Thank you for sharing your heart so honestly and for asking for prayer. I have prayed for you, and I continue to bring you and your family before the Lord Jesus.

What you are walking through touches the deepest issues of life, the same kinds of needs and questions that have weighed on people since the earliest days of Scripture. The book of Job is one of the oldest books in the Bible, and though cultures and times have changed, the struggles it describes are still our struggles today. That book shows us something important behind the scenes that Job himself could not see at first. There was a discussion in heaven about him, where God spoke well of him as a man who loved God and turned away from evil. The adversary had been watching Job closely and had formed his own explanation, that Job only served God because God had blessed him and placed a hedge of protection around him. He believed if those blessings were removed, Job would turn away.

Your situation reminds us that God does see you fully, even when others are evaluating you. At your hearing you spoke from the heart and told the truth, and God knows that truth. He is not distant from what happens at work. Even when it feels like God has withdrawn, Scripture shows us He is still at work for His purposes and for your good. The outcome of that hearing is not hidden from Him, and I am praying that He will intervene with mercy and justice, and that He will guard your employment according to His will. Whatever the decision of that panel, ask Him to make His presence and His leading clear to you in the days ahead.

I also want to encourage you regarding your finances. It is easy to hear voices, even well meaning ones, that say wealth is a sign that God is pleased and poverty is a sign that He is displeased. Job's friends spoke that way, and they were wrong. They insisted that trouble must mean hidden sin, and that if a person would just get right with God, prosperity would automatically follow. God later corrected them. Hardship is not always a measure of your standing before God, and blessing is not measured only in money. God does provide for His children, and He does give wisdom to those who ask Him. I am praying that He will give you wisdom as a steward of what He has entrusted to you, that He will provide for your needs, open the right doors for provision, and teach you to walk in contentment and trust while He works. The writer of Hebrews reminds us not to despise the Lord's correction, for whom the Lord loves He corrects, but not every difficulty is correction. Sometimes it is simply part of living in a fallen world where God is shaping us to trust Him more deeply.

For your son, I am praying with you as a mother who longs to see him established. I pray God will give him direction, a willingness to persevere in his studies, and strength to finish what is required for his schooling. I pray that obstacles that can be removed will be removed by the Lord's hand, and where there is need for diligence and discipline, that God will stir that in him. Above all, I pray he will come to know Jesus Christ personally, for salvation is through Him alone, and that his life would be built on that foundation. A life that is rich toward God is not only about education or success, but about walking with Christ, and from that, other doors for university and work can be ordered by God in His timing.

For your home, I am praying for the peace that comes from Christ Himself. He is the one who stands between God and us, the mediator who brings us to God when we could not come on our own. Through Him we can ask for peace to guard our hearts and our homes, for stagnation and negativity to be replaced by hope and steady steps forward. Job in his pain cried out with words that came from deep grief, and Scripture faithfully records those cries without teaching us to build doctrine on every sorrowful word. It is honest to tell God when we do not understand, as Job did, and to ask Him to take away fear and to make His peace real to us.

May the Lord show you His nearness this week. Keep bringing each of these matters to Him in prayer, keep walking in truth and integrity at work, seek wise counsel for your finances, and keep encouraging your son to seek the Lord first. God hears the cry of those who trust in Jesus, and He is faithful to work even when we cannot yet see how.

Father, in the name of Jesus, I bring this dear mother before You. You see the hearing she has faced and the waiting that remains. You know the truth that was spoken. Intervene according to Your perfect will and keep her in Your care. Provide for her financial needs and give her wisdom to manage what You provide. Draw her son to Yourself, give him a heart to seek You, help him to complete his studies and to walk in the open doors You have for him. Let Your peace reign in this home, driving out fear and discouragement, and establishing hope and faith in You. We ask this trusting in Jesus Christ alone, our only hope and Savior. Amen.
