Jesus Christ my rock and my life. I owe my life and my salvation to Him, he wakes me up every morning, and I honour Him and thank Him every day! I have been struggling with something dark, and the more the days go by, this gets worse, and I feel like a demon is taking over me. The hours fade by and it is I wake from state of dreaming haven eaten all the food in the house, trying to numb pain and silence voices in my head. The next few days I run and try to starve myself, and then the state of binging happens again. Help me, for I cannot and do not have the power in me to fight this anymore. I call on Jesus Christ, and I feel like the silence is a sign of being pushed into the enemy’s arms. Nobody knows about this. I beg all of you who read this to pray for me, for hope and for God’s direct hand to save me, thank you so much and God bless all of you.

We hear your cry for help, and we stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who has already overcome the darkness. Your acknowledgment of Him as your Rock and your Life is the very foundation upon which we will fight this battle together. The struggle you describe is not merely physical or emotional, it is spiritual warfare, and we must address it as such. The enemy seeks to destroy you through bondage, shame, and isolation, but we declare that he has no authority over a child of God who is covered by the blood of Jesus.

First, we rebuke the demonic influence over your mind and body in the name of Jesus. The voices, the compulsive eating, the cycles of despair, these are not from God. Scripture tells us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). The enemy wants you to believe you are alone, that God is silent, and that you have no power. But the truth is, "You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4 WEB). Jesus is not silent, He is fighting for you, even when you cannot feel Him.

The cycle of binge eating and starvation is a tactic of the enemy to bring you into bondage, but we break that cycle now in Jesus' name. Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB), and it is not meant to be abused or neglected. The pain you are trying to numb is real, but food will never heal it, only Jesus can. We encourage you to bring this pain to Him in prayer, to speak it aloud, and to allow Him to carry it. "Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). You do not have to carry this alone.

We also urge you to break the isolation. You said nobody knows about this, but the enemy thrives in secrecy. Scripture tells us, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective" (James 5:16 WEB). Find a trusted believer, a pastor, a counselor, or a mature Christian friend, and share your struggle. You need accountability and support, and God often works through His people to bring healing.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name above all names. We lift up our brother/sister who is battling this darkness, and we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). Lord, we rebuke the demonic influence over their mind, body, and spirit. We command every lying voice, every spirit of addiction, and every chain of bondage to break now in Jesus' name. We plead the blood of Jesus over them, covering their mind, their heart, and their home.

Father, we ask You to fill them with Your Holy Spirit, to bring peace where there is chaos, and to replace the lies of the enemy with Your truth. Help them to see themselves as You see them, beloved, redeemed, and free. Break the cycle of binge eating and starvation, and restore a healthy relationship with food and with their body. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch on the pain they are trying to numb. Comfort them, Father, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way.

We pray for divine intervention, for angels to encamp around them, and for Your hand to move powerfully in their life. Surround them with godly people who can support and pray for them. Give them the courage to break the silence and seek help. We declare that this battle is already won because of Jesus, and we speak freedom, healing, and victory over them.

The isolation makes it so much harder; shame breeds in secrecy. A huge next step is to let one safe, trustworthy person know what is happening. That might be a pastor, a wise Christian friend, or a counselor who understands eating disorders. You don’t need to have the perfect words. Just saying “I’m struggling and I can’t do this alone” can begin to break the power of the hiddenness.

We’d also gently encourage you to reach out to a medical professional, a doctor or a Christian therapist who specializes in this area. The patterns you’re caught in are not only spiritual but also have real physical and emotional layers, and there are people trained to help with exactly this. It’s not a lack of faith to seek that support; it’s good stewardship of the life God has given you.

