depressed

We hear your cry for help, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we lift you up before the throne of grace with heavy hearts. The weight of depression, worry, and overwhelm can feel crushing, but we serve a God who is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). You are not alone in this battle, and we stand with you in prayer, believing that the Lord will sustain you and lift your burdens according to His perfect will.

First, we must address the spiritual foundation of your struggle. Depression and anxiety often stem from a place of fear—not the reverent fear of the Lord, which is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10), but the fear of circumstances, the future, or even failure. Scripture tells us, *"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7). Have you brought these worries before the Lord in prayer, or have you carried them alone? We urge you to surrender them fully to Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).

We also rebuke the spirit of heaviness that seeks to oppress you. The enemy would love nothing more than to isolate you in your pain, making you feel as though no one understands or as though God has abandoned you. But we declare over you the truth of God’s Word: *"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). Jesus Himself said, *"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest"* (Matthew 11:28). He is not a distant or uncaring God—He is Immanuel, God with us, and He invites you to cast your cares upon Him.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our dear brother/sister who is struggling under the weight of depression, worry, and overwhelm. Lord, You see their heart, You know their pain, and You are acquainted with all their ways (Psalm 139:3). We ask that You would draw near to them in this season, that they would feel Your presence like never before. Break the chains of heaviness, Lord, and replace their sorrow with Your joy, which is their strength (Nehemiah 8:10).

Father, we pray for peace to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Where there is fear, let Your perfect love cast it out (1 John 4:18). Where there is despair, let hope arise like the dawn (Lamentations 3:22-23). Where there is weariness, let them find rest in You. We declare that they are not forsaken, for You have said, *"I will never leave you nor forsake you"* (Hebrews 13:5). Strengthen them with Your might, Lord, and renew their spirit day by day.

We also pray for practical wisdom in their work and life. Give them clarity of mind, Lord, and help them to prioritize what is truly important. If there are areas where they are taking on too much, reveal those to them and give them the courage to set boundaries. If there are relationships or situations that are contributing to their stress, grant them discernment and the strength to address them in a way that honors You.

Father, we ask that You would surround them with godly community—believers who will encourage them, pray for them, and walk alongside them in this season. Let them not isolate themselves, but draw them into fellowship where they can be refreshed and reminded of Your love.

Finally, Lord, we pray for healing—spirit, soul, and body. If there are physical or chemical imbalances contributing to their depression, we ask for Your healing touch. If there are lies from the enemy that they have believed, expose them and replace them with Your truth. Let them see themselves as You see them: fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), redeemed by the blood of Jesus, and deeply loved.

We thank You, Lord, that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28), even when they cannot see it. Strengthen their faith, deepen their trust in You, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, Amen.

Dear one, we want to encourage you with a few practical steps as well. First, make time each day to be still before the Lord, even if it’s just for a few minutes. Read His Word, journal your thoughts and prayers, and listen for His voice. The psalms are a wonderful place to start, as they are filled with raw emotion and honest cries to God. Second, reach out to a trusted friend, pastor, or counselor. You do not have to walk this road alone. Third, take care of your physical health—rest, nourish your body, and get some movement in, even if it’s just a short walk. Often, our physical state can impact our mental and emotional well-being.

Lastly, we want to gently remind you that if you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, this is the most important step you can take. Jesus is the only way to the Father (John 14:6), and it is only through Him that we can have true peace, hope, and eternal life. If you would like to surrender your life to Him, we encourage you to pray a simple prayer like this:

*"Lord Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner in need of Your grace. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and rose again, conquering death. I turn from my sins and invite You into my heart as my Lord and Savior. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit, and help me to live for You. Thank You for saving me. In Your name I pray, Amen."*

If you prayed that prayer, we rejoice with you! We encourage you to find a local church where you can grow in your faith, be baptized, and connect with other believers.

You are loved, you are valued, and you are not forgotten. The Lord is fighting for you, even when you cannot see it. Keep pressing into Him, and trust that He will lead you through this valley into a place of peace and purpose. We will continue to stand in the gap for you in prayer.

We're here for you, dear friend. We know the weight of depression, worry, and overwhelm can feel suffocating, but remember, you're not alone. We're lifting you up in prayer, and we want you to know that God sees you, He cares, and He's right there with you.

Let's take a moment to focus on the practical steps you can take today. First, try to set aside some time for self-care. This could be a short walk, a warm bath, or just a few moments of quiet. Your physical health can greatly influence your mental and emotional well-being. Also, reach out to someone you trust. Talking about what you're going through can often make the burden feel lighter.

We also want to encourage you to find a local support group or a therapist. There are professionals who specialize in helping people navigate these feelings, and they can provide valuable tools and strategies.

Lastly, keep clinging to God's promises. He's promised to never leave or forsake you, and He's working all things together for your good. Trust in Him, and remember that He loves you deeply.

We'll keep you in our prayers, and we're here if you need to talk. You're not alone, and you're loved. Keep fighting, and remember, there's always hope in Jesus.

I feel depressed worried about work and life feeling overwhelmed. Kindly keep me in your prayers

Praying for you and your request in Jesus.

Have we ever really meditated on Matthew 6 where Jesus instructs us to take no thought for our lives? I have looked at this in terms of the rest of the Bible where I have learned to claim His Promises in Jesus and take on His thoughts for my life. Thank You Lord Jesus for Blessing me to learn to stop thinking about my life, learn to take on Your thoughts for my life and so much more for Your Glory and my good in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Jesus! Glory to You Lord Jesus!!!

Do you Believe Jesus died for our sins, is Risen from the dead, is Preparing a place for us and is about to call us to join Him?

Are you watching for Jesus in the Clouds of Glory? Jesus is about to call us to join Him!

We can do everything Jesus did and more! We can speak; sickness leave in Jesus! Be healed by Jesus stripes! I am healed by Jesus stripes! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

You can copy and paste this to pray every day and share...

There is nothing that happens for us that is bad except our thoughts about what is happening to us. The Bible says All things work together for our good in Jesus! Look at everything as good!

Sing through out your days Thank You Jesus, Praise You Jesus, Glory to You Lord Jesus or anything that is on your heart to sing to Jesus! It doesn't matter how we sound, Angels will join in with us and Jesus will join in with us as well as fight for us, knock down walls for us, open locks for us, save people for us, evil will flee from us, He heals us and He will over flow His Holy Peace in us.

Praying for others on here and reading your Bible will help you tremendously.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life from Matthew 6. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. My wife returned. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus! All things work together for my good in Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus! Glory to You Lord Jesus!!!
