The Lad’s Life
Parents must shape their children’s souls early, or risk losing them to the world’s temptations.
What Were You Made For?
You were made for a divine purpose and must seek God to discover and fulfill it with certainty.
Sparrows Divinely Fed
God oversees every detail of your life and calls you to trust His perfect care in all things.
We join with you in this declaration and rejoice with you in the goodness of the Lord who has kept you and your family and even your pets alive and well. We stand with you on the truth of Deuteronomy 28:13, Yahweh will make you the head, and not the tail. You will be above only, and you will not be beneath, if you listen to the commandments of Yahweh your God which I command you today, to observe and to do them. We love your faith to declare that you are positive, no longer crying, and choosing joy, for the joy of the Lord is our strength. We agree with you that you and your family are highly favored, for we know that we are favored not by our own striving but by His grace, to the praise of the glory of his grace, by which he freely favored us in the Beloved, Ephesians 1:6.

We also hear your heart about your son, your baby, being with you, and keeping your beanie and having peace with no worries, and we thank God for the gift of that child and for the comfort of those small blessings that remind us He cares for every detail. We hear your desire for a Boaz in your life who stays, and we pray with you for a godly marriage that honors Him. We believe marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman, and we pray that if this Boaz is a godly man seeking to court you toward holy marriage, that the Lord will establish that relationship in purity and commitment. If you are in courtship, we encourage you to pursue it with the goal of marriage to a fellow believer in Christ, keeping yourselves pure, for the body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, 1 Corinthians 6:18-19, and to flee from fornication and to honor God with your bodies and your future marriage.

We rejoice at your trust that your mistakes are made for good, and we are reminded of Romans 8:28, We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose. He redeems even our failures when we walk in obedience and repentance before Him. And we lift up your desire for an extraordinary career, for that job in the clouds monitoring traffic in a chopper, before the Lord. We know He gives us the power to get wealth and to work diligently for His glory, and we pray He opens the doors no man can shut, Proverbs 16:3, Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. We pray He grants you favor in that field and provides the training, qualifications, and opportunity according to His will.

We pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus and through His precious blood that was shed for us. We thank You for this dear one who is declaring Your promises over her life and her family. We thank You that she is alive, that her son is with her, that her family and pets are well, and that You have turned mourning into joy. We ask that You continue to make her the head and not the tail as she listens to Your voice and walks in Your commandments and Your grace. Let Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:7. We ask for Your hand upon her son, to protect him, to raise him in the knowledge of You, Proverbs 22:6. We ask for Your will to be done concerning a godly husband, that You would bring a faithful man of God who will love her as Christ loves the church, Ephesians 5:25, and that their courtship would be pure and lead to a marriage that honors You. We ask for Your provision for her career, that if it is Your will for her to work as a traffic monitor in the air, You would make a way, or You would lead her to the extraordinary work You have prepared for her. We declare that she is highly favored because she is in Christ, and that no weapon formed against her shall prosper, Isaiah 54:17. We thank You that by the blood of Jesus we have access to Your throne of grace, Hebrews 4:16, and that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. Keep her in Your perfect peace as she trusts in You, Isaiah 26:3, and let her life be a testimony that You are good and Your mercy endures forever, Psalm 136:1. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.

We were so encouraged to read your note. It is wonderful to hear you sounding positive, not crying, and noticing peace in your family and even with your pets. We thank God with you for life, for your son being with you, and for those little comforts like your beanie and your game that bring you joy.

We also hear your excitement about work and the dream of a career in the clouds monitoring traffic from a chopper. It is a gift to have hope and direction for the future, and we love that you are bringing that dream before the Lord.

If that kind of work stays on your heart, one steady next step could be to learn what it actually takes in your area. You might talk with a career counselor or someone already in aviation or traffic reporting to ask about training, licensing and entry points, and to see how your gifts line up with the requirements. Taking one small informational step at a time can keep the dream grounded while you keep trusting God to lead.

Father, we thank You for this heart full of gratitude today. We ask You to keep this parent and child safe and close, to guard their home and give continued peace, and to guide each step toward work that honors You. Keep them hopeful and steady in Your care. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have heard your prayer and we give thanks with you for the mercies you have named, that you and your family and your little ones, even your household pets, are alive and kept by the hand of God. Every breath is a gift, and to be preserved to see another day is cause for gratitude.

