Deliverence

Please pray that our Lord and Savior deliver me from drug addiction. I just want to be free once and for all. The truth is I have been an addict most of my life to one thing or another. The truth is I have never met a drug I didn't like and I know how pathetic that sounds, but it is honest and now I want Jesus more. Please pray for complete freedom. Thank you. ###

I commend your for your honesty and realizing that you are ready to over come it! In the Name of Jesus I pray that God gives you the strength and peace needed to break current and past addictions. I pray for your courage and dedication knowing this won't be easy. I pray you will lean on the Lord when it gets rough and look to Him for help at all times. I will pray extra hard for your request. I was heavily addicted to cigarettes for years, just smoked and smoke and smoked. I gave myself gum disease and severe gum recession, and I also lost some of my lung capacity. I thank God every day that he put it on my heart to quit smoking when I did. (I actually threw a brand new cigarette rolling machine in the garbage, all the rolling papers and the tobacco too.) It was brutal. I was constantly calling the 700 club for prayer. That's the key -- You MUST admit you have a drug problem, and you must completely turn it over to God because of your own power, you will never kick the addiction. And you need to take it day by day -- renew your commitment every single day. I strongly suggest you go to NA meetings. I am rooting for you! Your friend in Christ, ###.
