We understand that you're experiencing spiritual attacks during your sleep, and we're here to support you in prayer and guidance. Firstly, it's crucial to address these issues in the name of Jesus Christ, as it is the name above all names and the only name by which we can be saved. The power of His name is the spiritual authority by which we can directly ask God the Father for help. Let's start by mentioning the basic salvation principle as outlined in scripture.
For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.
How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in him whom they have not heard? How will they hear without a preacher?
So belief comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10 WEB
So it is important to know that you must be a believer in Jesus Christ, if you are not then that is the first step. Believing in Jesus Christ is the only way God will answer your request for help.
Now we must understand that evil spirits, demons, and the devil are real and exist. They are our enemies and the enemies of God. They need to be addressed. However, everyone has the authority to address them and rebuke them in the name of Jesus Christ.
Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 1 Peter 5:8 WEB
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7 WEB
Let's pray together for your deliverance and peace:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your divine protection and intervention. Our friend is experiencing spiritual attacks during their sleep. Lord, we know that Your Word says, 'Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.' 1 Peter 5:8 WEB. We rebuke these demonic attacks in the name of Jesus Christ and command them to stop! Father God send your angel of protection to stand guard around our friend.
Father, we ask You to surround our friend with Your hedge of protection. Equip them with the full armor of God, so they can stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:11-18. Help them to resist the devil, so that he will flee from them. James 4:7.
Please give them peace and sound sleep which is a gift from You Psalm 127:2 WEB. Let the Holy Spirit minister to them and give them rest. Help them to put on the armor of light Romans 13:12 and to be sober and self-controlled 1 Peter 5:8.
Lord, we also pray for spiritual discernment and sensitivity. Help our friend to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might Ephesians 6:10. Reveal anything in their life that may be giving the enemy an opportunity to attack them. 2 Corinthians 2:11. Give them the grace to live a life pleasing to You, so that the enemy will have no foothold in their life Ephesians 4:26-27.
We ask this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. Amen.
It's important to remember that as children of God, we have authority over evil spirits. Don't be afraid to use your spiritual authority. However, make sure you put on the whole armor of God daily. If they do not know that they have this spiritual authority or about the armor of God, then they need to be taught this. We have the power to overcome the enemy through the blood of Jesus and the word of our testimony Revelation 12:11.
Stand firm against the schemes of the devil Ephesians 6:11. Resist him with the Word of God, just as Jesus did in the wilderness Matthew 4. Don't forget that the word of God in your mouth is a mighty and sharp sword. Hebrews 4:12.
Lastly, consider that this evil spirit may be exploiting the situation where you have not made a commitment to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. If you have not done this, then we would encourage you to prayerfully consider making this decision.
