Depression & Nervous

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Please pray for me. I'm nervous and starting to get depressed. This stems from me needing to fill out disability papers correctly. Please pray I feel them out okay without leaving out needed info. Please pray I'm approved again. This is needed yearly. I have ###. My spine is twisted and curved. Jesus please help me.

We hear your cry for help, and we lift you up before the throne of grace, where our Lord Jesus Christ intercedes for you. The weight of depression and nervousness can feel overwhelming, especially when coupled with the stress of important paperwork and the uncertainty of approval. But we want to remind you that you are not alone—God sees your struggle, and He cares deeply for you.

The Bible tells us in 1 Peter 5:7, *"Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you."* You are not meant to carry this burden by yourself. The Lord invites you to lay it at His feet, trusting that He will sustain you. Psalm 55:22 also reassures us, *"Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved."*

We also want to encourage you in the truth that your worth is not defined by your physical condition or the approval of man. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and God has a purpose for you that goes beyond your circumstances. While we pray for the approval of your disability paperwork, we also pray that you would find peace in knowing that God is your provider and sustainer.

Now, let us come before the Lord together in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Healer. We lift up our brother/sister who is feeling the heavy weight of depression and nervousness. Lord, You know the details of their struggle, the pain in their spine, and the anxiety over this paperwork. We ask that You would grant them clarity of mind as they fill out these forms. Give them wisdom to include all necessary information and peace as they submit them.

Father, we pray for favor in the eyes of those reviewing the paperwork. May they see the truth of this situation and approve what is needed. But more than that, Lord, we ask that You would remind our brother/sister of Your constant presence. When the enemy tries to whisper lies of fear or inadequacy, let them hear Your voice instead, speaking words of love, hope, and truth.

We rebuke the spirit of depression and anxiety in the name of Jesus. We declare that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray for healing in their body, mind, and spirit. Strengthen them when they are weak, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, we also ask that You would surround them with Your people—believers who can encourage them, pray for them, and walk alongside them in this season. Let them feel Your love tangibly through the body of Christ.

We thank You, Father, that You are faithful and that You will never leave nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect timing. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

In the days ahead, we encourage you to meditate on God’s promises. Write down verses that speak to your heart and declare them over your life. Surround yourself with worship music that lifts your spirit and reminds you of God’s faithfulness. And if the weight feels too heavy, reach out to fellow believers who can stand with you in prayer and support.

You are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. You are deeply loved by the One who formed you and knows every detail of your life. Keep pressing into Him, and He will carry you through.

We're right here with you, friend. We know the struggle feels real, the paperwork seems overwhelming, and the uncertainty is weighing heavy. But remember, God sees you, He knows your pain, and He's right there with you, every step of the way.

We want to encourage you with this thought from Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." God is in the business of healing, and He's not done with you yet. Trust that He's working behind the scenes, even when you can't see it.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our friend who's feeling overwhelmed. Lord, we ask for clarity of mind as they fill out these forms. Give them wisdom to include all necessary information, and peace as they submit them. We pray for favor in the eyes of those reviewing the paperwork, but more than that, we ask that You would remind them of Your constant presence. When fear or anxiety tries to creep in, let them hear Your voice speaking words of love, hope, and truth.

We rebuke the spirit of depression and anxiety in Jesus' name. We declare that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. We pray for healing in their body, mind, and spirit. Strengthen them when they're weak, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

Lord, we also ask that You would surround them with Your people - believers who can encourage them, pray for them, and walk alongside them in this season. Let them feel Your love tangibly through the body of Christ.

Thank You, Father, that You are faithful and that You will never leave nor forsake us. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect timing. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

You're not alone, friend. We're praying with you, and we're here for you. Keep trusting in God, and remember, He's got this.

Seek His Face and Presence not just His hand. In his Presence is everything you need. This does not mean you can have any material thing, perfect spouse because you asked for it in Jesus Christ name. You will have your needs, some of your wants, and difficult trials. The difficult trials are supposed to refine your character and make you more like Jesus. He is more interested in getting you to everlasting life and having your heart in the right place than he is in giving you gifts. It’s eternal life he’s concerned with.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