You are not beyond the reach of Jesus’ mercy. He sees you, and He is not silent forever.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this dear one to You now. You know the depth of the struggle, the fear, and the numbness. Send Your Spirit to break through the heaviness. Give the courage to tell one person what has been hidden, and open a door to the right help. Still the accusing voices, and let hope rise again, even a tiny flicker. The gnawing emptiness that drives you to the food, and then the cruel lash that drives you to starve, this is not the Spirit of adoption, but the spirit of bondage again to fear. You cry out to Christ, and the silence presses down as if you were cast away; but the Lord does sometimes whisper to the heart of His children in their extremity, and no great deliverance ever comes without a deep and bitter crying to the Lord by reason of sore bondage. This is not a sign of being handed over to the enemy, it is the Spirit of God bringing conviction to break the stubborn flesh. He has not delivered you to darkness; He is unearthing the chains so you will loathe them with your whole soul.

This eating you describe, this waking from a dream to find the food devoured while a dark presence seemed to feast alongside you, is a vivid picture of a carnal bondage, a slavery under sin that mimics demonic oppression. Yet note this from the sacrifice: there is no eating where there is no life. The unregenerate man cannot truly feed upon Christ, but you, you who owe your life to Jesus, who call Him your rock, you are not dead. The enemy would have you think you are wholly abandoned, so that you might surrender to despair. But the very groan within you, the cry for God's direct hand, is evidence of the struggling life of a child of light still within you.

You say you cannot fight this any more, and here is a blessed truth: deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. You must not look to your own starving penances or your own frantic running to break this cycle. Look to your heavenly Father alone. He has found a ransom. If the One who held the slave in bondage says, "I have found the ransom," then the captive shall certainly be freed. Christ Jesus has already paid the penalty and broken the dominion of darkness for all His ransomed ones. Your deliverance is as sure as the throne of God, even if this hour you feel the rivets of the iron collar.

The secrecy of this horror is a part of its poison. Nobody knows: but One knows, and it is time to let His people become His hands. Stop starving yourself in shame; confess this specific grief to a godly elder or a mature sister in the faith. That which is dragged into the light often withers. The delusion that you are uniquely vile must be shattered, for the adversary hunts in silence. And then, when the deliverance comes, and it shall come when the appointed time arrives, you will not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. This very season of being chastened sorely will be the soil out of which a rich harvest of testimony will spring. The Lord has not shut His ear. Stand still, cease from the futile mastery of the flesh, and see the salvation of God which He will work for you, that you might eat the true Bread in sober, grateful, sustained life.

You have described a madness of your own choosing, a turning of your mouth and belly into sewers for excess, and you rightly perceive that a dark spirit has seized upon you. Yet do not imagine that the Lord's silence means He has handed you over to the enemy. The lion prowls, but He who delivered Paul from Nero's jaws will deliver you from every evil work if you do not yield.

You call on Jesus, but then you flee to starvation as though by punishing your body you could atone. This is not repentance but another snare. The pleasure of food is a fleeting thing, confined to the tongue; once the table is cleared, you are left with nothing but headache, sleeplessness, and a breath that is foul from overeating. That fleeting pleasure is not worth the bitter cursing of your belly that follows.

The true enemy is not the food itself but the inner voice you seek to numb. Bring this sin into the light. You say nobody knows; this secrecy is your ruin. Shame can be a mercy when it drives you to confession. Do not trade in your own calamity by hiding it, for if I were to hold my peace and say nothing, your punishment would only increase. Find a faithful brother or sister, or a priest, and confess what you have done. Let them pray over you and hold you accountable. Break the silence, and you will find that the Lord's silence was never rejection but the quiet before deliverance.

Do not trust in your own power, for you have none. That is the very lesson Christ is teaching you. Run to the church, to the prayers of the saints. Let them anoint you with the oil of mercy, for nothing pleases God so much as compassion. And when the temptation surges again, do not despair. The Lord delivered you from the lion's mouth before, and He will deliver you again, not only from the danger, but from every sin, so that you may stand without condemnation. Awake, then, from this dreamlike state. Stop numbing the pain and instead offer it up, with open hands, to the only One who can heal.

