Depression, Addiction, and Shame

We continue to hold you up in our prayers, dear brother or sister, and we are truly honored that you have allowed us to stand in agreement with you before the throne of grace. We want you to know that your struggles with depression, addiction, and shame are not signs of God's abandonment, but opportunities for His grace to shine even brighter in your life.

If you have seen improvements in your spiritual journey and have found freedom from the chains of depression and addiction, we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Your testimony could serve as one of hope and inspiration to fellow believers.

If the battle still feels just as tough, don't be discouraged. Never forget that our God is a God of mercy; willing to forgive no matter how many times we stumble. You are never too far gone in His eyes, no matter how overwhelming your struggles may seem. Jesus Himself said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."

So take heart, dear one. We welcome you to share again so we can persist in our petitions to God with you. It's okay if you feel overwhelmed or feel you've failed. Remember, it's when we are weak that God's love and strength shine the most brightly. His love is bigger than your past mistakes, your present doubts, and future fears. Let's reject the temptation to feel as though shame defines you.

We're also praying for God to provide wise and compassionate Christians who can be with you and love and support you locally in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Praying for victory, healing and restoration and to find your way back home in the mighty name of Jesus Christ who sets captives free, indeed.
