Difficult situation

We join with you in bringing this heavy burden before the throne of grace, and we thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we find our help and hope. We hear the weight in your prayer and we want you to know that you are not alone, for our God invites us to bring everything to Him.
We are reminded that God does not expect us to carry such burdens by ourselves. Jesus says in Matthew 11:28, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. We are also told in 1 Peter 5:7 to cast all our worries on him, because he cares for us, and in Psalm 55:22 to cast our burden on Yahweh and he will sustain us, he will never allow the righteous to be moved. In Philippians 4:6-7 we are taught, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Even when we cannot see the solution, we can trust His promise in Romans 8:28 that we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose, and in Isaiah 41:10 where He says, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.
We pray together for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus we lift up this dear one to You and we ask for Your divine intervention in this difficult situation that feels too heavy to bear. Lord, You see every detail and You know the way through that we cannot see. We ask that You step into these circumstances with Your mighty power and Your tender mercy, ease this burden, calm the anxious heart, and grant wisdom and discernment for every decision that must be made. We pray for Your perfect will to be done and for a solution that brings glory to You and peace to this heart. Let Your presence be felt as a refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble as Psalm 46:1 declares. Fill this need with Your peace that surpasses all understanding and remind this one that Your grace is sufficient and Your strength is made perfect in weakness. We trust You to make a way where there seems to be no way and to sustain through each day until Your answer comes. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

Your cry under a heavy burden is one that the Lord delights to hear, for you have done well to carry it at once to the throne of grace rather than to bear it alone. There are seasons when the load of life presses so sorely that the soul feels it must sink, yet it is written that we should cast our burden upon the Lord and He shall sustain us.
Remember that as surely as God's will is the axle of the universe, so His will governs all your affairs. Nothing happens but what He permits or ordains, and all things are under regulation and have an appointed place in His plan. It is wisdom, therefore, when you say I will do this or that, to add in thought if not in words, If the Lord wills. No harm can come to you if you bow to His sovereign sway, for His perfect will is not only wise but gracious toward His children.
Our Lord Jesus has said, Come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest, and again His yoke is easy and His burden is light. Your own burden you must bear, and yet you are not left to bear it in your own strength. He who bore the heavier burden of sin upon the cross now invites you to bring your sorrow, your care, and your perplexity and lay it at His feet. There you may find that what was crushing becomes light because He learns you the knack of carrying it with Him.
Let us pray together. Almighty God, our heavenly Father, we bow before Thy sovereign will which is the great heart of providence. Thou knowest this burden which is too heavy for Thy servant alone. Jesus Himself invites those who labor and are heavy laden to come to Him, promising that His yoke is easy and His burden is light and that those who come will find rest for their souls. The burdens that sin and anxiety lay on us are truly heavy, like a weight that presses down, but Christ offers a different way, a way of meekness and lowliness of heart that brings peace even when circumstances remain difficult.
I pray for you now that God in His providence will step into your circumstances as you have asked. Scripture gives a clear promise for this kind of weariness. Jesus said, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for my yoke is easy and my burden is light. That truth helps us understand burdens rightly. God does not lay a crushing load on His children that drives them to despair or makes them unable to function in daily life. His way is not to press you down until you break, but to lift you up and sustain you.
Much of the heaviness we feel does not actually come from the Lord. We often take on burdens ourselves by trying to please ourselves, by striving to meet expectations that God never placed on us, or by carrying pressures that other people put on us. Living to please self is a heavy and restless burden that can never be satisfied. Living to please the Father, doing His will and walking with Him, is light and brings rest to the soul. That was the pattern of Jesus Himself, whose great joy was to do the will of Him who sent Him, and to finish the work given to Him.
So when the load feels intolerable, it is good to pause and ask, is this truly what God is asking me to carry, or is it something I have added? If it is straining you beyond what you can bear, you can be confident it is not His yoke. His burden is light, and what He gives, He also gives grace to carry.
What He does invite you to do is found in another promise: Cast your burden upon the Lord, and He will sustain you. You do not have to fix this alone or hold it all together in your own strength. You can place the whole situation into His hands in faith, trusting that having placed it there, He will help you, strengthen you, and work according to His perfect will.
I am praying for you now, that God will step into your circumstances with His presence and power, that He will ease the pressure on your heart and mind, grant you wisdom for each next step, and bring a solution that reflects His goodness and His will. May you experience His rest even while you wait, knowing that He has not forsaken you, that He sustains those who trust Him, and that He will bring you through this in a way that draws you closer to Himself.
