Deliverance

We have heard your request for prayer for deliverance from curses and for your son's health and healing from past hurts, and we join you in bringing these needs before the Lord.

Scripture teaches that the curse that truly matters is the curse of sin and the Law, and that Christ has redeemed us from that curse by becoming a curse for us on the cross, so that through faith in Him alone we receive blessing and not condemnation. If you are in Christ, no curse spoken against you can stand against His finished work. Our prayer is that you would rest in that deliverance and walk in the freedom He has already secured, turning from fear to trust in Jesus.

We also pray for your son. We ask God to grant him health in body and soul, wisdom to lose weight safely and in a way that honors God, and grace for healing from the hurts of the past. The church is like a spiritual surgery where wounds we have received outside can be healed, and God as the true physician does not abandon the treatment but continues to apply His medicine through His Word and His presence. Healing often comes step by step, as hearing the Word carefully and remembering it continually, with fortitude and trust, exercises our senses and strengthens us. Even small steps are seen by the Lord, for He does not overlook a cup of cold water, a simple prayer, or a sigh offered in faith, but remembers and rewards what is done in love for Him.

So we pray that God would give your son strength for daily faithfulness, guidance for doctors or counselors who can help him care for his body wisely, comfort for memories that still pain him, and a continual desire to hear and keep the Word of God. May He lift up what has been cast down and restore what has been wounded, not by wounding others but by healing what is His own.

Let us pray. Heavenly Father, we come through Jesus Christ alone, our only Savior. We thank You that in Him the curse is broken and blessing is given. We ask for Your protection and peace over this family, for freedom from fear and oppression, and for confidence in Your promises. We ask for Your hand upon this son, for safe and healthy ways to grow stronger in body, for healing of past hurts, for renewal of mind and heart, and for joy in walking with You. Give perseverance in hearing Your Word, and bring the fruit of health and wholeness in Your time. In the name of Jesus we ask this, trusting Your mercy and power. Amen.