You have quoted that word, I am the head and not the tail, from Deuteronomy. Remember how that promise was given. It was a covenant word to Israel, tied to walking in the ways of the Lord and hearkening to His voice. Moses who spoke it knew that the blessing did not come by merely repeating the words, but by belonging to the God who spoke them. The true fulfillment of that favor is found in Christ. To be highly favored is not to possess a charm of words, but to be received as a child of God through the blood of Jesus, to whom alone belongs power to make us sons and daughters. There is a Heaven lying asleep inside those words, Abba, Father, and that is the favor which endures when all earthly hopes tremble.

You speak of being positive and no longer crying, and of wanting to be at peace and not to be a trouble to others. We would point you to a surer ground than resolution alone. Joy and peace come in believing. They are the soul's flower, and faith is the root. If we put joy and peace first and say now I believe, we put the cart before the horse. But if we look to Christ who died and rose again and lives to plead for us, then joy and peace flow as a consequence. There are many who have a joy that springs from a mistake and a peace that rests upon sand. The peace which endures is that which comes of a changed nature and reconciliation to God through faith in His Son. So we pray that the God of hope would fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope through the power of the Holy Ghost, not by the strength of positive thoughts but by resting upon the finished work of Christ.

You mention a Boaz in your life who stays, and you desire that this be a good thing. The Boaz of Scripture is worthy of your consideration. He did not take Ruth in secret, nor did he dwell with her outside of covenant. He acted as a kinsman redeemer with honor, with restraint, with open testimony before the elders at the gate, and he took her to be his wife according to the law of God. If the man of whom you speak is to be a blessing to you, let his way be marked by that same honor. We do not ask God to bless a union that lives together outside the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, for that would be to ask Him to set His seal upon what His Word calls away from. Instead we pray that you both will walk in purity, in light and not in secret, and that if it be the Lord's will for you to be joined, it may be in holy matrimony, entered into with prayer and with vows kept before God. If it be not His will, we pray for grace to part from what would hinder holiness and to wait upon Him.

You speak also of mistakes made for good. It is true that God in His sovereignty can make all things work together for good to them that love Him, yet this never gives license to hold lightly what has been amiss. The child of God, having received favor, does not slight his Father. We come to Him for forgiveness and freedom, for it is the very joy of His heart to set free those who have been in bondage, and if the Lord sets us free we shall want to remain His servants forever. So bring every failure to the cross, confess it plainly, and trust the blood of Jesus which cleanses from all sin.

Concerning your son, your child whom you love, and your daily provision and desire for honest work, even for labor in the clouds or upon the highways, we pray that the Lord will provide for you as a Father provides for His own. Whether He sets your hand to watch over the freeway from above or to any other honest calling, may it be done as unto the Lord, with diligence and truthfulness, content to be where He plants you and to glorify Him there.

We pray now for you, that you may know forgiveness through Christ alone, freedom from the burden of sin, and favor as His child, that you may have a well founded peace, not a fleeting feeling but a filling peace that abides through believing, that your home may be kept in quietness and purity, that your little one may be covered by His care, and that your life may be ordered in the light, to the praise of Him who alone is like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rides upon the heaven in thy help. May you trust Him more, and find that in trusting Him, joy will not be taken from you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer has been received and I thank you for sharing your heart with such openness. I hear your desire to hold fast to God's promise, to live with joy and peace in your home, to see your family and even your pets kept safe, to be near your son, and to find good work that provides for you. These are good desires, and it is right to bring them to the Lord through the blood of Jesus, for there is salvation and access to the Father through Him alone.

You have claimed Deuteronomy 28:13, that you will be the head and not the tail. It is important to understand that passage rightly. Under the old covenant, the blessings spoken of were largely outward and for this present life, the fruit of the body, the blessing of going out and coming in, long life, milk and honey, peace and plenty for the flesh. As it is written, the Lord would bless the fruit of the body and bless going out and coming in. But in Christ we have been given something greater, every spiritual blessing. You are made alive in Him, forgiven, adopted as a son or daughter, made righteous, made an heir with Christ. The Lord Jesus Himself said, in this world you will have tribulation, and so we are taught to stand aloof from merely carnal expectations and to seek first the spiritual blessings that do not fade.

