Discouraged, anxiety. Anger

Anonymous

Beloved of All
The world discourages me. What I see on social media. Nobody follows God. Women are narcissistic. I’m discouraged by life in general. I had my life. Nobody loves me and I’m undesirable. I’m very close to relapsing and smoking weed. Following God is stupid and I wanna live like the world. Where REAL freedom lies.

We hear the deep pain and frustration in your words, and we want you to know that your struggle is seen and understood. The discouragement, anxiety, and anger you feel are real, and the weight of the world’s influence can make it seem like following God is futile. But we must stand together in truth: the world’s version of "freedom" is a lie, a fleeting illusion that leads only to bondage. Jesus said, *"If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free"* (John 8:31-32). The world offers temporary relief, but it leaves emptiness in its wake. True freedom is found only in Christ, who bore our burdens and offers rest for our souls.

You say nobody follows God, but that is not true. There are countless believers around the world who are standing firm in their faith, even when it’s hard. The enemy wants you to believe you’re alone, but God’s Word promises, *"I will never leave you nor forsake you"* (Hebrews 13:5). The discouragement you feel is not from God—it’s a tactic of the enemy to pull you away from the hope and purpose He has for you.

We must address the anger you feel toward women and the world. Bitterness and resentment only poison the soul. *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you"* (Ephesians 4:31-32). The world is broken, and people are flawed, but harboring anger will not bring you peace. Instead, we must pray for those who hurt us and trust God to bring justice in His time.

You mention feeling unloved and undesirable, and we want you to know that this is not the truth. God loves you with an everlasting love. *"I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with loving kindness I have drawn you"* (Jeremiah 31:3). You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and your worth is not defined by the world’s standards or the opinions of others. The enemy wants you to believe you’re unlovable so you’ll turn away from God’s love, but we must reject that lie.

The temptation to relapse into old habits, like smoking weed, is strong, but we must stand firm. *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it"* (1 Corinthians 10:13). The temporary escape of the world is not worth the bondage it brings. We must turn to God in our weakness and allow Him to strengthen us.

You say following God is stupid, but we must rebuke that thought. The world calls God’s ways foolish because it does not understand them. *"For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are dying, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God"* (1 Corinthians 1:18). The world’s "freedom" is a trap—it promises pleasure but delivers emptiness. True freedom is found in surrendering to God’s will, even when it’s hard.

We must also address the salvation of your soul. If you have not fully surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, now is the time. *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life"* (John 3:16). There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have already accepted Christ, we encourage you to cling to Him in this season and allow His love to fill the void you feel.

Let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for our brother who is struggling. Lord, we ask that You would break the chains of discouragement, anxiety, and anger that are weighing him down. Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remind him of Your unfailing love and that he is never alone. Father, we rebuke the lies of the enemy that tell him he is unloved or undesirable. You created him in Your image, and You call him Your beloved child.

Lord, we ask that You would strengthen him in his moment of weakness. Give him the courage to resist temptation and turn away from the fleeting pleasures of the world. Help him to see the truth—that true freedom is found only in You. Soften his heart toward others and fill him with Your love, even for those who have hurt him.

We pray for a fresh outpouring of Your Holy Spirit in his life. Renew his mind with Your Word and remind him of the hope he has in Christ. Father, if he has not fully surrendered his life to You, we ask that You would draw him close and reveal Yourself to him in a powerful way. Let him experience Your love in a tangible way so that he may never doubt it again.

We declare that he is not a slave to sin or the world’s standards. He is a child of God, called for a purpose, and equipped to live a life that honors You. Strengthen him, Lord, and help him to stand firm in his faith. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to seek out a biblical community of believers who can walk alongside you in this season. The enemy wants you to isolate yourself, but God designed us to thrive in fellowship with other Christians. *"And let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching"* (Hebrews 10:24-25). You are not alone, and there are others who will stand with you if you let them.

Lastly, we urge you to spend time in God’s Word daily. The Bible is alive and active, and it has the power to transform your mind and heart. *"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path"* (Psalm 119:105). Let God’s truth be the foundation you build your life upon, not the shifting sands of the world. You are loved, you are valued, and you have a purpose in Christ. Hold onto that truth, and let it carry you through this season.

We're here with you, friend. We feel your pain, your frustration, your anger. It's overwhelming, we know. The world can be a discouraging place, and it's easy to feel like nobody follows God, like nobody loves us. But we're here to remind you, you're not alone. We're in this together.

You're right, the world's version of freedom is a lie. It promises so much but leaves us empty. But Jesus said, "If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free." (John 8:31-32) True freedom is found in Him, not in the fleeting pleasures of this world.

We understand the temptation to turn to old habits, like smoking weed, when life feels hard. But we must stand firm. God is faithful, and He won't let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. (1 Corinthians 10:13) Turn to Him in your weakness, and let Him strengthen you.

You feel unloved, undesirable. But that's not the truth. God loves you with an everlasting love. (Jeremiah 31:3) You are fearfully and wonderfully made. (Psalm 139:14) Your worth is not defined by the world's standards or the opinions of others. The enemy wants you to believe you're unlovable, but we must reject that lie.

Following God isn't stupid, friend. It might not make sense to the world, but it's the path to true life. (John 10:10) The world calls God's ways foolish because they don't understand them. (1 Corinthians 1:18) But we know better. We've tasted and seen that the Lord is good. (Psalm 34:8)

If you haven't fully surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, now is the time. There's no other name by which we can be saved. (Acts 4:12) If you have accepted Christ, cling to Him in this season. Let His love fill the void you feel.

Let's pray for you, dear friend. In Jesus' mighty name, we ask for peace, for love, for strength, for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit. We declare that you are not a slave to sin or the world's standards. You are a child of God, called for a purpose, equipped to live a life that honors Him.

Seek out a biblical community of believers who can walk alongside you in this season. You are not alone. Let God's truth be the foundation you build your life upon. You are loved, you are valued, and you have a purpose in Christ. Hold onto that truth, and let it carry you through this season.

We're praying for you, friend. We're in this together.
