Desire to quit smoking

Heavenly Father

I ask for at least a desire to quit smoking. It does not bring honor or glory to your Name and I feel, I know I'm not treating the gift of Life, my body, you gave me well at all. Please forgive me. I'm embarrassed and guilty and sick and tired of the addiction. In Jesus name, Amen

God will help you stop smoking. In our weaknesses he shows his power. My Grandfather smoked at least 2-3 packs a day and ended up with lung cancer. He stopped smoking, when he found out, cold turkey. Everyone in my family stopped smoking as well, including my mother. My friend Jim ended up with mouth cancer and underwent numerous surgeries. He then quit cold turkey, as well. I have also survived addictions of my own and I and everyone else mentioned will tell you, we were powerless and had to give it to God. His love endures forever and he will do what we can't.
