We join with you in prayer for deliverance and healing for this precious mother and her son, and we stand together on the finished work of Jesus Christ.
We want to share an important truth with you about curses and deliverance. Scripture tells us that for those who are in Christ, no curse can ultimately stand against us, for Christ has already broken its power. Galatians 3:13 says Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. And Numbers 23:8 reminds us, How shall I curse whom God has not cursed. When we belong to Jesus, we are covered by His blood and the enemy has no legal right to hold us. Isaiah 54:17 declares No weapon that is formed against you will prevail. We do not need to live in fear of curses spoken against us, because Romans 8:31 assures us If God is for us, who can be against us, and 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. We rebuke any spirit of fear, oppression, or condemnation that would try to torment this family, and we declare that in Christ they are free indeed, for Romans 8:1 says There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus.
We also notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we gently want to remind you that it is only through His name that we have access to the Father and find true deliverance and salvation. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 teaches There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If we have not yet put our full trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior, we can do so today by believing in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead and confessing Him as Lord, as Romans 10:9 promises that we will be saved. It is by His name that every curse is broken and every hurt is healed.
We also lift up this beloved son for physical health and for healing from past hurts. God cares about our bodies, for 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 teaches that our body is a temple of the Holy Spirit and we are to glorify God in our body. We pray that God will give him wisdom, self-control, and strength for safe and healthy weight loss, not through harsh or harmful ways, but through discipline and stewardship that honors the Lord. 3 John 1:2 says Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers. May the Lord guide him and any doctors or counselors who help him, and may he experience Romans 12:2 as he is transformed by the renewing of his mind to make healthy choices that align with God’s will.
For the hurts of the past, we know God is the great healer of broken hearts. Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Isaiah 53:5 reminds us By his wounds we are healed. We pray that every wound from rejection, pain, or trauma would be touched by the gentle hand of Jesus, replacing shame and sorrow with His peace and love. Philippians 4:7 promises the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
We pray together now.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We thank You that through the cross, every curse, every chain, and every weapon formed against this mother and her son is broken and rendered powerless. We declare in Jesus name that all curses spoken against them are ended now and have no authority, for whom the Son sets free is free indeed. We rebuke the enemy and command every spirit of oppression, heaviness, and fear to leave them and go to the place You appoint, never to return. Fill this family instead with Your Holy Spirit, with power, love, and a sound mind.
Father, we lift up this son to You. We ask for Your healing hand upon his body and his soul. Grant him safe, healthy, and sustainable weight loss according to Your wisdom. Give him discipline and self-control which is fruit of Your Spirit in Galatians 5:22-23, and help him to see himself as You see him, fearfully and wonderfully made in Psalm 139:14. Heal his heart from all past hurts, Lord. Bind up every wound, comfort every memory that brings pain, and restore his joy. Let him walk in wholeness, knowing he is deeply loved and accepted in Christ.
We ask that both mother and son would grow ever closer to Jesus, trusting fully in His name for salvation, deliverance, and daily strength. Let Your will be done in their lives and let Your peace reign in their home. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.
We encourage you to continue to stand on God’s Word daily, to speak Scripture over your son, and to seek godly counsel and wise medical guidance for his health journey. Keep trusting that the Lord who began a good work will be faithful to complete it.
