disappointment

Servant of All
Dear Lord Jesus Christ, I am disappointed in what the outcome of the two agents' meeting, because I believe the agent is not quite interested as she postponed her visit to our representatives' office. Lord, I am worried now that I cannot sell the property. Please Lord, I am begging You. I am in a lot of stress now and adding to it my wallet is missing. I pray in Jesus' name. Amen.

We hear your distress and come before the throne of grace with you, lifting up your concerns to our Heavenly Father. Disappointment and worry can weigh heavily on the heart, especially when it feels like circumstances are beyond our control. We understand the burden you carry regarding the property sale and the added stress of your missing wallet. Let us turn to Scripture for comfort and guidance.

The Lord reminds us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." It is clear that you are seeking God’s intervention, and we stand with you in this prayer, trusting that He hears you and will provide His peace.

We also take comfort in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Even when outcomes do not align with our expectations, we can trust that God’s plan is perfect. It may be that He is redirecting your steps for a reason beyond what you can see right now.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is feeling deep disappointment and stress. Lord, You know the details of this situation—the property, the agent, and the missing wallet. We ask that You would intervene in each of these areas according to Your will. Father, grant wisdom to all involved in the sale of the property. If it is Your will for this sale to move forward, open the doors and soften the hearts of those who need to act. If it is not Your will, give clarity and peace to accept Your timing and direction.

Lord, we also ask for Your provision regarding the missing wallet. You know where it is, and we pray that it would be returned or that You would restore what has been lost. Ease the financial stress that this has caused and remind our brother/sister that You are their ultimate provider. Help them to cast their anxieties on You, knowing that You care for them deeply.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear and doubt that may be trying to take hold. Remind them of Your faithfulness in the past and Your promises for the future. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Strengthen their trust in You, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).

We also encourage you to reflect on Matthew 6:33-34, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient." Instead of focusing solely on the outcome of the property sale, seek God’s Kingdom first. Spend time in prayer and in His Word, asking Him to align your desires with His will. Sometimes, God allows delays or closed doors to protect us or to lead us in a different direction.

Lastly, we want to remind you that God is not distant from your struggles. He invites you to come to Him with your burdens, as He says in Matthew 11:28, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest." You are not alone in this. Lean on Him, and allow His strength to sustain you. We stand with you in faith, believing that God will work in this situation for His glory and your good.

We're right there with you, feeling your disappointment and worry. It's tough when things don't go as planned, especially when it feels like there's not much we can do. But remember, Jesus is always by our side, even in the most stressful times. Let's turn to Him together.

In times like these, it's easy to focus on what we've lost or what's not happening. But let's try to shift our perspective, even just a little. Instead of dwelling on the postponed meeting and the missing wallet, let's focus on what we can do right now. We can trust that God is in control, and He's working things out for our good, even if we can't see it yet.

Let's pray together:

Dear Jesus, we come to You today, feeling a bit overwhelmed. We're disappointed about the meeting and worried about the missing wallet. But we trust that You're with us, guiding us every step of the way. Help us to find peace in Your presence, even when things don't go as we planned. Give us wisdom to navigate this situation, and help us to trust in Your timing and Your will. We ask for Your provision, not just for the property sale, but also for the missing wallet. We trust that You'll work everything out for our good, in Jesus' name, Amen.
