Deut 28:13 IM THE HEAD NOT THE TAIL IN MY FINANCES GREATLY

Beloved of All
Loosen Verse Deut 28:13 Im the head not the tail in my finances I have enough hours to work at least making up to $###,### in case the government ever decides to honor me in anyway greatly..with the blood of Jesus

We join with you in bringing your finances before the Lord and we appreciate your desire to stand on His Word, including that you have invoked the blood of Jesus, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is His blood that redeems us.

You have quoted Deuteronomy 28:13 which says, Yahweh will make you the head, and not the tail. You will be above only, and you will not be beneath, if you listen to the commandments of Yahweh your God which I command you today, to observe and to do them. We want to gently bring biblical context to this beautiful promise so you can stand on it rightly. This was part of the covenant blessings God promised to Israel if they obeyed His voice, as it says in Deuteronomy 28:1-2, It shall happen, if you shall listen diligently to Yahweh your God’s voice, to observe to do all his commandments which I command you today, that Yahweh your God will set you on high above all the nations of the earth. All these blessings will come upon you and overtake you, if you listen to Yahweh your God’s voice. Through Christ we are indeed blessed and made children of God, but the Scripture is not a formula to be loosened as an incantation for a specific salary figure. It is a promise we trust as we walk in obedience, diligence, contentment and stewardship, seeking first His kingdom.

We hear your heart to have enough hours to work and to be provided for greatly, even regarding any honor or provision that might come through the government. God does care about our daily needs and our work. We are reminded in Philippians 4:19, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. And in Matthew 6:33, But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. He honors honest labor, for Proverbs 10:4 says, He becomes poor who works with a lazy hand, but the hand of the diligent brings wealth. And Colossians 3:23 tells us, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.

We also want to lovingly encourage you to guard your heart against making a specific amount of money an idol, for 1 Timothy 6:10 warns, For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. And Proverbs 21:5 reminds us, The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit, and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty. Our prayer is not merely for wealth, but for sufficiency, wisdom, and contentment to use whatever God provides for His glory, to provide for your needs, to be generous, and to be free from anxiety.

So we pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and through His precious blood shed for us. We thank You that You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and that You know our needs before we ask. We lift up this dear one to You and ask that You would establish the work of their hands, that You would open doors for honest work and sufficient hours, and that You would grant favor with employers and with any authorities who oversee provision and honor. Let all dealings be just and fair in Your sight. Grant wisdom to steward every dollar well, to be diligent and not hasty, to be content and not covetous, and to seek Your kingdom first above all gain. We rebuke any spirit of greed or anxiety and we ask You to replace it with trust and peace. Make this one the head and not the tail in the sense of walking in Your wisdom, integrity and blessing as they obey Your voice, not chasing riches but chasing righteousness. Provide for every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus and teach them to abound in generosity and thanksgiving. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We hear the earnestness in your prayer for financial stability. Wanting to provide, to have steady hours and to do honest work matters deeply, and we understand why you brought this before the Lord so specifically.

We join you in asking God for provision and for wisdom to steward what He provides. One thing that has helped many people carrying similar burdens is to get a clear, simple picture on paper of income, hours, expenses and any debts, and then to walk through it with a trusted, level-headed person, whether a pastor, a financial counselor at your church, or a nonprofit credit counseling service. Having another set of eyes can bring accountability, help you set realistic next steps for work hours or budgeting, and ease some of the pressure you are feeling alone.

You do not have to carry the weight of figuring everything out at once. We are asking God to give you peace as you take faithful steps day by day and to open wise doors for work.

Father, we lift our brother to You and ask for Your provision, guidance and peace in his finances and work. Give him wisdom for each decision, strength for his labor, and confidence in Your care. Lead him to helpful counsel and steady opportunities. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer concerning provision and work has been brought before the Lord, and we desire to answer you with truth and with tenderness for your soul.

The verse you have quoted, that the Lord would make you the head and not the tail, was spoken to Israel under the covenant at Sinai. It was part of that Theocracy which would have made a grand government for Israel if Israel had but been able to walk before God in faith and obedience. The blessings of that chapter were tied to perfect keeping of the law, and the curses for disobedience are solemn indeed. None of us has kept that law, and therefore none can claim its outward blessings as a debt owed to us. The law shows us our need of a better Head and a better hope.

That better hope is Christ. He has discharged the debt which we could never pay. In those three hours of darkness upon the cross He was denied the light of the sun, that He might bear the curse for His people, and in token that the debt was paid the darkness turned to light. Before there was any defilement there was an arrangement for cleansing us from all iniquity through the precious blood of Jesus, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. The blood of Jesus was not shed to serve as a phrase to loosen finances, but to put away the ill savor of human guilt and to make atonement for sin. To be bought with that price is to belong to Him, and to have every idle hour and every labour watched over by a gracious Father.

To be the head and not the tail finds its true fulfillment in Him who is the Head of His Church. When we are in Christ we are members of His body, and our standing before God is secure not because we have claimed a verse, but because He perfectly obeyed and then offered Himself as a sweet savor unto God for us.

We do not doubt that God cares for your daily needs and for honest work. He calls His people to diligent labour, to stewardship, to contentment and to trust in His providence rather than in any promise of great riches or in the honor of government. You do well to ask for enough hours to work and to provide through lawful means. Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and ask the Lord to give you wisdom to use what He provides, to be free from the love of money, and to remember that you were once a bondman and the Lord your God redeemed you.

We will pray for you.

Our Father, we thank Thee that provision for atonement was made in Christ before the world began. We ask Thee to forgive sin and to give this dear soul faith to rest in Jesus alone for salvation. Grant daily bread according to Thy wisdom, give strength for honest labour, teach contentment and good stewardship, and keep the heart from covetousness. Let Christ be prized as the true riches, and let all earthly needs be supplied as Thou seest best, to Thy glory. In the name of Jesus we ask, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
