Beloved Servant
I have been plagued with demonic harassment for years now likely due to exposure to the occult early in my life. Christ is making progress with this but some issues persist. This harassment often includes unwanted divination thoughts. I recently broke up with someone who I shouldn't have been involved with as he is not a Christian. I love him but that relationship was sinful and unequally yoked. I am being plagued with divination thoughts about this relationship including thoughts that he and I are meant to be together and that I will eventually go back to him. Me going back to him would be a terrible idea as God has warned me heavily about this relationship through others and I have even been warned of the possibility of physical abuse and harm being done to me by this ex if we continued together. The relationship had many red flags and he is psychologically abusive. Please pray for me about all this and for an end to it. Pray for his salvation and that of his loved ones. I love him but he is not the person I'm supposed to marry. Thank you.

We stand with you in this battle and we thank you for sharing so honestly about what you have endured, and we praise God that Christ is already making progress in your deliverance and that He has given you clarity to step away from a relationship that was not His will for you.

We want to affirm that your decision to break off that unequally yoked relationship was right and courageous in the eyes of the Lord. Scripture is clear that we are not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship has righteousness with iniquity, or what communion has light with darkness, 2 Corinthians 6:14. Courtship should always be with the goal of marriage to a fellow believer, and marriage itself is ordained by God as a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman. To continue in a relationship with an unbeliever, especially one marked by psychological abuse and the warning of potential physical harm, would not be love as God defines love, but disobedience that would put you in danger spiritually and physically. God in His mercy warned you heavily through others because He loves you and wants to protect you, and we urge you to heed that warning completely and not return. Feelings of love do not override God's wisdom and commands, and true love wants what is holy and safe and aligned with His will.

We also hear your confession that this relationship was sinful, and if that included sexual intimacy outside of marriage, we want to lovingly call that what Scripture calls it, fornication, and urge you to fully repent and receive His forgiveness and cleansing. We are told to flee sexual immorality, 1 Corinthians 6:18, and to keep the marriage bed pure, Hebrews 13:4. If you have not already, confess this specifically to the Lord, turn from it, and walk in purity going forward, trusting that His blood covers all sin when we repent.

Regarding the demonic harassment and unwanted divination thoughts, we want to speak clearly that divination in any form is an abomination to the Lord and is not from Him. There shall not be found with you anyone who uses divination, Deuteronomy 18:10-12. These intrusive thoughts telling you that you and this man are meant to be together and that you will go back to him are not prophecy and not the voice of the Holy Spirit, they are lies from the enemy to torment you, to keep a door open to the occult and to an ungodly and abusive bond. We must take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, 2 Corinthians 10:5, and test the spirits to see whether they are of God, 1 John 4:1. God does not speak through divination or compulsive fortune telling thoughts, He speaks through His Word, through His Spirit in peace and truth, and through godly counsel.

Your early exposure to the occult likely opened doors that the enemy has tried to exploit for years, but we rejoice that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world, 1 John 4:4. In Christ you have authority, and you must actively close every door. We encourage you to renounce out loud before the Lord any and all involvement with the occult, divination, or any related practices or objects, confess it as sin, ask for His forgiveness, remove from your home anything associated with it, and invite the Holy Spirit to fill every place once occupied by darkness. We encourage you to put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil, for our wrestling is not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers, Ephesians 6:11-12. Submit yourselves therefore to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you, James 4:7. Fill your mind daily with Scripture, worship, prayer and fellowship with strong believers who can stand with you in accountability and prayer, and if possible seek a mature pastor or biblical counselor for ongoing deliverance prayer and discipleship. Do not entertain the divination thoughts or argue with them, simply reject them in Jesus name and replace them with truth.

We now pray together for you.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Deliverer, and we thank You for this dear sister who has been set free by the blood of Jesus and is being made whole. We ask You to complete the work You have begun and to bring total deliverance from all demonic harassment and every lingering effect of early occult exposure. We renounce on her behalf every work of darkness, every spirit of divination, deception, torment and fear, and we command in Jesus name that every harassing spirit leave her now and have no more place in her mind, body or spirit. Lord, cleanse her mind and take every unwanted divination thought captive, and let her mind be renewed by Your Word. We pray You would surround her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, Philippians 4:7, and give her a sound mind, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control, 2 Timothy 1:7.

