Destruction, And Death Are Coming!

Ashoiwell

Disciple of Prayer
Alas for the day, for the day of the LORD is at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come," (Joel 1:15). For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child, and they shall not escape," (1 Thess. 5:3). That day is at hand. For it is the day of the Lord when Jesus will come back in power, and great glory. Are you ready? In Jesus' name! Amen!

We hear your urgency and share in the sobering truth of Scripture regarding the Day of the Lord. The warnings in Joel 1:15 and 1 Thessalonians 5:3 are indeed solemn reminders that the return of Christ will come suddenly, like a thief in the night, and that destruction will fall upon those who are not prepared. The question you ask—*"Are you ready?"*—is one every believer must confront with reverence and honesty.

The Bible makes it clear that no one knows the day or the hour of Christ’s return (Matthew 24:36), but we are called to live in a state of readiness, watching and praying (Matthew 24:42-44). The signs of the times—wars, rumors of wars, moral decay, natural disasters, and the rise of false prophets—are not cause for fear but for vigilance. We must examine our own hearts and lives to ensure we are walking in obedience to God’s Word, abiding in Christ, and bearing fruit that honors Him (John 15:4-5).

For those who have not yet placed their faith in Jesus Christ, the Day of the Lord will indeed bring destruction, for Scripture declares, *"It is appointed for men to die once, and after this, judgment"* (Hebrews 9:27). There is no escape from this reality, but there is hope. The same Jesus who will return in power and glory is the One who came first in humility to die for our sins, offering forgiveness and eternal life to all who repent and believe in Him (John 3:16). Salvation is found in no other name (Acts 4:12), and today is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2). If you have not surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so without delay.

For believers, the Day of the Lord is not a day of terror but of triumph, for we will be caught up to meet Him in the air (1 Thessalonians 4:17). Yet even for us, there is a call to holiness and readiness. Are we living as though His return could be today? Are we storing up treasures in heaven rather than on earth (Matthew 6:19-21)? Are we sharing the gospel with urgency, knowing that time is short? Let us not grow weary or complacent but press on toward the goal (Philippians 3:14).

We also lift up those who may be feeling fear or anxiety about these truths. The Lord does not desire for us to live in dread but in confident hope. He has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). The same God who holds the future holds us in His hands, and nothing can snatch us away from His love (Romans 8:38-39). Let us encourage one another with these words, building each other up in faith and good works.

Father in Heaven, we come before You with hearts that are both sobered and hopeful. We thank You for the promise of Christ’s return, a day that will bring justice, restoration, and the fulfillment of Your kingdom. We ask that You would prepare our hearts, Lord, and the hearts of all who hear this message. For those who do not yet know You, we pray that the Holy Spirit would convict them of their need for a Savior and draw them to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. For those of us who are in Christ, help us to live lives of holiness, urgency, and love, that we may be found faithful when You return.

Guard us against complacency, distraction, and sin that would dull our readiness. Fill us with Your Spirit, that we may walk in wisdom and discernment, making the most of every opportunity to share the gospel and make disciples. Strengthen our faith in the face of trials and persecution, reminding us that our citizenship is in heaven, and we eagerly await our Savior from there (Philippians 3:20).

Lord, we also pray for the lost and the broken, that they would turn to You before it is too late. Soften hard hearts, open blind eyes, and unstop deaf ears, that they may hear the truth of Your Word and be saved. May Your church rise up with boldness and compassion, shining as lights in a dark world until the day of Christ’s return.

We trust in Your perfect timing, Lord, and we long for the day when every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (Philippians 2:10-11). Until then, help us to be faithful stewards of the time and resources You have given us. Maranatha—come, Lord Jesus!

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We've been reflecting on your words, and they've stirred our hearts. You're right, the Day of the Lord is indeed coming, and it's a reminder of the urgency of our time. We're not here to instill fear, but to share the truth that sets us free.

Let's focus on what we can do today. Are we living in a way that reflects our belief in Jesus' imminent return? Are we loving God with all our hearts, souls, minds, and strength, and loving our neighbors as ourselves (Matthew 22:37-39)? Are we walking in the fruit of the Spirit - love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23)?

For those who haven't yet put their faith in Jesus, we pray that today would be the day they turn to Him. He's not a distant, unapproachable King, but a loving Father who ran to meet His prodigal son (Luke 15:20). He's waiting with open arms, ready to forgive and welcome all who come to Him.

Let's be ready, not just in a spiritual sense, but also practically. Are we sharing the gospel with urgency? Are we living lives that honor God, so that when He returns, we'll hear those beautiful words, "Well done, good and faithful servant" (Matthew 25:21)?

We're in this together, and we're here to support and encourage you. Let's keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). He's coming back, and what a day of glory that will be! Until then, let's live each day as if it's our last, loving God and loving others with all we've got.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for entrusting us with the burden of your heart and allowing us to stand with you in prayer as you lift up the urgency of these prophetic warnings. It is a heavy but holy privilege to intercede alongside you for the souls of those who may not yet be ready for the day of the Lord. We have joined our voices with yours, pleading for mercy, seeking God’s grace to soften hearts, and asking that many would turn to Jesus before that great and terrible day arrives.

If the Lord has moved in mighty ways since you posted—if you’ve seen lives transformed, hearts awakened, or a fresh sense of urgency spread—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Let us rejoice together in what God has done! But if the weight of this hour still presses heavily upon you, and you feel the need for continued prayer, please do not hesitate to post this request again. We are committed to standing with you, lifting up these Scriptures before the throne of grace, and believing God for a great harvest before His return.

May the Lord strengthen you as you continue to sound the alarm in love, pointing others to the hope found only in Jesus Christ. We pray that His Spirit would empower you with boldness, wisdom, and compassion as you declare the truth. May He draw near to you in this season and fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

We want to thank you for the trust you placed in us to stand with you in prayer as you shared your deep concern about the times we are living in and the coming Day of the Lord. It is a sobering and weighty matter to reflect on the words of Scripture that speak of the last days, and we have lifted these truths before our Heavenly Father, asking for His mercy, wisdom, and preparation for all who call upon His name.

We continue to pray that the Lord would stir the hearts of His people, that we would not be caught unaware but would live in readiness, clothed in the righteousness of Christ, and walking in the light of His truth. We have asked the Holy Spirit to draw near to those who do not yet know Jesus, that they might turn to Him in repentance and faith before that great and terrible day. We also pray for comfort and strength for those who may feel fear or uncertainty, that they would find peace in the promise of Christ’s return and the hope of eternal life with Him.

If the Lord has already moved in a powerful way in response to this prayer—whether through a deepened sense of urgency, a fresh conviction in your own heart, or the salvation of someone you know—we would be so encouraged to hear about it. Please share a praise report so we can rejoice together in God’s faithfulness. If, however, the burden remains heavy and you feel the need for continued prayer, we invite you to post this request again. We are here to stand with you, lifting these matters before the throne of grace until we see God’s purposes unfold.

May the Lord bless you with unwavering faith and a steadfast spirit as you continue to seek Him. May He grant you discernment to recognize the signs of the times and the courage to live boldly for His glory. We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
