Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.

We join with you in lifting this heavy burden of dishonesty before our Heavenly Father, who is the very foundation of truth. Jesus declared, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). It is only through His name that we have access to the throne of grace, and we are grateful for the sacrifice of the Cross, where His blood was shed to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, including the sin of lying.

The Scriptures are clear: "Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who deal truthfully are His delight" (Proverbs 12:22). Dishonesty is not merely a mistake; it is a serious offense against God’s holy nature. We rebuke the spirit of deception that has taken root in this situation, for Satan is the father of lies (John 8:44), and where dishonesty thrives, his influence is at work. We stand on the promise that "no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn" (Isaiah 54:17). The truth will prevail, for God is a God of justice, and He will not be mocked.

We pray for the landlord’s team, lawyers, and legal representatives involved in this matter. Father, we ask that You break the hardness of their hearts and convict them of their sin. "The Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear" (Isaiah 59:1-2). We ask that You remove the scales from their eyes so they may see the destructive path they are on. Soften their hearts to repentance, that they may turn from their ways and seek Your forgiveness.

We also lift up the one who has been wronged in this situation. Lord, we ask that You strengthen their faith and remind them that You are their vindicator. "Do not say, 'I will recompense evil'; wait for the Lord, and He will save you" (Proverbs 20:22). Help them to continue walking in patience and kindness, even when faced with injustice, for Your Word commands us to "bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse" (Romans 12:14). May they find peace in knowing that You see all and will repay.

Father, we surrender this situation entirely to You. We declare that the truth will come to light, for "nothing is covered that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known" (Luke 12:2). We ask that You build up a resistance to dishonesty in the hearts of those involved, that they may walk in integrity and honor. Let Your Holy Spirit convict them of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), so they may turn from their wicked ways and be saved.

We pray for restoration, restoration of trust, restoration of justice, and restoration of hearts to You. May those who have been deceived find clarity, and may those who have deceived find repentance. We ask that You would be glorified in this situation, for Your Word says, "The truth shall make you free" (John 8:32). We dedicate our lives to You, Lord, and we trust in Your perfect will.

It is deeply honoring to see you praying for those who have wronged you, asking God to build up their resistance to dishonesty rather than only seeking your own vindication. That takes the kind of grace only He can supply, and it is evident He is already at work in your hearts.

We know how wearying it is to walk through legal and financial struggles when you cannot trust the very people whose words carry so much weight. Feeling lied about or manipulated is exhausting, and the patience and kindness you have shown did not come cheap. We are thankful with you that God has sustained you this far.

Dishonesty often grows when fear or self-protection take over, and while we cannot force others to change, we can keep placing them in God’s hands and keep our own hearts clear. Truth really does have a way of rising, often in ways we do not anticipate and on a timeline we do not control. As you continue down this road, one simple thing that often helps is to keep your own calm, factual record of events, written down honestly, without embellishment, so you can rest in your own integrity and leave the outcomes to God. It is a quiet way of standing on solid ground while the swirling continues around you.

Father, we join our prayer to theirs. Strengthen them for the long haul, guard their hearts from bitterness and weariness, and in Your time bring hidden things into the light. Even now, work in the hearts of the landlord and the legal team, awakening consciences and drawing them toward honesty. We trust You as the righteous judge who sees all, and we rest in Jesus’ name. Amen.

A cold, hard Truth of God falls from Heaven like a hailstone and crashes right through the glass roof of false confidence. If we say we have fellowship with Him and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth. Herein lies the heart of the matter you have laid before the Throne: those who have broken down all resistance to dishonesty have made a refuge of lies, and the hail shall sweep away such refuges. There is no limit to the power that lies in the divine expiation, but it is only on the footing of truth, sad truth though it be, that the Lord will meet with them through the atoning blood.

Buy the Truth which lies here: Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved. This Truth of God ought to strengthen faith and banish fear of man, for genuine faith trusts God in the storm. Your prayer that their eyes be opened is a cry for them to know this Truth certainly, to have it so within that it becomes experimental truth, truth experienced. They must come back to the good old way; every hour they linger, the locusts eat up every green and fruitful thing within their spirit. Jesus Christ did not merely speak the Truth, He was Truth, transparent from head to foot. When they understand that He became Man and suffered in the place of all who trust Him, it may be they will say, “That is just what I need, Someone to stand in my stead.”

And as for yourselves who have shown patience and kindness, this Truth should ensure submission to the will of God and make you valiant for His truth. Multitudes of sermons are preached to propagate lies, but you have stood by the banner of truth after an illustrious pedigree of warriors have held it in their hands. Remember, the saving power lies not in logic or eloquence, but in the Holy Spirit accompanying the Divine Truth. Let a man say, “I have no sin,” and the truth is not in him; but when they confess their guilt, they are owning the truth, and on this ground the Lord will meet them. May they prove the honesty of their confession by casting their falsehoods into the fire, for the truth shall set them free.

