduring hardship. This is the patience of Christ of which Scripture speaks, to endure affliction and not be troubled, to bear wrong without falling away, and to wait on the Lord with hope. Patience is not shown in two or three days, but over much time, and it is proved when we continue to do good while others contend against us. Your willingness to answer untruth with steadiness and kindness is a testimony that God is at work in you, and patience in such trials works a proven character and a stronger hope.

We also join you in praying for those who have acted dishonestly. As you have prayed, we ask the Lord to open their eyes to the truth that sets free, to build up in them a resistance to dishonesty and a love for honesty, and to grant them repentance so that they may turn from lies and escape the consequences that lying brings. Scripture warns us that lying leaves a person stripped of honor and exposed to shame, and that the love of truth belongs to those who would be near to God. May God convict them, restrain them from further wrong, and lead them to walk in truth.

We pray that God will continue to guard you, to give you endurance and wisdom, and to keep you in the truth as you surrender your will to Him. May He fight for you, keep you from faintheartedness, and cause His truth to prevail in this matter.
