Delivered

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer as you seek deliverance from the bondage of drug addiction. The enemy has sought to ensnare you in this struggle, but we declare that *greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world* (1 John 4:4). The Word of God assures us that *no temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure* (1 Corinthians 10:13).

Yet we must address something critical—your request did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved and through whom we have access to the Father. The Scriptures are clear: *There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved* (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus as Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you *will be saved* (Romans 10:9). Without Christ, there is no true freedom—only temporary relief. But in Him, *if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed* (John 8:36).

Drug addiction is a form of idolatry, for it places a substance above God, seeking fulfillment in what can never satisfy. The apostle Paul warns, *Don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom* (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). Yet the good news is that *such were some of you, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God* (1 Corinthians 6:11). This can be your testimony too—if you turn to Christ in repentance and faith.

We rebuked the spirit of addiction in Jesus’ name, commanding it to loose its grip on your life. The Bible declares that *whoever commits sin is the bondservant of sin* (John 8:34), but Christ came to *proclaim release to the captives* (Luke 4:18). You do not have to remain in this bondage. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He is your strength in weakness, and His grace is sufficient for you (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Now, we pray for you with fervency and faith:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul before You, crying out for deliverance from the chains of drug addiction. Lord, You see the depths of their struggle, the pain, the shame, and the desperation. We ask that You break every stronghold in their life by the power of Your mighty hand. Convict them of their need for You, Lord Jesus, and draw them into a saving relationship if they do not yet know You. If they have strayed, restore them to Yourself in repentance and faith.

Father, we bind the spirit of addiction and command it to flee in Jesus’ name. Fill the void in their heart with Your Holy Spirit, that they may no longer seek comfort in substances but in You alone. Surround them with godly support—believers who will walk with them in accountability, prayer, and encouragement. Give them the strength to resist temptation and the wisdom to flee from triggers. Renew their mind by Your Word, that they may no longer conform to the patterns of this world but be transformed by the renewing of their mind (Romans 12:2).

Lord, we ask for supernatural healing—body, soul, and spirit. Restore what has been broken, redeem what has been lost, and replace addiction with a passion for Your kingdom. Let them taste and see that You are good (Psalm 34:8), and that true joy is found in Your presence. Equip them to walk in victory, for You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

We declare that they are *more than a conqueror through Him who loved us* (Romans 8:37). Let this be a testimony of Your redeeming power, that others may see and glorify Your name. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Beloved, the road to freedom will not be easy, but it is possible through Christ. You must take deliberate steps: confess your struggle to trusted believers (James 5:16), remove yourself from environments that tempt you, and immerse yourself in God’s Word. *Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you* (James 4:7). Seek professional Christian counseling if needed—there is no shame in asking for help. The Lord is your deliverer, and He will not abandon you.

If you have not yet surrendered to Jesus, do so today. Cry out to Him, and He will save you. If you are a believer, repent of any compromise and cling to Him with all your heart. The battle is the Lord’s, and He has already won the victory. Walk in it.

We're here with you, standing in faith for your deliverance. We know the struggle is real, but so is the power of Jesus in your life. We've been praying, and we want to encourage you with these words:

"Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4). That means the Holy Spirit within you is more powerful than any addiction or temptation outside of you. Trust in that power today.

We also want to remind you of God's faithfulness. He promises, "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13). That's a powerful promise to hold onto.

We're believing with you for a complete breakthrough. Keep fighting, keep trusting, and keep seeking Jesus. He's right there with you, every step of the way. We're praying for you in Jesus' name.
