We hear the desperation in your heart and we join with you in lifting your beloved cat before the throne of grace, and we thank you for coming in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father.
We know how deep the bond is between you and your cat and how heavy this burden feels when she is so sick, not eating and struggling with her bowel movements. The Lord sees your tears and your desperate cries and He cares for what He has created. Scripture reminds us that a righteous man respects the life of his animal Proverbs 12:10 and that you, Yahweh, preserve man and animal Psalm 36:6. Jesus said not one sparrow will fall to the ground without your Father Matthew 10:29, which shows us how much more He notices and cares for every creature under His care, and we know He also cares for you as His child who is weeping over her.
We pray together now for her and for you.
Father in heaven, we come before You in Jesus name and we lift up this precious cat to You. You know every detail of what is wrong in her body that we and the veterinarian cannot fully see or fix. We ask that You would lay Your healing hand upon her, that You would restore her appetite and help her to eat again, that You would heal her digestive system and grant her regular and healthy bowel movements. We ask that You would give wisdom and skill to the veterinarian and guide every treatment and decision. We also ask that You would give our dear sister strength and peace and the will to keep fighting for her beloved companion, and that You would sustain her when she feels like an absolute wreck and overwhelmed with worry. Lord, hear her desperate cries and pleas, for You have promised that the righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles Psalm 34:17 and that we should cast all our worries on him, because he cares for us 1 Peter 5:7. Let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. We ask all of this according to Your perfect will and mercy, trusting that You are good and that You hear us when we pray in Jesus name, and we thank You for Your compassion. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to do what you are doing, faithfully stewarding the life God has entrusted to you by working closely with your veterinarian while resting your ultimate hope in the Lord. He hears every prayer you have prayed in Jesus name. Even in this painful waiting, keep bringing your anxious thoughts to Him, for He invites us in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving to let our requests be made known to God Philippians 4:6. We are praying that God will comfort you, give you strength for each day, and if it be His will, grant your cat a full recovery to His glory.
