I am being tormented by demons

We hear your cry and we stand with you together before the throne of grace in Jesus name, seeking God's will for your deliverance and peace. We know that torment by demons is real and terrifying, but we also know that our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12 and that Jesus Christ has already overcome all of them. We want you to know you are not alone and you are not without hope, for greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4.

We notice your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we must lovingly tell you that there is no deliverance, no access to God, and no salvation apart from Him. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is only by calling on the name of Jesus that demons must flee and that we are saved, for at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth Philippians 2:10. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. This is the foundation of all deliverance, to belong fully to Christ, for he delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love Colossians 1:13.

We also must address that the enemy gains ground through open doors, and we rebuke any ground he claims in your life. We encourage you to submit therefore to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you James 4:7. Submission comes first through repentance and faith in Christ, turning away from all sin and from any involvement with the occult, witchcraft, fortune telling, ouija boards, drugs, sexual immorality, or any object or practice that dishonors God. We urge you to renounce those things openly before the Lord, remove them from your home, and close every door. Then resist by being filled with the Holy Spirit, with the Word of God, with prayer and worship, and with fellowship with faithful believers. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil Ephesians 6:11. This means daily reading Scripture aloud, praying in the name of Jesus, singing praise, fasting as you are able, and not isolating yourself but seeking help from a mature Bible believing pastor and church who can pray with you in person and walk with you. Remember God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7, and you have been given authority in Christ, for behold, I give you the authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you Luke 10:19, and these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons Mark 16:17.

We pray together for you now. Heavenly Father, we come before you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, your Son, and we lift up this dear one who is tormented. We ask for your mercy and your deliverance. We confess that Jesus is Lord and that He died on the cross for our sins and rose again, and we claim His blood and His victory over every demonic power. In the name of Jesus Christ we rebuke every evil spirit that is tormenting and oppressing, we command you to leave and to go where Jesus sends you and not return. Father, forgive every sin, cleanse with the blood of Jesus, break every chain and close every door the enemy has used. Fill this heart and home with your Holy Spirit, with your peace that passes understanding, with light where there has been darkness. We ask that you surround this person with your protection, let your Word dwell richly within, teach them to submit to you daily and to resist the devil until he flees. Bring godly believers around them for support and accountability, lead them to a faithful church, and restore sleep, peace, and joy. We declare that you are our refuge and strength, and that no weapon formed against your child shall prosper. Let them know they are loved, redeemed, and sealed in Christ. We ask this in the name above all names, Jesus Christ, Amen.

We encourage you to keep calling on the name of Jesus aloud day and night, to speak Scripture over yourself, to pray without ceasing, and to not give up. If torment continues, keep seeking pastoral help and keep walking in obedience, for God is faithful to deliver. We are continuing to pray with you for complete freedom and for the peace of Christ to guard your heart and mind.

We have read your note and we hear how frightening and exhausting this torment has been for you. To feel harassed and not at peace in your own mind and home is very heavy, and we want you to know you are not alone and you are not forgotten by God.

You do not have to sort through all of this by yourself. One steady help is to have a trusted pastor or mature believer walk with you face to face, someone who knows you, can listen carefully, pray with you regularly, and help you take next steps over time. If you have a church you trust, reaching out soon and asking for ongoing support rather than carrying this privately can bring both care and clarity. It also helps not to isolate, having a couple of trusted people who can be present with you and check in often.

Because this kind of distress touches the whole person, we also encourage you to let your doctor or a counselor know what you are experiencing, alongside prayer, so you have support for your overall wellbeing while you seek spiritual care.

Father, in Jesus name we bring our friend before You. You see the fear and weariness and You are near. We ask for Your peace to guard them, for wisdom and gentleness for those who come alongside them, and for clear direction for each next step. Keep them safe and remind them they are held in Your care. Amen.

Upon Mount Zion there shall be deliverance, and that word is for you in this dark hour. You are not forgotten, though the enemy would whisper that God's ear is shut and He will never move His arm to save you. That arrow is often shot at the afflicted, but it is a lie. There is deliverance with our God, and it abides there at all times. We are daily saved, for salvation is not a thing of yesterday only, but a present refuge to which we may fly when trouble comes upon us.

Know this, that deliverance from sin and from the power of darkness is solely by the power of God. It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. You cannot by your own strength cast out the tormentor, and you need not try. God has invented a way of deliverance and He has found a ransom. The King's own Son has borne the penalty of all our iniquities, and the clock of mercy has struck in heaven the hour of deliverance for all who look to Him. The lamb was slain, and by that blood captives are brought forth. He brought them forth also with silver and gold, for His deliverance is attended with enrichment, and He will not leave you empty.

Hear then what the Scripture declares, that the Father has delivered us from the power of darkness and has translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son. Deliverance from the guilt of sin and deliverance from the power of sin are both the work of God, and where we look for justification there must we also look for sanctification. If you are His, the enemy has no lawful claim upon you. The old possessors have forfeited their lease, and the inheritance is yours in Christ Jesus by an ancient deed of gift. But upon Mount Zion there shall be holiness as well as deliverance, and the Church must be the sanctuary of God where He reveals Himself. Therefore take possession of the whole territory of Divine grace which the Lord has dedicated to your use. Arise and follow on to know the Lord, and be not satisfied till you are conformed to His image.

Fly to Jesus at once, and keep flying to Him. Look to Him, you perishing, that you also may be saved. Cry to Him in the name of His ransom, and rest your soul upon that finished work. Keep close to the Word, and seek the fellowship and prayers of a faithful church where Christ is preached. Ask the elders and pastors who walk with God to pray over you and with you, and to help you to possess your possessions in holiness. Turn from every sin that may give place to the adversary, and hasten to the armoury of God to be arrayed in His panoply.

We will bring your grief before the Lord in prayer. O Lord our God, who has found a ransom and brought forth Thy people with a mighty hand, look upon this afflicted one tormented and tossed. Deliver from the power of darkness by Thy great power, through Jesus Christ our only Deliverer. Let it be seen that Thou hast not cast off, but hast heard the cry. Give peace within the borders of this soul, and grant holiness and rest. Let this tried one yet say, The Lord has chastened me sore, but He has not given me over unto death. I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. And to Thy name shall be the praise, when Thy people are gathered together to serve Thee. Amen.
