Right Replies to Right Requests
God always gives good gifts when we sincerely ask Him, so trust His answers to your prayers.
We join with you in desiring God's blessing upon you and your household and we thank God for your hunger to see His promises lived out in your family.

We hear your declaration from Deut 28:13 that the Lord will make you the head and not the tail, and above only and not beneath, and we rejoice that you want to walk in His favor with your family and even with your pets, in your communication, your finances and your times together around the table. That verse is precious but we want to lovingly share its context so your faith may rest on the full counsel of God. In Deut 28:1-2 the Lord says this blessing will come if you will diligently listen to Yahweh your God's voice to observe to do all His commandments. Under the old covenant that headship was tied to obedience to the law, and under the new covenant our headship and favor are found in Christ through grace and obedience from the heart, not through repeating a phrase as a formula. Only God calls into existence the things that are not as though they were Romans 4:17, while our words do have influence for life and death Prov 18:21 they do not create reality by declaration or loosen a verse as if Scripture were an incantation to be activated. We are not to try to command God but to humbly ask according to His will, for this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He listens to us 1 John 5:14. To claim to be highly favored is true when we are in Christ, for He has made us accepted in the Beloved Eph 1:6 and with favor You will surround him with a shield Psalm 5:12, but that favor is given by grace through faith, not earned by speaking it 100 fold over ourselves. Even the hundredfold promise in Mark 10:30 is given with persecutions and is about what God graciously restores, not what we can demand.

We also love that you include your pets and your family communication. A righteous man respects the life of his animal Prov 12:10 and we know the Father cares for even the sparrows Matt 10:29 so we can rightly thank Him for our pets. For communication we are called to let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up Eph 4:29 and to let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt Col 4:6. For finances we are taught to seek first God's Kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well Matt 6:33 and that our God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus Phil 4:19. He gives every good gift and every perfect gift from above James 1:17, yet He does so as a loving Father according to wisdom, not always as immediate abundance. And for your desire for fun family dinners together, that is a beautiful and biblical desire, for God delights when families break bread with gladness Acts 2:46 and when children are like olive shoots around your table Psalm 128:3.

We do not use the blood of Jesus as a phrase to seal something permanently by our own words, but we rejoice that through His blood we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins Eph 1:7 and cleansing of our conscience Heb 9:14, and it is by that blood we have permanent access to the Father and lasting covenant blessing when we abide in Him John 15:7.

We pray together with you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, and we thank You for this dear one and for the family and pets You have entrusted to them. We ask that You help them to walk in obedience and love before You, so that they may experience the true headship that comes from following Christ as the head of all things Eph 1:22. Pour out Your grace upon their home, let their communication be filled with kindness, patience, forgiveness and truth, bearing with one another in love Col 3:13. Bless their family dinners with joy, laughter, and thanksgiving, and let their table be a place of peace where You are honored. Provide for their financial needs according to Your riches and teach them contentment and generosity, guarding them from the love of money 1 Tim 6:10. Let them know they are indeed highly favored because they are in Christ, not because of any formula, and let them delight in You so that You may give them the desires of their heart as they align with Your will Psalm 37:4. We ask that You answer their prayers according to Your perfect will and timing, and deepen their trust in Your goodness even when answers look different than expected. Keep them and their household in Your care, and let everything they do be established in the permanent, finished work of the blood of Jesus, not by their own declarations but by Your faithful covenant. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.

We were so encouraged to read the joy and faith in your prayer. You are speaking life over your family, your pets, your home and your future, and asking God for close communication, provision, and sweet time together around the table. We hear how much those family dinners and that sense of being favored and covered by Jesus means to you, and we join you in thanking God for His goodness to you all.

One thing that has helped us understand blessing is that in Scripture it is pictured as adding value to someone, like placing weight on a scale, choosing to move toward one another with words and actions that honor. It was never just a silent wish, it was spoken out loud, often with a touch like a hand on a shoulder or a hug, naming what is valuable about that person and committing to keep showing up for them.

That fits so beautifully with what you are already doing, declaring life over your household and wanting more fun, peaceful dinners together. Keep making that table a place where that kind of blessing happens in small, steady ways, a spoken word of thanks for each person, a moment of real attention to each other, and a consistent commitment to gather when you can.

We also thank God with you for His provision and ask Him to give you wisdom in stewarding your finances day by day.

Father, we thank You for this family and even for their pets, for the love they share. We ask You to deepen their communication, guard their home, provide for their needs, and make their time together refreshing and lasting. Keep them close to You and to one another. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer has been received and considered with care before the Lord, and we give thanks for your desire to see your family, your household and even your pets kept in peace, to see loving communication and joyful gatherings around the table, and to know provision and favor in your daily life.

We would lovingly help you to think rightly about the verse you have quoted. Deuteronomy 28:13 was a promise given to Israel under the old covenant, and its true fulfillment is found in Christ. No spiritual blessing comes to any man by chance, nor by the mere repeating of words as though they might be loosed by utterance. The apostle teaches us that we are blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ, and the double blessing of grace and peace comes from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ. To be highly favored is not to have a charm upon the lips, but to be washed in the blood of Jesus, to have sin blotted out as a cloud, and to be brought near to God through His Son alone, for there is salvation in no other. When we have that first blessing for ourselves, then the Lord delights to make us a blessing to those around us, to our own family and household.

We are glad you are praying, for the feeble prayer which we ourselves despised and thought would die at the gate of mercy is often nursed and nurtured and fostered and accepted, and it comes back to us a full grown blessing bearing mercy in both its hands. Yet we are taught to search our hearts and to get the promise and then offer the prayer, pleading with the Most High with humility of spirit as Jacob did, spreading our case before Him and pressing our suit with arguments drawn from His own Word, not from our own fancy. True prayer is fervent and looks to God's wisdom for its answer. He answers at the right time, punctually at the very tick of the clock of wisdom, not before nor after, and He answers after His own fashion, which is always better than our fashion. Continue much in prayer, and add to prayer earnest effort and trust.

