Desperate prayer for ###

My mum is severely depressed, she doesn’t want to live. Her room is hate to say it, a hoarder room and you need to climb to get into it. Her husband is abusive and she feels very stuck. I’m struggling to keep lifting her up and giving her hope. She has lived ### nearly ### years of all forms of abuse. I don’t know how to help anymore than I do. I pray and nothing happens. I am exhausted spiritually trying to offer help, lift her up and give her hope.

We hear the deep anguish in your heart for your mother, and we join you in bringing this heavy burden before the Lord. The pain of watching a loved one suffer—especially under the weight of depression and abuse—is overwhelming, and your exhaustion is understandable. But we want to remind you that even when we feel powerless, God is not. He sees every tear, hears every silent cry, and holds your mother in His hands.

First, we must address the abuse your mother is enduring. Scripture is clear that God hates oppression and violence. Psalm 11:5 says, *"Yahweh examines the righteous, but the wicked and him who loves violence his soul hates."* Your mother’s husband is not only harming her but grieving the heart of God. We must pray boldly for her protection and for God to intervene in this marriage. If she is in immediate danger, we strongly urge you to seek help from local authorities or a domestic violence shelter. God does not intend for her to remain in this bondage.

The depression and hoarding are symptoms of deeper wounds—years of abuse have taken their toll. We rebuke the spirit of despair that has taken hold of her mind and declare that God’s light will break through the darkness. Psalm 34:18-19 assures us, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* We pray that she would experience the nearness of God in a tangible way, that He would lift her out of this pit and set her feet upon solid ground.

You mentioned feeling spiritually exhausted, and we want to encourage you—this is not a sign of weakness but of love. Galatians 6:9 says, *"Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up."* Your prayers are not in vain. Even when you don’t see change, God is working. We pray that He would renew your strength, fill you with His peace, and remind you that He is the one who sustains both you and your mother.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious mother who is trapped in darkness. Lord, You see her pain, her despair, and the years of abuse she has endured. We ask that You would break every chain of oppression over her life. Surround her with Your angels, protect her from harm, and give her the courage to seek safety if she is in danger. Father, we rebuke the spirit of depression and declare that Your joy will be her strength. Heal her mind, restore her hope, and let her feel Your love in a real and powerful way.

We also lift up her daughter, who is carrying this burden with such love. Lord, strengthen her when she is weak, fill her with Your peace, and remind her that You are the God who sees and hears. Give her wisdom in how to support her mother and the boldness to seek help when needed. Father, we ask that You would move mightily in this situation. Bring light into the darkness, freedom from abuse, and healing to this broken heart. We trust You, Lord, for You are faithful.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We also want to gently address your statement, *"I pray and nothing happens."* Dear one, prayer is not a transaction—it is a relationship. Sometimes God answers immediately, sometimes He works in ways we cannot see, and sometimes He calls us to act in faith. James 2:17 reminds us, *"Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead in itself."* While we trust God to move supernaturally, we must also consider practical steps—encouraging your mother to seek Christian counseling, connecting her with a biblical support group, or helping her find a safe place to stay if needed.

Lastly, we must emphasize that true hope is found only in Jesus Christ. If your mother does not know Him as her Savior, we pray that she would turn to Him. Acts 4:12 says, *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* Without Christ, there is no lasting peace or healing. We pray that she would surrender her life to Him and find the hope that never fades.

You are not alone in this battle. We stand with you, praying and believing that God will move in ways beyond what we can ask or imagine. Keep pressing into Him—He will not fail you.

We're right there with you, sister. It's heart-wrenching to see a loved one in such deep pain, feeling trapped and hopeless. But remember, even in the darkest nights, God is there, and He sees your mum's suffering. We need to keep lifting her up to Him, asking for His healing and protection.

We've been praying for strength and wisdom for you too. It's tough when you feel like you're not making a difference, but please know that your prayers are not in vain. They're making a difference, even if you can't see it yet. Keep standing in faith, keep praying, and keep loving your mum. That's what matters most.

Let's also remember to trust God with the things we can't control. We can't force your mum to make changes, but we can pray for her heart to be softened and for God to give her the courage to take steps towards safety and healing.

And hey, it's okay to ask for help too. If there are support groups or counselors in your area that can assist, don't hesitate to reach out. You're not alone in this, and there are people who can provide practical support.

Let's keep praying together, trusting that God is working even when we can't see it. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer for your dear mother. It is clear how deeply you love her and how heavy your heart must be as you watch her struggle with such overwhelming despair. We have lifted her before the Lord, asking Him to break through the darkness with His light, to comfort her in ways only He can, and to reveal His hope to her when she feels there is none. We have also prayed for you, that the Lord would renew your strength, give you wisdom in how to support her, and fill you with His peace as you continue to intercede on her behalf.

If you have seen even the smallest glimmer of change—if her heart has softened, if she has reached out for help, or if you’ve sensed God moving in ways you couldn’t have imagined—we would be overjoyed to hear a praise report. Your testimony could encourage others who are walking a similar path.

If, however, the burden still feels just as heavy and the answers seem distant, please do not hesitate to post this request again. We are here to continue standing with you, to lift your mother before the throne of grace, and to trust that God hears our cries even when we cannot see His hand at work. He is near to the brokenhearted, and He has not abandoned either of you.

May the Lord surround you both with His presence, give you endurance for this trial, and lead you to the help and resources you need. We pray that He would open doors for your mother to receive the care and freedom she so desperately needs, and that He would heal the wounds of so many years of pain. Keep seeking Him—He is faithful, even when the wait feels unbearable.

In Jesus' Name we pray.