Your struggle is real, and the pain you describe is not hidden from God. He sees the hours that fade as you wake to the wreckage of another binge, the desperation to starve away the shame, and the voices that scream for silence. You have already named the only true hope: Jesus Christ, your rock and your life. That hope is not a fragile wish. It rests on the finished work of the One who came to seek and to save the lost, who went to the cross because if salvation were possible through any other means, through your willpower, through your rituals, through your own frantic efforts, then His death would have been unnecessary. But it was not. He died to redeem you from the power of sin itself.

The enemy wants you to interpret the silence of God as rejection, as being pushed away from hope. Do not believe that lie. Remember that Jesus Himself met a woman with a desperate need, and His first answer to her was silence. He knew all along He would heal her daughter. He was not casting her out. He was drawing out a faith that would not let go, a faith that persisted even when every outward sign said “no.” Your call on Jesus Christ is heard. The silence is not absence. The cross has already spelled the defeat of Satan. The enemy can roar, but he is a defeated foe. You have been delivered from the power of darkness. The deliverance you seek is not about identifying a specific spirit of gluttony, as if Christ’s work left some corner of your life untouched. What communion has light with darkness? You belong to Jesus, and He has set you apart.

This cycle of binging and starving is a brutal war, but it is not the deepest reality. The flesh wars against the spirit, and the spirit against the flesh. You are trying to numb a spiritual pain, a noise in your mind, with physical means that will never satisfy. It is like being extremely careful to feed your body three times a day but starving your spirit. The food becomes a false refuge that quickly turns into a prison. And then, to regain control, you try to starve the body into submission, but the body cannot heal the spirit. The law of self-denial cannot save you; it can only exhaust you. Righteousness is not a matter of what you eat or refuse to eat. Righteousness is something God has imputed to your account through grace, because of your faith in Jesus Christ. He looks at you and sees you in Christ, cleansed from your sins through His blood.

Let this truth silence the accusations. This is not a secret to be carried alone in darkness. The darkness thrives on isolation. You have confessed it now, and that is a step toward the light. Jesus ate with sinners, touching the common food from a common bowl, a sign that He was uniting their lives with His. He is not ashamed to enter your struggle. Bring this into the open, first by continuing to pour it out to Him, and then by finding a trusted, mature believer with whom you can share this weight. Sin against the body ultimately sins against Christ, but His forgiveness is immediate and complete for those who turn to Him. You are not fighting for victory; you are fighting from the victory He has already won. Your part now is to feed your spirit on what He has said, to give earnest heed to the things spoken by Jesus. He has begotten you again to a living hope by His resurrection. That hope is incorruptible, undefiled, and reserved for you.

Your honesty about the darkness you’re facing—those unseen battles with binge eating, the voices that accuse, and the exhaustion of cycling between despair and fleeting control—has stirred us to pray without ceasing. We have prayed for the Holy Spirit to flood you with His peace, to expose the lies you’ve believed, and to replace them with the truth of your identity in Christ: redeemed, beloved, and more than a conqueror. We’ve asked God to surround you with tangible support—people who can walk alongside you, wisdom to seek godly counsel, and the courage to break the isolation that fuels this battle.

If the Lord has already moved in answer to these prayers—if you’ve sensed His presence breaking through, if the chains have loosened even slightly—we beg you to share it with us. Your praise report will ignite faith in others and remind us all that our God is still a miracle-working God. But if the struggle persists, do not lose heart. We are not walking away. Post this need again, and we will rally around you with fresh intercession, standing firm on the promise that He who began a good work in you *will* complete it.

Until then, we release you from shame. You are not defined by this battle, but by the One who calls you His own. We pray for supernatural strength to resist the enemy’s schemes, for your body to be a temple where the Holy Spirit dwells in power, and for the peace of Christ to guard your heart and mind. May you feel the weight of heaven pressing in, driving out every shadow, and may the Father’s love wrap around you like a shield.
