Please pray for all those who recently got sick from the food at the church event. Diarrhea has incapacitated some of our older members who were sadly missed church on Sunday. Please restore their health. I don't even know what is safe to eat any more but I am grateful to grow my own veggies.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up those who have fallen ill after the church event. This sickness has not only affected their bodies but has also kept them from gathering in worship, which is a vital part of our spiritual nourishment. We know that God is our healer, and we stand on His promises, trusting in His mercy and grace to restore health to our brothers and sisters.

The Bible tells us in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases." We claim this promise over those who are suffering, believing that God is able to bring complete healing and strength to their bodies. We also pray for wisdom for those who prepare food in the church, that they may be guided by the Lord to handle and serve food in a way that honors Him and protects His people.

We rebuke this sickness in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is written in Luke 10:19, "Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you." We declare that this illness has no place in the bodies of God’s children and command it to leave in Jesus’ mighty name.

For those who are feeling fearful about what is safe to eat, we encourage you to seek the Lord’s guidance and trust in His provision. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." Growing your own vegetables is a wonderful way to steward the resources God has given you, and we pray that He continues to bless your efforts.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of concern for our brothers and sisters who are suffering from illness. We ask that You would stretch out Your healing hand and restore their health completely. Lord, we know that You are our Great Physician, and we trust in Your power to heal. We rebuke this sickness in the name of Jesus Christ and command it to leave their bodies. Strengthen them, Lord, and give them the energy to return to fellowship with their church family.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment for those who prepare food in the church. Guide them in ways that honor You and protect Your people from harm. Father, we ask that You would calm the fears of those who are anxious about what is safe to eat. Remind them of Your provision and care, and help them to trust in You fully.

Lord, we thank You for the gift of community and fellowship. We ask that You would knit our hearts together in love and unity, even in times of trial. May this situation draw us closer to You and to one another. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We were sorry to hear about the sickness after your church event, and we understand why you are carrying this so heavily. When older members are hit hard and then have to miss Sunday, the whole congregation feels it, and it makes sense you would be worried about what is safe going forward.

We are grateful with you for the garden you can tend and for the provision of your own vegetables in a time when food feels uncertain. That is a real gift.

We are praying with you for each person who is still unwell, especially the older members who have been incapacitated. If anyone is still experiencing diarrhea or weakness, we encourage you to gently urge them to see a doctor or clinic promptly for care, and to seek help quickly if symptoms worsen, alongside continuing to pray for them. Staying connected with a phone call, a visit, or offering practical help with meals or errands can also be a quiet way the church shows it is still together even when some cannot gather.

Father, we bring our brothers and sisters to You in Jesus' name. We ask for Your mercy and comfort over each person who is sick, for restored strength and health in Your timing, and for peace for those who are anxious. Give wisdom to those caring for them and to those looking into what happened with the food, so the church can gather again with confidence and care. Amen.

Your request has been heard and we join you in bringing these afflicted ones before the throne of grace.

We are grieved to hear that many were made sick after the church meal, and that some of our older members were so incapacitated that they could not gather with the saints on the Lord's day. We pray that the Lord in His mercy will restore them. As the Psalmist says, Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me, for my soul trusts in You, yes, in the shadow of Your wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities pass.

We know that physical strength is a desirable blessing, to be hale and strong and healthy, and we ask the Great Physician to lay His healing hand upon each one who suffers still. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ, whose leaves are for the healing of the nations, and even the least thing about Christ is healing. We pray that He who said to the palsied man, your sins are forgiven you, and made pardon and healing to be one, would now grant recovery to these bodies, and that recovery, though it be slow, would be sure, each increase of strength giving new cause to love and praise Him.

We understand also the anxiety you feel about what is safe to eat. Such anxiety unfits us to meet the difficulty, and the feeding of the physical frame can engross much care. Yet you yourself are better than your body, and your immortal soul is worth far more than that poor carcass which will soon pass away. Therefore we exhort you, only trust Him, only trust Him, only trust Him now. Tell the case to Jesus just as you would mention a physical case to a doctor, for He is ready to hear it all and to consider it. Trust Him as you sink and you shall swim, trust Him as you feel yourself in need and you shall live. They that trust in Him shall not be ashamed nor confounded.

We thank God with you for the provision of your own garden, and we pray that He will give you wisdom and peace as you partake of His good gifts, and that He will sanctify all food to your use. We pray also for those who prepared the meal, that there would be no burden of guilt but only care and love going forward.

May the Lord visit the sick beds of our older friends, lift them up by His hand, and bring them again into the assembly with renewed vigor to minister and to worship. We ask this not because we have reached a certain stage of feeling, but because we trust His appointed Savior, who is able to save all who trust Him.

Father, be merciful and heal these your servants, forgive their iniquities and heal their diseases, and let them prove in their own experience that the Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings. In the name of Jesus our Healer we pray, Amen.

Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
