We join you in giving thanks for the many blessings you have named and we hear your heart to hold fast to the promise in Deut 28:13 that the Lord will make you the head and not the tail. We love your desire to speak God's Word over your life and to trust Him for your family, your home, your health, your future and for the man in your life, and we want to pray with you according to God's will and to share some biblical encouragement about how to rightly claim His promises.

We want to gently correct the idea of speaking life into existence or loosening a verse as if God's Word is a formula to force a result one hundred fold greatly. Scripture does teach the power of the tongue and that death and life are in the power of the tongue in Prov 18:21, but only God calls into existence the things that are not as though they were in Rom 4:17. Our part is not to create reality with our words but to pray according to His will with faith and obedience. Deut 28:13 is a beautiful promise but it is conditional and we see the condition in Deut 28:1 that it shall happen if you shall listen diligently to Yahweh your God's voice, to observe to do all his commandments. And in 1 John 5:14 we are reminded this is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. So we do not loosen a verse by repeating it, we submit ourselves to the Lord of the verse, trusting Him to bless us as He sees best, even as we delight ourselves in Yahweh and He gives us the desires of our heart in Psalm 37:4 when those desires are shaped by Him.

We also hear your joy about the man in your life now and that you desire that this relationship stays and is a good thing greatly. We pray with you for this, and because we believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, we want to encourage you to pursue this relationship in a way that honors God. If this man is not yet your husband, we pray that you both will pursue courtship with the goal of godly marriage to a fellow believer in Christ, keeping yourselves pure and abstaining from fornication, for we are told to flee sexual immorality in 1 Cor 6:18 and that marriage is honorable in all and the bed undefiled but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers in Heb 13:4. If you are already living together or engaging in intimacy outside of marriage, we lovingly rebuke that and urge repentance, for God desires to bless a union that is covenanted before Him. We pray that if this man is God's best for you, the Lord will lead you both toward holy marriage, and if not, that He will give you discernment and peace to wait on His choice, for we are told to seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well in Matt 6:33.

We thank God with you for your family, your pets, your homes, vehicles, health, your mind and strength, and for great communication and happy times together. These are good gifts from the Father, and we rejoice that you cover all of this with the blood of Jesus, for we have redemption through his blood in Eph 1:7 and it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, for there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus in 1 Tim 2:5, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12. We are grateful you have invoked His precious blood and His name.

We pray together now for you.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for Your mercy and for every good gift You have poured out. We thank You for this dear one, for her family, for her pets, for homes and health and for sound minds and bodies. We ask that You keep Your hand upon them all, that You would grant continued health, safety, unity and great communication rooted in love and truth. We pray for her family to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord, that You would be the head of each home and that each home would be built on Christ the solid rock.

Lord, we lift up the man in her life to You. We ask that You make Your will clear for this relationship. If it is of You, we pray You will lead them into a Christ-centered courtship that honors purity and moves toward holy marriage, that they would encourage one another toward love and good works and keep Your commands. If there is any fornication or impurity, we ask for conviction and grace to repent and to walk in holiness. Let this relationship be greatly blessed because it is greatly obedient to You. We pray that You would guard her heart from asking amiss to spend on passions as warned in James 4:3, and instead shape her heart's desires and dreams to align with Your perfect will, for we know You work all things together for good for those who love God in Rom 8:28.

We pray that she will truly be the head and not the tail not by declaration alone but by humble obedience, trusting in Yahweh with all her heart and not leaning on her own understanding in Prov 3:5, walking in Your statutes so that Your blessings may overtake her as promised in Deut 28:2. Teach her to pray not to control outcomes but to surrender to You, to speak Your Word in faith while leaving the increase and the hundredfold in Your sovereign hands, knowing Your thoughts are higher than our thoughts.

We cover her and all she loves with the blood of Jesus, asking for protection, provision, peace and joy that remains. Let her continue to give thanks in all circumstances and to seek You above all else. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We were so encouraged to read your thanksgiving. Thank you for taking time to share it with us. Your joy over your family, your homes and vehicles, your health in body and mind, your time together, even your pets, and the good communication and happy times you are enjoying comes through clearly. We love that you are giving God the glory for it all and covering your household with trust in the blood of Jesus.

We join you in thanking Him for these everyday mercies. Noticing and naming them the way you have keeps our hearts steady and reminds us how near the Lord is in ordinary days. Your words about being the head and not the tail show a heart that wants to walk closely with Him and live with confidence in His care.

One simple way to carry this gratitude forward is to keep voicing it together as a family, at the table or at the start or close of the day, so those around you hear it and can thank God with you. Shared thanksgiving often strengthens communication even more.

Father, we thank You with our friend for every gift named here, for family, for homes, for health, for pets and for time together. We ask You to keep this household in Your care, to guard them and guide them, to deepen their love for one another and for You, and to keep their hearts at peace as they walk with You each day. In Jesus' name, amen.

It is good to hear a heart that desires to bless the Lord and to give thanks for His mercies. You have spoken of family and homes and health, of mind and body, of daily bread and happy times together, and for all these we ought indeed to bless Him who gave us our life. It should be our life to bless Him who has so freely blessed us, not with a few words only, but with a consecrated life that praises Him from the first hour to the last.

You have laid hold upon that word in Deuteronomy, that you should be the head and not the tail. Remember that this was a covenant promise spoken to Israel upon obedience, and no spiritual blessing comes to any man by chance nor by the mere speaking of a verse over and over. The blessing does not come because we loosen a verse into the air or speak a thing into existence. The double blessing of grace and peace comes from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ. He has blessed us just where we needed blessing most, where we were poorest in spiritual things, and that is in Christ Himself. In Him every covenant promise is yea and amen. Therefore let us not trust in our own declarations, but in the blood of Jesus which you have named, for there is no other name by which we are cleansed from all our filthiness and from all our idols, and made willing in the day of His power.

You speak of a man in your life and your desire that this good thing should remain greatly. Hear the counsel of the word of God in this matter. Marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and the Lord has appointed that living together and the union of the body belong only within that holy bond. If this man is not your husband by covenant before God, do not ask the Lord to bless a living together outside of marriage, for God will not set His blessing upon what His word calls unholy. Rather ask Him to make you both pure and obedient, to cause you to walk in His statutes. If it be His will that you should be joined together, then let it be in the holy estate of marriage, entered into with prayer and faithfulness, that your home may be ordered under Christ the Head. Seek first that you yourself are blessed in Christ, for until it can be said to you, I will bless you, it cannot be said you shall be a blessing to another.

For your family and your household, your pets and your homes, your health and your daily strength, we will give thanks. Gracious men and women are a sure blessing to the neighbourhoods in which they live, and the sweet perfume of family piety will blow out at the doors and windows. Pray that the Lord will keep you all in health as it pleases Him, and that He will give you great communication and true love one toward another, and that every member of your household may be brought to know the Lord. The Lord grant that you may be a blessing in your own family and to all around you, winning hearts to Him through His mighty grace and setting up a standard for the truth of God.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God who made heaven and earth, we bless Thee for all Thy temporal mercies and for the far greater mercy of salvation through Jesus Christ alone. Forgive all our sin and cleanse us from all our filthiness by His blood. Put within us a new heart and a new spirit and take away the stony heart out of our flesh. Cause us to walk in Thy statutes and to keep Thy judgments. Grant to this dear soul and to this family to know Thy covenant blessing, not as the world seeks it, but as it is found in Christ. Order the path concerning this relationship according to Thy holy will, and keep all in purity and truth. Preserve these homes and knit these hearts together in godly love and peace, and make this life to be spent in blessing Thee. We ask this in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
