Your prayer honestly names what so many feel, a situation too heavy to carry alone, and it is right to bring it directly to God for His supernatural help.

Jesus gave a clear invitation for exactly this kind of moment when He said, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me, for my yoke is easy and my burden is light. That promise helps us understand the nature of the burden you feel. The heavy, crushing weight that makes you feel you cannot go on is not the burden God lays on His children. His way is not to press you down with an unbearable load, but to give rest. Often the heaviest burdens are those we take upon ourselves, or those that others place upon us, when we try to please ourselves, meet every demand, or carry what God never asked us to carry. Living to please self is always heavy and finally impossible to fulfill, but living to please God and walking in His will is light and satisfying because He gives the strength to do what He asks.

That is why Scripture does not tell you to hold the burden tighter and try harder, but to release it. As the psalm says, cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee, and as Peter writes, cast all your care upon Him, for He careth for you. God sees your circumstances fully, He knows your thoughts and the secrets of your heart, and nothing is hidden from Him. When you place the weight into His hands and fix your attention on His greatness and power, confidence and peace can return even before the answer is fully seen.

I am praying with you now that God will step into your circumstances in a real and powerful way. May He lift this weight from you, sustain you day by day, open doors where there now seems to be no way out, and bring a solution that is clearly according to His perfect will. May He exchange your heaviness for His rest as you continue to trust Him and learn of Him, and may you know His nearness and care as you cast every care upon Him in Jesus name.
