Dental health

Beloved of All
I have weak dental health and gum health, all four main molars are with after the root canal, and I feel pain when it shouldn’t be , please pray for complete healing.

We have heard your request concerning your dental and gum health and we are lifting you up together before the Lord in Jesus' name. We know how discouraging and painful it can be to deal with ongoing pain, especially after having had root canals on all four main molars and still feeling pain when you should not. Our God sees even these details and cares about your suffering and your body, for we are fearfully and wonderfully made and our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit.

We want to remind you that our healing and our access to the Father comes only through Jesus Christ. We noticed your request did not mention His name, and we want to gently share that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And it is written in Acts 4:12 There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, confessing Him as Lord, for in Romans 10:9 it says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is through Him we now come boldly to pray for your healing.

We take comfort that the Lord is our healer. In Exodus 15:26 He says I am Yahweh who heals you. In Psalm 103:2-3 we are told Praise Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. And in Jeremiah 30:17 the Lord promises But I will restore you to health, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We also cling to 1 Peter 2:24 by whose wounds you were healed. God is able to touch your gums and teeth and bring complete restoration where there has been weakness and pain.

We also encourage you to continue to be a good steward of the body God has given you, for in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 we learn Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. We encourage you to continue to seek wise dental care alongside prayer, to follow sound hygiene and the counsel of your dentist, trusting that God often works through the wisdom He gives to physicians, and we pray for wisdom for those caring for you. In 3 John 1:2 we pray Beloved, we pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You together in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up this dear one to You and ask for Your healing hand upon their teeth and gums. You know the weakness in their dental health and the pain in those four molars after root canals, the pain that lingers when it should not. Lord we ask You to touch the roots, the nerves, the gums and the bone, to remove all infection, inflammation and pain, and to bring complete healing and strength. Restore what is weak and make whole what is hurting. Take away this pain and let them be able to eat and speak and rest without discomfort. Give wisdom and skill to their dentists and providers, and guide every decision for treatment. Let Your peace guard their heart as they trust in You, and let this healing be a testimony of Your mercy and power. We pray for health in body and soul, and we ask all these things according to Your will in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Healer. Amen.

We encourage you to keep trusting the Lord day by day, to bring this need to Him continually, for in James 5:14-15 we read Is any among you sick Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. Keep seeking Him, keep praying in Jesus' name, and keep caring for your health with diligence. We are standing with you for complete healing.

Thank you for trusting us with this need. Ongoing dental and gum pain is so wearing, especially when you have already been through root canals and expect to feel better. It can affect eating, sleeping and just getting through the day, and we understand why you are longing for complete healing.

We are standing with you in prayer for relief and for strength in your teeth and gums. While we pray, we encourage you to let your dentist know promptly about the pain you are feeling when you should not be. Persistent discomfort after treatment is worth having checked in person, and staying connected to your provider is a good way to care for your health alongside prayer. If you do not have a follow up already scheduled, please reach out soon so they can advise you.

We are asking God to give you comfort day by day and wisdom for those caring for you.

Father, we lift our friend to You and thank You that You see and care about this pain. We ask for Your mercy and healing according to Your will, for relief from pain, and for wisdom and clarity for the dentist and any others involved in care. Give peace and rest in the waiting. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

Your burden concerning your teeth and gums has been laid before the Lord and before His people, and we do not count it a small thing. To have weak teeth and tender gums, to have four great molars weakened and wrought upon by the dentist after the root canal, and still to feel pain where pain ought not to be, is a sore trial. As it has been well said, when the body suffers the light is darkened in its tabernacle and even daily bread loses its sweetness, for sickness and pain make gold itself to be cold and cheerless metal.

We take comfort that our Lord Jesus Christ is not unacquainted with suffering. He Himself has suffered being tempted and tried in the body, and He knows what pain is. The iron that enters into the soul He has felt, and the scourging of the body He has borne. He was made a perfect Saviour through suffering, not made more perfect in character for He was ever perfect, but made perfect as the Captain of our salvation to succour those who suffer. Because He suffered without alleviation and without rebellion, He is able to sympathize with you in this present pain of teeth and gums which wears upon the spirits.

There is healing virtue in Christ. The Scripture speaks of the Tree of Life whose leaves are for the healing of the nations, and teaches us that the least thing about Christ is healing. His fruit is sweet and nourishing, but even His leaves, the little things about Him, are full of healing power. When the Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings, pardon and healing come together. He who healed the palsied man saying, thy sins are forgiven thee, is the same who binds up the broken in heart and binds up their wounds. Men may alleviate suffering and console the afflicted, but only Christ can truly heal, and His healing shall at last be perfect when there shall be no more pain, for the former things are passed away.

Let us pray for you now.

O Lord our God, Feeder of sparrows and Physician of souls and bodies, look in mercy upon this Thy servant who suffers in teeth and gums. Thou seest the weakness, the soreness, the pain that returns without cause, and the weariness it brings. Lay Thy hand upon this body and grant complete healing if it be Thy will. Strengthen the gums, confirm the teeth, remove the lingering pain from those molars, and restore comfort in eating and in rest. Give wisdom to those who have care of the body, that means used may be blessed to this end, and give patience under trial and faith to look to Christ who suffered for us. Let this affliction teach the preciousness of the Saviour's blood and the nearness of His sympathy, and keep this soul in pardon and peace through Jesus Christ alone. Hear us for His sake who bore our sicknesses and carried our sorrows. Amen.

Take heart and continue to seek Him. He who will at last banish all pain and sorrow is already near to heal and to help, and even now the leaves of the Tree of Life distil healing to those who trust Him. May the Lord grant you relief, sustain you under the pain that remains, and bring you in His good time to that place where the inhabitant shall no more say, I am sick.
