We join with you in prayer for deliverance and for your son and we thank you for bringing these burdens before the Lord together in Jesus' name.

We want to remind you of the power and authority we have in Christ over any curse or weapon formed against us. The Scripture says Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us Gal 3:13 and No weapon that is formed against you will prevail Isa 54:17. For those who are in Christ, curses have no legal hold because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4. We do not need to live in fear of curses, but we do stand firm in faith, resist the enemy, and walk in obedience, forgiveness, and the truth of God's Word. The weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds 2 Cor 10:4. So we rebuke any fear, oppression, or lie that you or your son are still under a curse, and we declare that whom the Son sets free is free indeed.

We also lift up your son for safe and healthy weight loss and for healing from past hurts. We know God cares about both body and soul. Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God. You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s 1 Cor 6:19-20. We pray for wisdom and self control for him, for healthy habits, nourishing food, faithful stewardship of his body, and for strength to walk in discipline without harshness or harm. We pray as the apostle prayed Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers 3 John 1:2. And for the hurts of the past, we know our Father is tender and near. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Ps 147:3. We encourage your son to bring every wound to Jesus, to forgive those who have hurt him as Christ has forgiven us, and to allow the Lord to renew his mind and restore his soul day by day. In all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us Rom 8:37.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that deliverance and healing truly come. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your complete trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name for salvation and for every need.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we thank You that You hear us. We declare in Jesus' name that every curse, spell, or word spoken against this dear parent and their son is broken and rendered powerless by the blood of Jesus. We ask You to fill their home with Your peace, protection, and light, and let no weapon formed against them prosper. Lord, we lift up this son to You. Touch his body and help him to lose weight safely and in a way that honors You and strengthens his health. Give him discipline, encouragement, and wise counsel, and guard him from discouragement or unhealthy ways. Heal his heart from every past hurt, every rejection, every wound, and pour out Your comfort and love upon him. Restore his joy and let him know how deeply he is loved and valued by You. Help both parent and son to walk closely with Jesus, to be rooted in Your Word, and to be filled with hope. We ask all this in the name of Jesus our deliverer and healer, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to speak Scripture over your son daily, to pray together, to seek wise and godly counsel for health, and to trust that God is faithful to complete the healing and freedom He has begun in your family.

We are so glad you reached out and shared what is on your heart for you and your son. Carrying a sense of curses or past hurts can feel exhausting, and wanting your son to be healthy and whole is such a loving concern.

We join you in asking Jesus to bring freedom and peace into your home. We do not see deliverance as something to chase or fear, but as simply inviting Jesus to be present where there has been pain or oppression, trusting Him to do what only He can do in His timing and way.

For your son, we are praying for safe, steady steps toward health and for healing in the places where past hurts still sting. Because weight and health are so personal, it helps to have wise support alongside prayer, and we encourage you to talk with his doctor or a trusted clinician about a safe plan that fits him. Having that guidance can take pressure off both of you and give you a clear, nonnegotiable target to work toward together.

For the deeper hurts, healing often comes gradually as you both experience safety, kindness, and the steady presence of God and caring people. You do not have to rush that process.

Father, in Jesus name we ask You to lift what has weighed on this family, to cover this mother and her son with Your protection and peace, to guide them to helpful support, and to gently heal what has been wounded. Bring wholeness in Your way. Amen.

Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. We have heard your cry for deliverance for yourself and for your son, and we have taken it to the throne of grace where God hears the poor and needy who trust in Him.

You speak of curses, and the Scripture does indeed tell us that the law curses the sinner solemnly. It is the rolling thunder of threatened wrath against all who break it. But hear the glad tidings which is the very heart of the gospel. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us. We are not delivered by a moral change in ourselves, but by a redemptive work done for us. Christ was slain and has redeemed us to God by His blood. He bore our sins and the curse which came of them in our place. This is substitution. God has not only invented a way of deliverance, but He has found a ransom, and that ransom is His own Son. Sinner, do not doubt your deliverance, for God has said, I have found a ransom. If you are in Christ Jesus, no curse can hold you, for He has borne it, and the pit cannot claim you.

You ask also for healing and for your son, that he may lose weight safely and be healed from past hurts. We are told that the Sun of Righteousness rises with healing beneath His wings, and that the very leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations. There is abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the least thing about Christ is healing. Pardon and healing are one. When Jesus forgives, He heals the broken spirit, and He changes the life blood and makes the nature other than it was before. Deliverance from a cruel captivity must be worked by the hand and outstretched arm of Jehovah alone, and He brings His people forth and makes their deliverance effectual.

Let us pray with you.

O Lord our God, who alone can bring forth Thy people from bondage, we come in the name of Jesus who was made a curse for us that we might be free. We ask that Thou wouldst show this dear soul and her son that they are redeemed by blood and that every curse is broken at the cross. Let them know that they are not under wrath but under grace, and that no weapon formed against them shall stand while they abide in Christ.

We pray for this son. Thou knowest his frame, for Thou hast made him. Grant him health of body and health of soul. Give him wisdom and strength to steward his body well, to find safe and temperate ways to grow strong, and to be sustained by Thy grace in the labour. Heal also the hurts of the past which still wound the heart. Thou art the God who pardons and heals. Speak to the wounded spirit, Forgive and be whole, and let the joy of pardon make the sorrow of the past to be remembered no more. Lift them both from the pit and set their feet upon a rock.

We ask that after this affliction they may live and declare the works of the Lord, and find that even the breaking of bread is fresh to them as they taste again that the Lord is gracious. Keep them, we beseech Thee, and let the clock of mercy strike the hour of their deliverance, for the time is in Thy hand. We ask all in the precious name of Jesus Christ our only hope and our ransom.