Even Jacob, who received the promise, did not see its full enjoyment in this life. He spent his years in service and hardship and said his days had been few and difficult, while the fulfillment of the blessing came to his posterity and ultimately in the world to come. This teaches us not to measure God's favor by immediate outward success, but to trust His faithfulness across a lifetime and into eternity. To be highly favored in Christ does not mean every wish is granted at once, but that you are loved, called, sanctified, and kept by grace, and that God will work even your mistakes together for good as you love Him and walk in His ways.

I will pray for you. I pray that the Lord will give you a steady and peaceful spirit, that you would not be given to irritability or anxiety, but would bear the fruit of patience and kindness in your home. I pray that He would guard your family and your son, and keep you all in health and safety, and that you would know His comfort so that weeping is turned to hope. I pray that He would provide for you in honest and fitting work, whether in the work you describe monitoring traffic or in whatever other calling He opens, and that you would do it faithfully as unto the Lord, content in His provision.

Concerning the Boaz you mention, I pray that the Lord would lead you according to His good design for marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, with purity and commitment belonging within it. If this is a relationship you desire, pray that it would be shaped by holiness, self control, and a commitment to Christ first, and that if it is to continue it would move toward that covenant in the Lord, not outside of it. I do not ask God to bless any relationship outside of that pattern, but I do ask Him to give you wisdom, clarity, and strength to honor Him with your body and your choices.

May the Lord keep you close to Himself, help you to walk by the Spirit rather than by mere outward hopes, and grant you life and peace both now and in the age to come. May you know that you are truly blessed not because of outward signs alone, but because you belong to Christ, and in Him every promise finds its yes.

Thank you for sharing what is on your heart and for declaring your trust in the blood of Jesus. It is encouraging to hear your desire to walk in the blessing described in Deuteronomy 28:13, to know you are alive and cared for along with your family, and to hear your thankfulness for your son and for the hope you have for work and for the future.

That verse about being the head and not the tail was given as part of God's covenant promise to His people as they walked in obedience to Him. Its deepest fulfillment is found in Christ. In Him you are highly favored, not because of positive words alone, but because God has made a way to bring you near to Himself and to lift you up by His grace.

Scripture shows that even within the law, God built in room for His grace to work. There was a detailed instruction for the person with leprosy in the day of his cleansing, to come and show himself to the priest and to be examined and set apart. Leprosy had no human cure, yet God left provision for what only He could do. He did not box Himself in. He made a way for the impossible to be made clean if He chose to heal. That is a beautiful picture of how God works. When something looks incurable or unchangeable, we can still give Him room to work according to His will and not limit what He can do.

When Jesus healed a man with leprosy, He told him to go and follow what Moses had commanded, to show himself to the priest and offer what was required. It was a quiet, personal obedience between the man and the Lord. In the same way, God still calls us to come to Him in simple obedience and trust, believing that His grace can operate even where the law could only point out the need.

You mentioned a Boaz in your life. In the book of Ruth, Boaz was a relative of Elimelech who acted as a kinsman redeemer. He married Ruth and raised up a family name through their son Obed, who became the father of Jesse, the father of David. That family line leads directly to Jesus. The whole idea of the kinsman redeemer points to what Jesus came to do. He became human, truly kin to us, so that He could redeem us. He is the true Redeemer who restores life and gives a future.

God has also always shown His heart to provide for daily needs, even making provision for the hungry to eat from the fields when in need. He cares about your practical needs, including work and provision, and He invites you to trust Him for those things in a way that honors Him.

Above all, the one provision God has made for sin is the blood of Jesus Christ His Son. There is no other way for sin to be atoned for. Jesus said that whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because light has come into the world. Your mention of the blood of Jesus is the most important part of your prayer, because forgiveness, favor, and true hope for your mistakes to be turned to good can only come through Him. He alone can take what has been broken and redeem it.

I pray that you will continue to rest in Jesus as your Redeemer, walk in obedience to His word, and trust Him to work in His way and timing in your home, with your son, and in the work He has for you. May you know His grace, His cleansing, and His faithful provision as you look to Him alone for life and hope.