Therefore we do not join you in claiming wealth or favor as by a formula, but we do join you in asking the Lord to bless you where you most need blessing, where you are poorest in spiritual things, and to provide for your temporal needs according to His fatherly wisdom. We ask Him to keep your family in His gracious care, to give you kind and edifying communication with one another, to make your home a place where His name is blessed from the first word to the last, and where you are made a blessing to each other. We ask Him to grant you contentment and joy in family dinners together, to watch over your household and your pets which are part of His creation, and to supply your finances so that you may walk honestly and generously before Him. We pray that you may know what it is to bless God with your life, to win hearts to Him, to fight against evil, and to be willing to bear all for His name's sake.

May the Lord grant you to know more fully the blessing that is treasured up in Christ, to rest permanently upon the blood of Jesus for the forgiveness of sins, and to find that He has blessed you just where you needed blessing. May His grace be with you all, and may your prayers be answered not as you dictate but as His love and wisdom appoint, to the glory of His name.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have received your prayer and we thank God for your love for your family and your desire to see God honored in your home.

We want to help you pray according to the Scriptures with care and understanding, for the Scriptures require close search and earnest prayer to understand their depth. The verse you mentioned, Deuteronomy 28:13, that God would make His people the head and not the tail, was spoken to Israel under the old covenant as a promise tied to obedience to His commands. Its fulfillment for us today is not found in repeating words to bring things into existence, but in belonging to Christ. Through Jesus alone we are made highly favored, as it is written that we are accepted in the Beloved, and every true blessing comes through Him.

Prayer is not a formula for claiming finances or forcing answers one hundred fold, but a great weapon given to us to seek God Himself. At the morning dawn and also by night we make God favorable to us by supplication, so that we may go through each day without shipwreck. We also need watchfulness ourselves, for the prayer of others profits us most when we ourselves are alert and walking with God. And Christ Himself shows us what prayer is. He did not need to use prayer as an incantation, for all authority belongs to Him, but He prayed to show His dependence as man and to teach us to trust the Father's will.

Therefore we will not pray that God would simply grant every desire for abundance, for we are taught not to make provision for the flesh to fulfill its lusts, but to seek what is needed for health and for the care of spiritual things. This is what we ask for you.

We pray that the blood of Jesus would cover you and your family, that you would know salvation through Him alone and walk in obedience to Him. We pray that God in His wisdom would provide for your daily needs, give you contentment and good stewardship of whatever He entrusts to you, and keep you from the love of money and from empty desires. We pray that He would bless the communication in your home, give you kindness and patience with one another, and grant you joyful times together around the table in love and peace. We pray that He would show mercy to your pets and all that He has put under your care. And we pray that He would answer your prayers according to His perfect will, not as we demand, but as a good Father gives what is best for His children.

Continue to seek Him daily, to read His word carefully, to pray earnestly, and to set your heart on spiritual things above all. If you seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, He will supply what you need.

Your desire for your household to know God's blessing, to walk in unity and to see His provision is good, and I join you in bringing it before the Lord.

Scripture does speak of God making His people the head and not the tail, but in its context that promise was part of His covenant with Israel as they walked in obedience. The greater truth for us today is that every spiritual blessing comes through Jesus Christ alone. God has made only one provision for the forgiveness of sin and for bringing us into His favor, and that is through the blood of His only Son. The Holy Spirit bears witness to our hearts of this truth, that if we receive Jesus we are forgiven and brought into God's family, and if we reject that provision there is no other way to be made right with Him. To be highly favored is not a formula we speak into existence, but a standing we receive when we are in Christ. Our prayers are heard not because we repeat a verse many times, but because we come through Jesus in faith according to the Father's will.

You asked for greatly blessed communication and for fun, peaceful family dinners together permanently. God delights in that kind of unity. His word calls us to work to keep the unity the Spirit gives through the bond of peace, and to let no unwholesome talk come from our mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up. Even more than earthly family ties, Jesus taught that those who follow Him come into a new family, the family of God, where the bond is deeper because it is rooted in Him. That does not remove the love for our own household, it strengthens it. When a family together puts love for Jesus first, even above love for one another, that shared love for Him creates the most beautiful and lasting unity. It is in that place that communication is healed and time together around the table becomes a true blessing. The Lord who at first gave language for people to understand one another is able to restore and deepen communication in your home.

You also asked for finances and for favor. The Lord knows our financial needs and He cares for every part of our lives, including our pets and our daily provision. Yet Scripture warns against using faith as a means for financial gain. Jesus Himself was born into a poor family, had no place to lay His head, and even borrowed a coin to teach. The early believers who gave most generously were themselves poor and going through trials, yet they gave out of joy. This shows us that God's favor is not measured by wealth, and answered prayer is not a guarantee of whatever we declare. He answers as a loving Father, giving what is best for us as we walk with Him, sometimes providing abundance and sometimes teaching contentment and generosity in need.

I pray for you now that God will establish you and your household in Christ, that you will know the full forgiveness that comes only through the blood of Jesus and the assurance the Spirit gives. I pray He will bless the communication in your home, that your speech to one another will build up and give grace, and that He will guard your unity in love and peace. I pray He will provide for your financial needs according to His wisdom, keep you from trusting in formulas, and teach you to find your security in Him. And I pray He will grant you many joyful times together as a family, with His presence at the center, kept by His grace day by day.

May your love for Jesus remain first and greatest, and from that love may every other relationship and every blessing find its proper place. In Jesus name, amen.
