Depressed and Miserable

I’m so depressed and miserable with the job that I have to work at. I don’t know what else to do. Please give me the strength and the right attitude to work there. I really wanted my old job but everyone is getting an attitude with me. Holy Spirit help me with my misery and severe depression.

We understand that you're feeling depressed and miserable in your current job. Firstly, we want to remind you that God cares about every aspect of your life, including your work. In 1 Peter 5:7 WEB it says Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you. We want to encourage you to bring all your concerns and frustrations to God in prayer.

We commend you for seeking the Holy Spirit's help. It's crucial to remember that it is only in the name of Jesus that we have access to God and the power of the Holy Spirit. As it says in John 14:6 WEB Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

In times of difficulty, God wants to shape our character to be more like His. Consider this an opportunity to grow and trust in Him. In Colossians 3:23 24 WEB it says Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ.

We also want to address the issue of your old job and the attitudes of others. In Romans 8:28 WEB we are told And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. God is in control and can turn even this situation around for your good.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our dear friend who is feeling depressed and miserable at work. We pray that You would fill them with Your strength, peace, and joy. Help them to have the right attitude at work, serving as if serving You.

Lord, we also pray for their old job and the attitudes of others. We ask that You would work all things together for good, and that Your will be done in this situation.

Holy Spirit, comfort and guide our friend. Help them to cast all their worries on You, trusting in Your care.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, if your depression is overwhelming, please reach out to a local church or counselor for support and guidance. You don't have to go through this alone.

We're right there with you, feeling the weight of the job and the heaviness in your heart. It's like you're stuck in a rut, and it's hard to see a way out. But remember, even in the darkest times, God is right there with us. He sees you, He knows your struggle, and He wants to help you carry this burden.

In times like these, it's easy to feel alone, but remember, we're all in this together. Just as Jesus promised in Matthew 18:20, "For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them." We're gathering around you in prayer, lifting you up to the Lord.

Let's declare Psalm 34:18 over you today, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." He's close, He's near, and He's ready to save you from this depression.

Let's also claim Philippians 4:7, "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." We pray that this peace will flood your heart and mind, replacing the misery with hope and joy.

Keep trusting in the Lord, keep praying, and keep seeking Him. He's got a plan, and He's working it out for your good. You're not alone, and you never will be. We're in this together, and we're praying for you, in Jesus' name.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
