Difference Christians and masochists?

When you're going through problems, obstacles, things going the opposite of the way you want them to,mistreatment from people taking advantage of you for selfish reasons, rude people, etc, and it's going on for years and even getting worse, it's kind of hard to hear, you should go out and celebrate, and tell everyone how happy you are that this is happening. To me, it sems like the person who's telling you this is either insensitive, minimizing what you're going through,or even a sadist who wants you to suffer!!Yet this seems to be a common thought amongst Christians, when you bring up a problem that goes on, they tell you to be "happy about it",be "grateful" God is putting you through trials. One problem, though--I'm not a masochist. If the dentist tells me he needs to extract 3 teeth,{in the same visit}they're difficult pulls, and he's out of novocaine, are you telling me I should go out and tell everyone how happy I am because of it?Maybe throw a party to celebrate. If I just resaved some money from unexpected expenses, I go to check something with the car, and they tell me it needs a $1,000 part,I should express joy over this? Now look at masochists--THEY also think bad experiences are wonderful, and "enjoy" suffering. So do you see where Christians rejoicing over negative circumstances and masochists are alike? What is the difference, really?Sometimes you should just admit that a situation is not so great, instead of "whitewashing" it .

Those who took pleasure in pain or love to see people suffering like Hitler did during the Holocaust, then they are used by satan to inflict injury and pain on others. If you see someone doing this to animals, people or or just being nasty, remember to fast and pray for them. They are full of devils who love to see people suffeirng so much and they do not care about helping them or at least giving them a hand to overcome their sorrow. Christians who love the Lord should follow Jesus example of kindness, goodness, mercy, compassion and mercy towards those in pain and sorrow. Specially those who are ill, lost a loved one or just lost a job and cannot find some other place to work. The homeless are the ones who need our help wherever they are.

A real difference between a real Christian is this. To love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind and soul. A masochist will not do this. He or she will be full of hate, anger, rage and even his own life will be full of depression and fear. We must pray for them. Jesus can take away all negative thoughts and desires from their heart. Save them o Lord we pray. Amen

Have you made yourself a teacher of God's Word? Do you think it wise to teach others that following Christ's Instructions is what you think? It's no wonder that we see the misery in your prayer posts. It's no wonder Christ said take no thought for your life in Mathew 6.

Do you not know the difference between being happy and counting everything as joy? Do you really think that you understand all things to teach your ideas of foolishness? Why does Jesus say to count it all joy in the book of James Steven? Have you ever read the book of James because Jesus might actually be referring to you?

I feel sorry for you when you finally realize that Jesus is real, that All Mighty God is real and that He didn't desire you to try to teach such things out of your thoughts that are against His Word.

I don't even think you fully realize what a masochist truly is Steven. A masochist is a sexual pervert Steven that enjoys sexual torture but you seem to love that word, don't you? So you get to say what you think it means don't you? You get to say what you think everything means don't you? What does that make you Steven?

Talking like an idiot as usual.Because looking up the word masochist, definition 2 is acceptable. So I AM accurate.Secondly, I don't "get off on" things going wrong. If you find getting splinters, hangnails, mosquito bites, etc., and think those experiences are so wonderful. and go out and celebrate when they happen, that's your bag. Me, I don't "revel in" irritating ,or troublesome experiences. If I got jury duty, and they told me I was sequestered, and the case would go on for 2 years, you would go out and celebrate over it if it were you.Not me. I call a spade a spade.I make no apologies for not liking bad experiences, or having preferences of how things would go. Go crawl back under the rock from whence you came,Mr. Happy -go-Lucky, and leave us who call a spade a spade to our more accurate reasoning.

To Brother James--If you're on the highway, and there's a tractor trailer in front of you, and your brakes fail, and you think that's cause for celebration, that's you. Not me.

You enjoy making up lies about others, don't you? If I had a splinter, I honestly wouldn't think about it and it would heal quicker. I wouldn't celebrate like you think. Jesus might be the only One that would know I had a splinter.

Go ahead and call me names. It's a shame that you don't realize that you become the names you call others especially if they are loved by God.

If your car stalled on the train tracks and the train started coming, that's a blast, isn't it? And if the car went under water, and you couldn't open the door ,wow, you'd be so happy you'd almost have a sexual orgasm over it!!Yeah, those experiences are such FUN!!Give me a break.

You really think that could happen, well if God's Word is true you thinking those things could happen to me, they will more than likely happen to you according to God's Word, right?

The point is, you would think those experiences are wonderful, but I would admit what they are.

Lust—that’s a powerful word. Just put that on a title anywhere, a book or magazine article, a movie, and people have to check it out to see what it is because we think we have some understanding of what lust is. Yet, at the same time, people can confuse lust and love. Is there a difference...