Father, we thank You for giving her the strength to leave this unequally yoked and abusive relationship. Confirm to her heart that she has obeyed You, heal the heartbreak and the trauma, and give her firm resolve never to return to what would harm her. Protect her physically, emotionally and spiritually from any retaliation or manipulation, and keep her steps firmly on Your path. Lead her in time to a godly marriage to a faithful Christian husband if it is Your will, one who will love her as Christ loves the church, Ephesians 5:25.

We also lift up this former boyfriend and his loved ones to You, Lord. We ask for Your mercy and salvation upon them, that You would open their eyes to the gospel, draw them to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, for there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. Save him, transform him, but keep our sister separate from him unless You do a profound and proven work of conversion and fruit over time under pastoral guidance.

We declare that You are her refuge and fortress, Psalm 91:2, and that no weapon formed against her shall prosper. Keep her close to Jesus, fill her home and heart with Your Holy Spirit, and let her walk in freedom, joy and wholeness from this day forward. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to walk in this freedom daily, to stay in the Word, to remain no contact with this man, to lean on your church family, and to remember that the Lord is near to those who are of a broken heart, Psalm 34:18. He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ, Philippians 1:6.

We are grateful you reached out and for the courage it took to step away from a relationship you knew was harmful, even while you still care for him. It makes sense that unwanted thoughts about going back would feel distressing and confusing, especially with the history of occult exposure and the ongoing harassment you describe. God sees how hard you are trying to follow Him and He is not distant from you in this struggle.

For your safety and peace, we encourage you to keep clear boundaries with your ex and to let a trusted pastor and one or two safe people know what you are experiencing, including the warnings you received about potential harm. Having people who know your situation, can check in regularly, and can help you make a simple safety plan can make a real difference when intrusive thoughts press in. Staying rooted in regular fellowship, prayer and time in Scripture with others can also steady you as Christ continues His work in you. A Christian counselor can walk with you as well alongside prayer.

Father, we lift our sister to You in Jesus name. Cover her with Your protection, quiet the harassing thoughts, and give her clear wisdom and strength to stay safe and walk in Your way. Bring healing from past exposure and from the hurt of this relationship, and draw her ex and his loved ones toward Your saving grace. Lead her to faithful support and keep her close to You. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request has been laid before the Lord with deep care and we join you in seeking His deliverance and keeping power.

We thank God for the work He has already begun in you and for the discernment He has given you to see that the yoke you bore was not the yoke of Christ. The Scripture warns, Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers, and you have done well to heed that precept though it cost you sorrow. To love one who does not love Christ, and to remain under the shadow of psychological cruelty and threatened harm, is not the path of peace or holiness. The warnings you have received through others we receive as the gracious whispers of a Father who chastens and guards His children, and we urge you to continue to heed them and to walk apart from that entanglement. To return would not be love but peril, and the Lord who has shown you the red flags calls you to seek safety and purity under His wing.

The harassment you describe, the unwanted thoughts of divination and the suggestion that you are meant to return to what God has called you to leave, is not the voice of the Shepherd. Our great enemy would keep the soul in cruel captivity, but deliverance from such captivity must be worked by the hand and outstretched arm of Jehovah alone. The Word tells us He has delivered us from the power of darkness and has translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son. That deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin, and where we look for justification there must we also look for sanctification. You need not fight this darkness in your own strength. God has found a ransom. His own Son has borne the penalty, and when God Himself proclaims, I have found a ransom, then is the deliverance certain, indeed it is already accomplished at the cross.

There is abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is healing. Those leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. When the Sun of Righteousness rises with healing beneath His wings, pardon and healing are one. What the occult once opened to defilement, the blood of Christ can purge and close. Confess all that former exposure to Him, turn from it wholly, and look continually to Jesus upon the cross and find in His wounds your healing and in His death your life.

