Thank you Lord Jesus Christ for hearing and answering our prayers ijnwp Amen ty pw for praying with us

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this family who is enduring such painful persecution, especially from those who should be demonstrating Christ’s love. It is deeply grievous when the body of Christ, called to be a refuge of compassion, instead becomes a source of harm. The wounds inflicted by spiritual leaders and fellow believers cut far deeper than any worldly oppression, for they strike at the very hope of sanctuary in God’s house. We stand with this family in the authority of Jesus’ name, declaring that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that the blood of Christ, which speaks a better word than the blood of Abel, covers this injustice (Hebrews 12:24).

Father, we ask You to be their shield and defender. Where they have been slandered, restore their reputation. Where they have been isolated, surround them with Your presence and godly community. Where depression and despair have taken root, uproot them by the power of Your Spirit and replace them with the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We rebuke the spirit of suicide in Jesus’ name, let no lie of worthlessness or hopelessness take hold. Remind them that their lives are precious to You, that You collect every tear in a bottle (Psalm 56:8), and that You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18).

Lord, we also pray for repentance in the hearts of those who have bullied and mistreated this family. Soften their hearts to see the damage they have caused, and lead them to genuine sorrow and restitution. If their actions stem from pride, insecurity, or unchecked authority, expose it and bring correction. Let Your church be a place of healing, not harm, where the weak are lifted up, not trampled (1 Thessalonians 5:14).

We declare that this family is not forgotten. You are their vindicator, their comforter, and their strength. Strengthen their faith to endure, their minds to resist the enemy’s lies, and their hearts to forgive, even as You empower them to set godly boundaries. May they experience Your deliverance in tangible ways, seeing Your hand move on their behalf.

Above all, we pray they would know You more intimately through this trial. Use this suffering to refine their trust in You, not in man. Let their testimony become a beacon of Your faithfulness, and may their story bring glory to Your name. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who was despised and rejected yet chose to lay down His life for us all. Amen.

We are so sorry this family is enduring such painful treatment from those who should be their shepherd and family in Christ. When church leaders and members bully instead of protect, it wounds deeply, and the depression and hopelessness that follow are real and heavy. If anyone in this family is in immediate danger of harming themselves, we urge them right now to reach their local emergency services. Free, confidential support is also available in about 130 countries at findahelpline.com, they are not alone, and trained people are ready to help.

What you describe is spiritual abuse: misusing authority to control, shame, or belittle, driving people into darkness rather than toward the Shepherd who binds up the brokenhearted. This is not God’s heart, and it is not their fault. We want to name that, because when the very place meant to be safe becomes a source of trauma, it can twist a person’s understanding of God. But God is not the bully. He sees every tear, and He does not dismiss their anguish.

A few practical steps that might help: First, safety matters. If the bullying includes harassment, threats, or slander, consider if it is wise to step back from that church community for a season, even if only to breathe and hear God’s voice apart from the noise. Second, seek a trusted outside voice: a professional counselor, a pastor from another church, or a helpline listener can offer clarity and help them untangle what has happened to them. Third, if there is a plan or vivid thoughts about suicide, do not wait, reach out to a crisis line or a doctor today. God does not want them to carry this alone.

We lift this family before our Lord now. Father, in Jesus’ name we ask for your protection over this family. Silence the voices that crush their spirits, and surround them with people who will reflect your kindness rather than cruelty. Break through the despair that whispers they are worthless or abandoned, and hold them steady in your love. Give them courage to take the next small step toward safety and healing. Restore what the enemy has tried to steal, and let them taste your peace, even in the middle of this storm. Amen.

Persecution, even when it comes not with flames and prisons but with the venom of slander and the weight of cruel mockings from those who bear the name of pastor, serves a divine purpose in the hand of God. He has blessed His church by her persecution, and He blesses the individual believer by it still. When the hive is scattered by such oppression, every swarm begins to make honey. The family overwhelmed and driven to the brink is not forgotten; the Lord overrules this very trouble to draw them nearer to Himself and to keep sharp the separation between the living Church and a world that dresses itself in vestments but knows not the Grace of God.

A church that bullies the broken proves itself no true Church. It may be nominally such, but it cannot be really so unless the work of the Spirit is in the hearts of its members. Do not look to a mere institution for your hope. Cry out to God that He would not forsake you in this affliction, not upon your bed by night, nor under this crushing load by day. What is all the bread in the world unless you yourself feed upon it? You must have a personal religion. Plead the precious blood of Jesus over your own hearts and home. He sees His true Church as all fair, without spot, because she stands in Him, not in the approval or condemnation of men. Looking at her from the crown of her head to the sole of her feet, He sees not a blemish because she is in Christ. Let this be your refuge.

If the members of your household are converted, let them gather and continue steadfast in worship, prayer, and breaking of bread, even if done in trembling. A Church in the house is no true Church if it is satisfied without endeavoring to bring in every member of the family, and it cannot be a Church without constant worship. Be a devout household, obedient to Christ in His ordinances. Let there be no go-betweens in this evil day; you must publicly take sides with Christ, and when you bow before Him as the one Head of His Church, you are free from the control and patronage of those who usurp His place. He is the Chief among ten thousand, the Chosen of His Church, and at His feet the reverent heart adoringly bows, hailing Him alone as Master.

Do not be overwhelmed. Godly mothers and hard-working fathers, enduring patiently as seeing Him who is invisible, are the crown and glory of the Church of God. This present decrease of comfort and peace may be the nursery for increase of grace and eternal weight of glory. The Lord does not forsake His work. Go home and plead with God, and though the tempter whispers of ending all, know that He who has begun a good work in you will perfect it. The Lord will perfect that which concerns you; He will not forsake the work of His own hands. The blood of Jesus Christ pleads louder than the cruel words of men. Rest in that.
