We lift you and your son before the Lord together and we stand with you in faith for deliverance, for health, and for healing of the heart.
We hear your concern about curses and we want to remind you of the victory we have in Christ. The Word tells us that Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us Galatians 3:13. For those who are in Christ, no curse can have final power over us, for if God is for us, who can be against us Romans 8:31 and greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4. We do not need to live in fear of curses, but in confidence in Jesus. We rebuke fear and every assignment of the enemy against you and your son, for no weapon that is formed against you will prevail Isaiah 54:17, and we claim the promise that in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us Romans 8:37. We encourage you to walk daily in that freedom by putting on the full armor of God, staying in prayer, in the Word, and in obedience, for God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7.
We also bring your son before the Lord for his physical health and for healing from past hurts. Our bodies are a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in us, which we have from God, and we are called to glorify God in our body 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. We pray that your son will be able to lose weight safely and in a way that honors God, through balanced nourishment, healthy activity, and wisdom, and we encourage you to seek godly medical counsel as you pursue this, trusting that God desires that we prosper and be in health 3 John 1:2. For the hurts of the past, we know the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18 and that he heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. We pray he will bring deep inner healing, replace pain with peace, and help your son to cast every anxiety on him, knowing he cares for us, so that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard his heart and mind Philippians 4:6-7.

Heal his heart from every past hurt, every wound and memory that still causes pain. Pour out your love, comfort him, and make him whole. Lead this family closer to you each day and help them walk in the freedom and victory you have already provided. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen.

Your cry for deliverance and for your son has been heard and we bring it before the Lord with you in prayer.
We are moved by your burden, that you feel as though curses lie upon you and your son, and that you long for them to be ended, for your son to be strengthened in body and healed in heart from past hurts. Know that the Scripture speaks plainly of the curse, that the law curses every one who does not continue in all things written therein, yet it also proclaims a greater truth for all who trust in Christ. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us. Our deliverance is not by a charm or by our own power, but by a redemptive work for us, by Him who bore our sins and the curse that came of them. As one has said, nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance of a sinner from the pit of hell through a ransom if God had not thought of it, but God has found a ransom, His own Son has borne the penalty. So we do not look to any other hope, but to Jesus Christ alone, who alone can bring us forth out of captivity.
We pray for you now after this manner.
O Lord God, whose arm alone works deliverance, look in mercy upon this dear one and upon her son. If there be any true guilt that condemns, we pray that they may see it washed away in the blood of the Lamb that was slain, for that is when deliverance comes. Let them know that in Christ the curse is broken and the pit is closed, for Thou hast been gracious and hast said, I have found a ransom. Grant them to rest not in any outward word spoken against them, but in the finished work of Thy Son, who was made a curse for us that we might receive the blessing.
We ask also for healing, for Thou hast shown us that the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and that the least thing about Christ is healing virtue. Like the Sun of Righteousness rising with healing in His wings, come to this son with pardon and healing together, for pardon and healing are one in Thy hand. Touch his body, give wisdom for safe and steady care of his health, that he may lose weight in a way that strengthens and does not harm, with temperance and sound counsel and daily strength to walk in it. Touch his heart also and his mother's heart, where past hurts have left their wound. Heal the spirits and make the nature new. Thou who hast promised that the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick, and that past reproach shall be remembered no more, give them to meditate not on terror that is past, but on mercy that shall be forever their own.
Grant them after this affliction to live and declare the works of the Lord, to find that coming to Thy table and to Thy Word is ever fresh, and that Thou bringest forth Thy people not empty but enriched by Thy grace. Keep them in peace within and without, and let the clock of mercy strike the hour of their deliverance according to Thy perfect will.