We pray for you now.

O Lord our God, we bring this Your child before Your throne of grace. You see the long harassment, the weariness, the intrusive thoughts that would lead astray. We ask that You would rebuke every power of darkness that seeks to torment, and bring to silence every divining thought that is not from Your Spirit. Cover this soul with the blood of the Lamb that was slain, for it was when the lamb was slain that Your people were brought forth. Bring forth Your child also with enrichment, with peace and strength and joy in Your presence. Let the healing leaves of Christ be laid upon every wound left by sin and by the occult and by this unequally yoked union, and make the heart fresh and whole again. Grant discernment to test every thought by Your Word, courage to remain separate from what would harm, and a circle of faithful believers to watch and counsel and protect. Keep this one from all physical and spiritual harm and from the snare of returning to what You have forbidden. Establish these feet upon the Rock and teach this heart to declare the works of the Lord after affliction.

And Father, we pray for this man who does not yet know You, and for his loved ones. We do not ask You to bless a union outside Your will, but we ask You to have mercy upon his soul. Open his eyes to see Christ, grant him repentance and faith, that he might be saved. Whatever Your will for his life, bring him to salvation through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.

Keep this Your daughter abiding in Christ, in the Scriptures, in prayer, and in the fellowship of Your people, until every shadow of oppression is gone and she sings with Deborah of deliverance vouchsafed by a greater salvation. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our only hope and healer. Amen.

We have heard your request and thank you for sharing it with such honesty. What you describe is a heavy burden, and we want to stand with you in prayer for real deliverance and peace in Christ.

We affirm the step you have taken in ending a relationship that was unequally yoked. Scripture is clear that a believer is not to be bound together with an unbeliever, and that marriage is meant to be a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman lived within faith in Christ. Sex and living together belong only within that covenant. To walk away from a relationship that pulls you away from obedience, especially one where you have received repeated warnings and have seen signs of psychological abuse and the threat of physical harm, is not unloving but wise and necessary. Love for another person does not mean you are meant to marry that person, and returning to a relationship marked by those red flags would put you in danger spiritually and physically. We encourage you to maintain clear boundaries, stay connected to mature believers and pastoral care who can help you remain firm, and seek safe help immediately if you ever feel threatened.

We also hear your long struggle with demonic harassment linked to past exposure to the occult, and the distressing divination like thoughts that now tell you that you and this man are meant to be together and that you will go back. Those thoughts are not from the Lord and should not be entertained or followed. The occult and all forms of divination are to be turned from with firm authority, not explored or given a place. Christ came for two great purposes, to deliver us from evil and to supply what is good, to free us from the curse and to bring us into sonship so that we put on Christ and receive the Spirit of adoption. That is your hope. As Christ continues His work in you, the way forward is to renounce any remaining open doors to the occult, to bring those things into the light with a pastor, to fill your mind daily with Scripture, to pray in the name of Jesus, and to walk in the fellowship of the church where you can be strengthened and guarded.

We are praying for you and for him according to that hope.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son through whom alone salvation comes, we ask for Your mercy and power over our sister. Deliver her from every harassment of the evil one and close every door opened through the occult in the past. Silence the unwanted thoughts of divination and replace them with Your truth. Give her a renewed mind, firm assurance that she is Your child clothed in Christ and sealed with the Spirit of adoption, and strength to stand against the lie that she must return to what You have called her out of. Protect her from harm, surround her with wise and caring people, and grant her peace, discernment, and perseverance to despise what would destroy her and to cling to what gives life. We also pray for the salvation of this man and of his loved ones, that they would come to repentance and faith in Jesus alone, and that You would lead him to know You. Above all, establish her in holiness and in the hope of what You have promised, and keep her steps on the path that honors You. Amen.

Please continue to stay under the care of a local church, share these struggles with a trusted pastor, and do not walk through this alone. If intrusive thoughts or fears for your safety grow, reach out right away for pastoral and, if needed, professional support. We will continue to pray for your full freedom, healing, and wisdom in Christ.
