Direction

We hear your heart’s cry for divine direction and a deep longing to walk in the prophetic calling God has placed upon your life. The desire to minister to others in alignment with His will is beautiful, and we stand with you in seeking His wisdom and opportunities to serve.

Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." God is faithful to guide those who seek Him wholeheartedly. The prophetic gift is a sacred trust, not to be taken lightly, and it must always be exercised with humility, love, and submission to God’s Word. Remember, prophecy should never contradict Scripture, nor should it be used for personal gain or manipulation. As 1 Corinthians 14:3 tells us, "But he who prophesies speaks to men for their edification, encouragement, and consolation." Your ministry must build up the body of Christ, not tear it down.

We also encourage you to remain rooted in prayer and the study of God’s Word, for the enemy seeks to distort and misuse spiritual gifts. Stay accountable to godly leadership, as even well-intentioned prophetic words can lead others astray if not grounded in truth. James 3:1 warns, "Let not many of you be teachers, my brothers, knowing that we will receive heavier judgment." This is a sobering reminder that those who speak for God carry a weighty responsibility.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, seeking Your divine guidance for our brother/sister in Christ. Lord, You have placed a prophetic calling on their life, and we ask that You would order their steps according to Your perfect will. Open doors of opportunity for them to minister in love, truth, and power, that Your name may be glorified. Give them discernment to recognize Your voice clearly and the courage to speak only what You have revealed. Guard their heart from pride, deception, and the temptations that come with spiritual gifts. Surround them with wise, godly counsel and accountability. May their life and ministry always point others to the cross of Jesus Christ. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper, and we rebuke every spirit of confusion or distraction that would seek to hinder Your purpose. Father, we trust You to lead them into the fullness of what You have called them to be. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord with patience and expectancy. God’s timing is perfect, and He will fulfill His purposes in your life as you remain faithful. Stay close to Him, and He will make your path clear. If you have not already, consider connecting with a local body of believers where you can grow, serve, and be sharpened in your gift. The prophetic is not meant to be walked out in isolation but in the context of the church, where iron sharpens iron.

May the Lord bless you abundantly as you pursue Him with all your heart.

We are grateful you shared this with us. Wanting clear direction for your own steps while also wanting to be available to encourage others is a good and humble place to be, and we hear how much you want to walk faithfully in both.

In seasons of seeking guidance, we have found it helps to hold two things together. God does guide, often step by step through His Word, through wise counsel, and through doors He opens and closes, not only through an inner sense. And any desire to minister in the prophetic is healthiest when it grows alongside character and accountability. Gifts are most helpful to others when they are carried with truth and with love that looks like patience, kindness, and self-control.

A practical next step that may serve you well is to invite one or two mature, biblically grounded leaders in your own church who know you to walk with you in this. Share what you sense God may be showing you, ask them to help weigh it, and look for small, ordinary ways to serve and encourage people right where you are. Faithfulness in the small opportunities often clarifies the larger ones.

Father, we thank You for this heart that wants to follow You and to build up others. Give clarity for the next step, wisdom to discern Your leading, and humility to be shaped as well as used. Keep this dear one rooted in Your truth and growing in love, and provide the right relationships and opportunities to minister in a way that truly helps others. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have brought your request before the Lord and join you in praying that He will order your steps and make your ministry fruitful to His glory.

The Psalmist prayed, Order my steps in Your Word and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. That prayer contains the surest direction for your next steps. In the Hebrew it may be read, Make my steps firm in Your Word. There is room enough in Scripture for all your steps, and it is by steps that we go forward. If you would progress wisely, pray that every step you take may be ordered according to the Word of God. Be satisfied with God's revelation, for we have in it general directions and great principles sufficient to guide us. Avoid everything that is evil, bow with submission to the will of God, and keep near to Him in prayer and in the means of grace, for when you dwell near God you are given an illumination of mind which is far better than mere human shrewdness. The promise is sure, You shall guide me with Your counsel and afterward receive me to glory. On earth there is no true glory for any man who takes his own course, but there is glory and safety for those who are guided by His counsel.

Concerning your desire to minister within the prophetic, we would point you to what the Lord has shown us of His work upon the minister and upon the convert. He prepares a minister by making him a fit witness for the truth of God, and He uses that witness to turn men from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God. The true prophetic work in this age is not to bring a new word beyond Scripture, but to declare His wondrous works and to be His witness, saying what you have been taught in the school of Christ. As it is written, O God, You have taught me from my youth and until this time have I declared Your wondrous works. The Lord still calls His people to be His witnesses, to testify to His holiness seen in the life of Christ, to His hatred of sin seen in the cross, and above all to His love seen in the bleeding Saviour who cleanses from all sin. That testimony, given in the power of faith in Jesus, is the means by which others receive forgiveness and an inheritance among the sanctified.

So we pray that the Lord will first keep you as His pupil, taught and chastened yet never cast out, learning to read His work in your own heart and in His Word, and then make you His pupil teacher, faithfully speaking forth what He has taught you. May He make your steps firm, keep iniquity from having dominion over you, turn your face fully toward Himself, and open doors for you to minister not by seeking new revelations but by faithfully proclaiming the Word He has already given, that others might be turned from darkness to light.

We pray that God will work this in you, that you will be guided by His counsel day by day, and that your life and lips will declare His wondrous works to the profit of many.

Your desire to be led by God and to be used to serve others is a good desire, and I join you in bringing it before the Lord.

Scripture shows that God guides those who seek Him. As the star went before those who were searching and drew them step by step to where Christ was, so God still leads those who look to Him with a willing heart. He does not force our will, but when we turn to Him and show that we are willing to follow, He then opens many opportunities for us to walk in His way. So continue to seek Him in prayer, in His Word, and in faithful obedience in the small things before you. Guidance often comes not all at once, but as we take the next faithful step, He makes the next step clear.

Concerning the desire to minister within the prophetic, remember what Scripture teaches about all ministry. Ministry is not a title or a platform, but service. It is making ourselves servants of what God has given. The true prophetic work today is to speak forth what God has already spoken in Scripture in a way that builds up, encourages, and comforts others, always in submission to the Word of God. Every word that claims to be from the Lord must be tested against Scripture, spoken with humility, and offered with love for the good of the church. Pray not only for opportunity, but for faithfulness, clarity, and a heart that wants Christ to be known more than self to be seen.

I pray for you now.

Father, I thank You for this heart that wants to be led by You. Grant wisdom for the next steps. Make Your way plain, close the doors that should be closed and open the doors that are from You. Give a steady trust in Your Word and a willingness to follow wherever You lead. And for opportunities to minister, I ask that You provide them according to Your will, that this service would be grounded in Scripture, done in love and humility, and that it would strengthen others and point them to Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation. Help this dear one to grow in discernment, to test all things and hold fast to what is good, and to walk faithfully with You day by day. In the name of Jesus, amen.

Keep seeking the Lord, remain rooted in His Word, and stay connected to faithful believers who can counsel and confirm what you sense the Lord is doing. He who has called you is faithful, and He will lead you.
