Disability hearing

We join you in prayer for your disability hearing on October 15 and thank you for sharing this burden with us.

We ask our Lord Jesus Christ to grant you His favor and peace as you wait and as you appear for this hearing. We pray that every medical record, document, and report needed for your case would be released without difficulty or delay, and that nothing necessary would be withheld or lost.

We pray also for the judge and for everyone involved in the decision, that God would grant them clarity, understanding, and impartial judgment. Scripture teaches that the Lord loves righteousness and that justice must not be perverted for rich or poor, but that those who judge should look carefully at what is true. We ask that they would hear and weigh all things fairly and with clear minds.

Above all we ask that God's justice, mercy, and provision would be evident in the outcome, according to His wise and loving will. May He sustain you with His grace in this season, strengthen you to continue in faith and patience, and supply what you need for daily life. We entrust you to His care, trusting that He hears those who call upon Him through His Son, and that He works all things for the good of those who love Him.

We will continue to pray for you. May the Lord grant you confidence in His mercy and bring about what is right and good in His sight. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, Amen.

Thank you for sharing this need and allowing us to pray with you about your disability hearing. I have been praying that God will show His mercy, grace and provision to you in a clear way through this process.

When we come to God we do not come asking for justice, because justice is getting what we deserve. We come asking for mercy, which is not getting what we deserve, and for grace, which is getting good that we do not deserve, and for peace that comes from knowing we are right with Him. Scripture reminds us that God is sovereign in showing mercy. He said to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. Mercy is not owed to us, it is His loving favor, and we can be grateful that He delights to show it. At times He even puts the desire to intercede on the hearts of His people because He is looking for the opportunity to be merciful.

That mercy and truth meet together perfectly in Jesus Christ. On our own, mercy would seem to violate justice, because justice demands a penalty for sin. But in Christ, truth and justice were satisfied when He paid the penalty for us, so that God can be both just and merciful to us. Through Him we can have righteousness and peace with God, and we can come confidently to ask for His help in practical needs.

I am praying specifically that every medical record, report and document needed for your case will be released without hindrance or delay, and that there will be no confusion or missing information. I am praying for the judge and for everyone involved in the hearing, that God would grant them clarity, understanding and impartial judgment, to weigh what is before them fairly and carefully. Human justice at its best seeks to be impartial and not to show favoritism, but true justice joined with mercy is found only in God, and we ask Him to make His justice and mercy evident in the outcome.

I am also praying that you will experience His provision and His peace through this time, whatever the decision. His mercy endures forever, and those who have been redeemed can testify to His goodness even in difficult circumstances. When we cry out to Him in distress, He hears, and He forgives, delivers and helps according to His perfect wisdom.

Continue to seek Him in His Word, because faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. As you hear who He is, you will grow in trust that He cares for you and will do what is right.

Father, I lift up this dear one to You and ask for Your mercy and grace over this hearing. Let every needed record be made available. Give clarity to the judge and to all who review this case. Let Your justice, mercy and provision be evident, and grant peace and trust in Your goodness and in the finished work of Jesus Christ, in whose name we pray, amen.
