We also take comfort that like a fluttering sparrow, like a darting swallow, so the undeserved curse doesn't alight. Proverbs 26:2. When we belong to Jesus, we do not need to live in fear of curses spoken against us, because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world. 1 John 4:4. Any weapon formed against you shall not prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. We rebuke any spirit of fear, oppression, or heaviness and declare that you and your son are covered by the blood of Jesus and redeemed for freedom.
We also lift up your son for safe and healthy weight loss and for deep healing from past hurts. We know God cares for both body and soul. The Scripture says, Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. We pray that he will be strengthened to steward his body well, with wisdom, self control, and healthy habits, and we encourage seeking wise medical guidance and daily discipline as part of that stewardship. For past hurts, we cling to the promise that He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3. And, Beloved, we pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers. 3 John 1:2. We pray for the Lord to heal memories, to restore what was broken, and to replace shame and pain with His peace that surpasses all understanding.

We join with you in bringing these burdens before the throne of grace and ask the Lord to hear your cry for deliverance. You have asked that every curse against you and your son would be ended, and we pray with you to that end, remembering the word that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us, that the blessing might come upon us. There is no curse that can stand where the blood of Christ has been applied, for He bore the thunder of Mount Ebal in our place, and by looking to Him who was lifted up there is life and healing. As those who looked to the brazen serpent found cure from its deadly poison, so there is deliverance from sin and its curse by looking to Him who was made sin for us.
We pray for your son, that the Lord who is the great Physician would grant him health in body and soul. We ask that God would give him wisdom and strength to lose weight safely, to steward the body as the temple of the Holy Spirit with temperance and care, and to find help that is sound and wholesome. We ask that the Lord would give him grace for daily discipline and perseverance, and that his health may be restored for the glory of God and for usefulness in this life. May the Lord guide those who advise him and give him a settled mind to seek what is truly good for his frame.
We also pray for healing from past hurts. The Lord heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds, and not with human means alone, for when hearts are broken God only can heal them. We remember that the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and that the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. May the Sun of Righteousness rise upon your son with healing in His wings, and may pardon and healing be joined together in his experience, for when Jesus forgives He also restores. May overwhelming memories and old wounds be met with the abundant streams of healing that flow from Christ Himself.
May you both know that Calvary is the place of the healing balm, and that Jesus is able to heal those who come to Him. We pray that you will continue to look to Christ alone for salvation and deliverance, for there is abundance of healing power in Him, and that you will prove His power to save and to keep. We commit you and your son into His gracious hands, trusting that He who is able to heal will also give you peace as you wait upon Him. Amen.