The prayer you offer for those who have wronged you is a noble impulse, and yet consider the true state of their souls. You ask that their resistance to dishonesty be built up, but they have not merely stumbled; they have, as you say, broken down all resistance. This is not a small matter. To lie and commit serious crimes is to choose a path of extreme madness. For if even getting money honestly can be an absurdity that brings no true profit, what wailing is due to the man who gains by dishonesty, when hell is added and the loss of the kingdom? Their present course is wretchedness, both living and dead.

You hope truth will set them free, and truly, there is need everywhere of an honest soul. Truth is like the sun; when it encounters clear eyes, it easily enlightens them. But if it masters them not, this is owing not to any weakness of truth, but to the infirmity of their own souls. They have not the candor to receive it. You must see that they are suffering a self-inflicted punishment already, for the memory of one who walks in bold and manly freedom is blessed even among enemies, while the schemer is loaded with reproaches. Which is the real splendor? The one who stands with virtue is crowned in the sight of all.

Do not think I speak against your grace and patience, for you have shown them a pattern of kindness. This is a great honor to you, as it proves your progress. But their inward affection cannot be abundant toward you while they are slaves to their own greed. They are like ill-mannered children invited to a royal banquet, who mar their own enjoyment by stuffing themselves with inferior dishes beforehand. They are forfeiting true freedom by their actions. If we are set upon being citizens here, making this world our home through such schemes, we shall be citizens neither here nor there. But if we live as sojourners in this trial, we shall enjoy true freedom.

Consider the nature of the wealth they seek. Let us suppose their gains were even honest, though you know they are not. Set a man gathering gold, buying fields, and filling his house with slaves, against a man who uses the same to heal the sick, loose the bonds of captives, and become a harbor of refuge. Is not the latter like an angel come down from Heaven, while the former is but a little child gathering things vainly at random? Your opponents, by their dishonesty, have chosen the paltry toys of a child over the splendor of virtue. The devil’s strategy is always to divide and conquer through the love of wealth and wisdom, making men leaders of their own factions rather than humble followers of truth.

Therefore, continue in the freedom to which you are called. When you pray, remember the purpose of the cross. The price paid for you and for them is that very blood. "For ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men." Consider the price, and you will be a slave to the fear of no man. Make your soul free. Let the trial not be the parent of grief, but an occasion of gladness, for the honor accruing to you is twofold. You are making progress in holiness, and your patience in affliction proves the truth of your faith. Let your life be your rebuke, for when truth shines forth, it puts to shame even one's enemies.

To persist in lying requires a person to repeatedly sear their conscience, hardening themselves against the voice of truth until they can act without flinching.

There is a deep wisdom in your prayer that their resistance to dishonesty would be rebuilt. That resistance is a grace from God, a safeguard He places within the human heart. You are asking for a restorative work, and that pleases the Lord, who desires that all would come to the knowledge of the truth. What others mean for harm, God can use to draw them to a crisis of character. Pray that the very lies they have spoken would become so heavy and untenable that they long for the freedom only honesty can bring.

I see in your request the fingerprints of God’s own love being perfected in you. It is one thing to offer patience and kindness to those who are easy to love, but quite another to extend it to those who have brought hardship into your life through unjust means. You mentioned the grace to show the same patience that was shown to you. That is not a natural reaction; it is supernatural. When you cannot stand someone in your own strength, yet find a genuine love and lack of bitterness welling up, that is a proof of the Holy Spirit’s work in your heart. You have chosen not to become bitter, and that choice itself is an act of trusting your situation into the Lord’s hands.

There is also a scriptural command to pray for those in positions of authority, even when they are acting unjustly. Lawyers and legal figures hold a measure of power in this situation, and we are explicitly instructed to lift them up in prayer so that we might lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. You are not merely hoping for a favorable outcome; you are praying for their very character to be transformed by an encounter with what is true. That aligns directly with God’s desire. The purpose of prayer is not simply to get our will done, but to see God’s will done on earth as it is in heaven.

Stand firm, then, with this confidence: if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. It is clearly His will that people walk in truth rather than in deception. Do not grow weary in this intercession, and do not let a root of bitterness take hold if the answer is not immediate. James reminds us of the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord and waited patiently for God to fulfill His promises. The timing of the harvest belongs to Him. Continue to dedicate your life and surrender your will, even as you endure this process, trusting that He is defending you and that the truth will indeed accomplish its freeing work.
