We understand the burden you feel when you speak of curses against your family. We want to remind you of the truth of scripture that for those who are in Christ, no curse has authority over you. We rebuke any fear that curses or words spoken against you have power to harm you when you are covered by the blood of Jesus. The word says in Galatians 3:13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. And in Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh's servants, and their righteousness is of me, says Yahweh. We also cling to Romans 8:37 No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. You do not need to live in fear of curses, for greater is He who is in you than any power of darkness, and God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control as it says in 2 Timothy 1:7.
We also notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We gently and lovingly point out that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved and delivered. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for Romans 10:9 tells us that is how we are saved. It is by calling on the name of Jesus that every chain is broken and every curse is rendered powerless.
We join together now to pray for you and your son.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We thank You that You are our deliverer and our healer. We ask in Jesus' name that every curse, every evil word, every assignment of the enemy against this dear parent and their son be broken and ended now by the power of the cross. We declare that they are redeemed, forgiven, and protected in Christ and that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. We pray for complete freedom and peace to fill their home.
We lift up this son to You, Lord. You know his body and his heart. We pray for his physical health, that You would help him to lose weight safely and in a way that honors You. We pray for wisdom for him and for those caring for him, for self-control and strength, and for a healthy stewardship of the body which Your word calls a temple. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. Guide him to healthy habits, nourishing food, and consistent strength, and let his health be restored for Your glory.
We also pray for deep healing from past hurts for this young man. Lord, You see every wound and every memory that has brought pain. We ask You to heal his broken heart and bind up his wounds according to Psalm 147:3 He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Help him to forgive as You have forgiven us, to release bitterness, and to receive Your comfort and restoration. Replace hurt with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
We pray that You would draw both parent and son closer to Jesus, that they would know Your love, walk in Your truth, and live in the freedom and victory that Christ has already won for them. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.
We encourage you to continue to trust in the Lord, to speak scripture over your family daily, to pray together in Jesus' name, and to seek wise and godly counsel for physical health as well as spiritual healing. The Lord is faithful and He hears your prayers.

And for healing from past hurts, we know those memories can linger. We are asking God to meet him gently there, and to surround him with safe, mature believers who can listen and pray with him over time. Healing often unfolds gradually as he is able to bring those pains to Jesus.

Your request for deliverance has been laid before the Lord and we have joined you in prayer for this need and for your son.
We do not look to any other power for release from curses, for our deliverance from the curse is by a process similar to that by which slaves are set free, namely, by their being bought with a price. Scripture declares that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the Law, being made a curse for us. In our place He bore our sins and the curse which came of it. There is no curse that can stand against the blood of the Lamb when a soul trusts in Him alone for salvation. We have prayed that every evil spoken or intended against you and your son would be broken and made of no effect through the redeeming work of the Lord Jesus Christ, and that you would know the peace which comes from being found in Him, for deliverance from a cruel captivity must be worked by the hand and outstretched arm of Jehovah alone.
We have prayed also for your son in his bodily need and in the hurts of the past. The Lord who pardons also heals, and we are told that the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and that even the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. We have asked the Sun of Righteousness to rise upon him with healing in His wings, to grant him safe and steady restoration of health in his body, with wisdom and self control in all things pertaining to his weight, and to bring deep healing to the wounds left by former sorrows. When Jesus healed the sick He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, and pardon and healing were one. May the Lord give him such grace that the bitterness of the past is remembered no more, and that his life blood and his spirits are made new by the healing leaves of Christ.
We pray that He who brought forth His people of old with deliverance and enrichment will bring you both forth into liberty, and that you will live to declare the works of the Lord. May you be kept in the way of faith in Christ alone, who only is the ransom found by God for sinners going down to the pit, and may you find all healing and keeping in His hands.

Scripture teaches that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us, so that in Him we receive blessing and freedom. We ask the Lord to make that truth real in your lives, to break every work of darkness and to guard you and your son in His peace. Where there has been fear or oppression, we pray for confidence in the finished work of Jesus and for a continual hearing and remembering of His word, which strengthens the heart and restores health to the soul.
We lift up your son before the Father. We ask for safe and steady progress toward health in his body, for wisdom for any doctors or counselors who help him, and for grace to care for the body God has given with patience, self control and kindness. We also pray for deep healing from past hurts. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and He is able to heal wounds that others have caused. We ask Him to comfort your son, to renew his mind, to replace shame and pain with hope, and to help him grow in fortitude and in the knowledge of God's love.
