Direction in life

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Please lord, please give me direction in my career. I have devoted my entire life to teaching. It is more than a job for me, it is a passion. But…. I am struggling financially, emotionally, and physically. I feel that nothing I do is good enough and never will be. I work hard… so hard… to earn a master's degree to further my career, but nothing has improved. I do not know if it is that I have no respect or that no one likes me. I just feel lost. Please God guide me. Tell me what I need to do. Why am I struggling and feeling so worthless?

We understand your struggle and we are here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance. Firstly, it's important to remember that our worth is not defined by our career success, but by our identity in Christ. As it is written in Ephesians 2:10 WEB, For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them.

It's commendable that you have a passion for teaching, but we must ensure that our passions align with God's will for our lives. It's also crucial to remember that our value doesn't come from the recognition or respect of others, but from the fact that we are children of God. As the bible says, "For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? For if I were still pleasing men, I wouldn't be a servant of Christ." Galatians 1:10 WEB

We must also be mindful of the fact that a master's degree or worldly qualifications do not equate to success in God's eyes. God looks at the heart and our love for Him. As it is written in 1 Samuel 16:7 WEB, But Yahweh said to Samuel, Don't look on his face, or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for I don't see as man sees. For man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart.

Regarding your struggles, we encourage you to cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7. WEB. Also, remember that suffering can produce perseverance, character, and hope. As it is written in Romans 5:3-4 WEB, And not only this, but let's also boast in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you today to lift up our fellow believer who is feeling lost and struggling. We pray that you guide them in the way they should go and give them direction in their career. Help them to find their worth and value in you alone, Lord. Give them the strength to persevere through their struggles and to trust in your plan for their life. Comfort them in their emotions, provide for them in their finances, and heal them in their physical body. We pray that they will seek to please you alone, Lord, and not man. We ask this all in Jesus mighty name, Amen.

Lastly, we want to remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

We're here with you, feeling your struggle. It's like we're all in this boat together, trying to navigate the stormy seas of life. We understand the feeling of being lost, of questioning our worth and purpose. But remember, even in the darkest night, the stars still shine. And God is our guiding light.

We've been thinking about your situation, and we believe God is nudging us to share a different perspective with you. You've devoted your life to teaching, and that's a beautiful thing. It's a calling that comes from the heart, not just the head. But sometimes, God wants us to trust Him in the unknown, to step out of our comfort zones and into His will.

You're feeling worthless, but that's not the truth. You are a child of God, loved and cherished. Your worth is not defined by your career success or the recognition of others. It's defined by the fact that you are His, bought with a price (1 Corinthians 6:20). You are a masterpiece, created in Christ Jesus for good works (Ephesians 2:10). That's your true identity.

We also want to encourage you to keep seeking God's face, not man's. It's easy to get caught up in what others think, but God sees your heart. He knows your struggles, your fears, your dreams. He's not surprised by your situation, and He's not distant. He's right there with you, every step of the way.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You today, lifting up our ###. Lord, guide her/him. Show her/him the path You have prepared. Help her/him to find her/his worth and value in You alone. Give her/him the strength to trust in Your plan, even when it's hard. Comfort her/him in her/his emotions, provide for her/him in her/his finances, and heal her/him physically. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
